    Nice, way more affordable than the Stowaway mount.

    Is the base, where it mounts to the boat large enough for four screws or is it just the single screw shown in your video?

      @christoffchefful  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So the bottom plate can actually put four anchor screws into it. The single screw that screws in the middle can hold it down, but I didn’t trust it but there is four holes that you can secure the mount down.

    How about rusting?

    • @christoffchefful
      @christoffchefful  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has been on my boat for over a year. There’s a little bit of surface rust on two pins for the pivot arm but nowhere else for me that nothing to be worried about it’s I don’t even cover my boat.when it rains I only have a cover on my center consul and a cover just just big enough for the monitor This gets wet all the time.

    I just bought a mount like that. However it won’t fold down. It springs up even after I tried to adjust it. Did you have this problem with yours?

    • @christoffchefful
      @christoffchefful  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes my mount does spring up by itself. I got a Velcro strap to keep it down when I’m driving the boat

      @@christoffchefful yeah it’s like it needs more weight but I think it would take like 30 lbs just to pull it back down. I may try to find one that supports less weight.

    No good. I have the exact same mount I tried. I was out in Bitter Lake SD in white caps and my unit fell off in the front.. luckily the power adapter and ducer cable held the unit. The design isn’t made to withstand impact of big waves. Do not try this if you fish windy conditions.

      I’ve had enough for a year has given me any problems. I don’t let it stay up I lay it down working perfectly fine for me sad to hear that happen to you maybe you had the monitor mounted too high and didn’t lower it went flying through the water

    • @C_H_U_
      @C_H_U_ หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@christoffchefful I had it stowed in the front. The mount just isnt made to handle multiple rough waves. I’ll probably try and mcguyver something up soon here now that i got another trip to ND.
