Oooh. Another Filipino artist. You won't regret going down this rabbit hole. You're just scratching the surface. Welcome to the Philippines. KZ "The Soul Supreme" Tandingan (tahn-dee-ngan) and yes! Those were all Tagalog words. It's a naturally percussive language so it naturally lends itself well to rap. Also, THIS is how you do a cover. She made it her own without feeling gimmicky or straying too too far from the original melody. Have fun fellas. Oh and did you see her earring fall off because she was rocking so hard.

No, No ... this is PH. They sing all the time and anywhere. I don't think that Western rigid system applies to them.
Absolutely correct. Singing communities didn't exists in America. They treat it nuisance and call the police. The Philippines is one island giant Karaoke singing competition where Filipinos sang their favorites anywhere and everywhere. Even at funerals loved ones sang for the departed at funerals for the last time.
We are having huge maritime issues with China right now which can turn into a war that nobody wants but at this time , only this moment China and the Philippines respected each other and there was peace . One thing with KZ every cover song she performs , she rearranges it and turn it into something different like a child coloring beyond the lines and not following any rules.
Auto tune was utilized to express the confusion brought about by depression, delirium and frustration along with the use of alcohol or drugs - kind of a fugue state …
Filipinos do not need those drug stuff to relax their diaphrams or whatever to go up on stage to perform. t's in our dna, we learn to sing even we learn to speak
