    Thank you sir for posting this. I made one as well modified for my needs plus made a live scope pole given those are also overpriced and was trying to find a option better than pvc diys. Much appreciated!!

    Excellent design, the few that I’ve found online range from $150-$500 I’m definitely gonna replicate yours thanks for sharing

      The problem with the lower cost ones is that they will be of poor quality. This design is solid for a minimal cost. Thanks !!!

    Nice quality. Best one I've seen so far!

    Thanks for information. Awesome design. I modified the base with a Aluminum Slip-on Fitting
    Round Adjustable-Angle Flange Rail End for 1-5/8" Rail OD. Hopefully this won't give me too much trouble to fold it down for boat storage.

    Very cool. I think thats about what im gonna do.

  • @seancowley3193
    @seancowley3193 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's really cool. If there was a way to put a smaller diameter aluminum pipe in the top half where it could slide up and down that would be great.

    • @kevinbucner2739
      @kevinbucner2739  ปีที่แล้ว

      what are you trying to do exactly? so I can figure it out .Do you want to be able to extend it by having another pipe inside the base one? then the fittings will have to change to work for the smaller diameter pipe.

    • @seancowley3193
      @seancowley3193 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevinbucner2739 Not necessarily extend but adjust. It would be cool to be able to adjust the overall height rather than, or in addition to removing it. What I'm thinking, the only fitting different would be the top piece where the mount goes. Definitely a cool idea.

    • @kevinbucner2739
      @kevinbucner2739  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be able to do that you have to step down to 1 1/4" pipe for base and 1" for a top piece. The 1 1/4 has an 1.049 ID and the 1" pipe has 1" OD so it will fit inside the 1 1/4 pipe. Then you need the fittings for the 1 1/4 for base and sliding mount and a 1" fitting for top mount.
      Here are the fittings part nr's :
      1" pipe : 4699T27
      1 1/4" pipe : 4699T28
      1 1/4" flange base mount no holes : 4698T53
      1 1/4" Flange base mount 3 holes 1/4" dia : 4698T26
      1" fitting top mount : 4698T1
      Off set connector to slide on 1 1/4" pipe : 4698T72
      U can drill a hole in the 1 1/4" pipe and thread 3/8-16 and use a thumb screw to hold the 1" pipe inside the 1 1/4 pipe at the height you want.

    Nice job looks professional. Question , where did get the plastic material that you cut? Is this delrin or something like that? I like that you can adjust heights and swivels. Great idea!!!!!

      Have fun. It will last you a lifetime. I also installed another bottom piece in the back of the boat so now I can move it from front to back. I installed 12v outlets at the front and back of the boat and the livescope mounts on my side rails.

    Great idea and great video. How do you run the cables?

    • @kevinbucner2739
      @kevinbucner2739  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 12v outlets front and back of the boat and same with bottom piece of the graph mount. I can move front to back very easy, I also have double SI sensors wired front and back of the boat. Livescope I can move it anywhere on the rails I have.

    very nice but i dont think it will work for the bass boat guys of we run in rough water or even calm at 70?

    • @kevinbucner2739
      @kevinbucner2739  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you run in rough waters, I run in lake Michigan with 2-3 ft anytime and no problems whatsoever. I have the base mounted with bolt and nut tru the deck , fender washers under the deck, solid.

    How do u remove it when ur driving u boat? Like fold it down or anything?

    • @kevinbucner2739
      @kevinbucner2739  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't have to remove it, it is solid as a rock, you can drive 40mph with no problems. But if you want to remove it just slide the pin out and pull it out and lay it on the deck.

      @@kevinbucner2739 can u do an updated video of it mounted onto the boat?
