Wow Randy with the win! Loved all of the vintage that he sent. Gotta remind myself to look up the Barons final days. Great stache on Louie Dampier. And the biggest reveal of the day is about Dave DeBuschere. Never knew he played baseball, very cool

@@macwaxxstacks There are a fair amount of guys who were 2-sport athletes in the 50s and 60s who people don’t think of. It wasn’t fully uncommon. Steve Hamilton is another. Played 2 years in the NBA before a decade long pitching career. And of course, Chuck Connors, The Rifleman, played in both the NBA and MLB.

Got me a few of those Master Photo cards recently (Travis Fryman, Devers and Trout). Neat Killebrew auto card; I like that his cards mostly show his powerful swing.
I'll look out for that Norman Rockwell set. Thanks man, another good one!

@@diverdave2179 I loved that the auto on the Killibrew card followed along his body’s swing line. Great signature and nod to his swing.

The Vollmer and Killebrew cards are terrific! Wanted to draw your attention to the Serge Savard card as he is in the hockey hall of fame. Hal Smith hit a dramatic home run in game 7 of the 1960 world series. Modern stat analysis by Bill Simmons (ESPN Grantland) measures his homer as statistically the most important in baseball history. The Reds asked for Curt Belfary instead of Milt Pappas in the Frank Robinson trade. Belfary won the AL RoY for 1965 and the Orioles turned the Reds down. Belfary's power could have been great in Crosley Field, however his fielding was so bad his nickname was clank. The Golden Seals were owned by Charles O Finley, who as you know also owned the A's. He changed the Seals colors to green and gold to match the A's.

@@randylochtefeld2806 That makes sense with Savard. He was on those dominant Canadiens teams. I had no idea about Hal Smith! Very cool. I know Blefary as a ROY, and more importantly to me, a Topps All-Star rookie trophy card guy. I knew the Seals had the same colors. I assumed it was to match the A’s, as some other cities do with their multiple sport franchises. I didn’t know it was because of Finley. Finley was a nut… among other words that players had for him. Lol.

@@randylochtefeld2806 True story, as a young electrician my dad changed lightbulbs at Crosley Field before the 1969 season. I believe it was the 1969 season.

@@PennySleeveSteve Thanks man. I didn’t do any research on the Bush set and the 3 others, but for 3 or 4 bucks, I figured they had to be worth it just for the fun. Hahaha. The Kraft boxes are awesome!

@@albertgarza810 See, I didn’t even think about the Oklahoma ties there. Partly because I have no clue who Creed Humphrey is. Haha. But I’m sure he’s tired of people asking him “can you take me higher”? Thanks for watching and commenting.
