GREAT VIDEO! In my opinion this is the best one I've seen, personally speaking. This video was like someone reading the instructions and the fine print to you. KEEP 'EM COMING!😢
So thankful Dapper Dude! We're a house full of old women without a lot of money for things like this. I was able to reprogram the garage door when my sister broke it 😁
much appreciated. I will look into it. As i mentioned somewhere on my channel in one or a few of my videos….I am by no means a Mr. Know it all so I am totally always open for suggestions and tips from others out there to help me become better at what I do. Someone else out there always has a cool trick or two up their sleeves. Thanks! 👍
You have to look for a garage door vendor near you. Or you can try to look up and contact I believe its Service Spring Co. If you don’t have a local garage door supplier that would be the route to go
yeah for sure. i offered the older lady living there a really cheap rebuild kit etc…. but she said she is on a fixed income that’s why she ordered the belt in the first place. I offered her a new motor and she declined. I left a card and sticker. sometimes all you can do
I have an Odyssey 1000 and the belt drive bullet assembly broke. A little cheap plastic piece. Is there a metal one that i can replace it with that would be more durable? The one in your video looked way sturdier.
Then you would need to remove the cotter pin out of the end of the motor rail and that will allow the motor/opener rail to come down by hand then you can take the pulley off
This is old but for anyone else struggling, I threaded my belt through from the flat backed metal end where you have to install the long screw and nut. I threaded it before doing all that. The metal piece just fits through. Then while the belt was loose on the ground I attached the clip, screw, spring/clip, and nut etc. Just make sure you thread it in the right direction that it’ll be pulled.
Question for you. Do you think the heat we've been experiencing could make the tension springs a quarter turn weaker? I had no problem until this heat and the tension cables came off the drums. Im just down the road from you in Corpus Christi. We've had triple digits temperatures for several days. Thanks for the great videos.
I wouldn’t think so honestly. There is a lot of gap created in the springs once they coil and uncoil during the open or close cycle, so there is too much gap all through the coils that can give before the spring itself. Besides, the spring is bolted down on one end and tightened with set screws on the other. However, on the flip side those set screws can slip a little. But overall cables coming off usually is a sign of a little TLC needed on your door. Thanks for the engagement sir!
Hey brother do you have videos of other brands of garage opener, I have seen a few on your channel but they have been with chamberlain. Thank you mate keep doing what you do and it's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Your good man!
Man honestly….haven’t used them much. I like my Milwaukee tools but seriously, co-worker of mine had dewalt on a job we paired up on and his impact driver outperformed mine my a good shot! So im thinking of that crossover
@@fields1336 its not hard at all to start ur own. Believe me. Its just a leap of faith. Nice content, it made me want to start doing this. Btw I do metal fabrication., such as doors, rails, window protection. Etc. I’m located in Tijuana, bc. There’s no such thing as trade school for this so I was wondering if it’s easy to learn by watching these videos and starting to offer this service? What would you recommend to get clients if you’re barely starting? Thanks for your feedback.
Sorry for my delay. This is not hard at all to learn. There are some things you will come to learn and advance on through experience in the field. But man once you do learn it, the money you make due to your knowledge and expertise vs other insane manual labor jobs, this is very rewarding and actually fun as well. When I take a broken mess a customer has, believing they need a new door etc, I like the challenge of doing great work and saving the door. When I see the customers disbelief and impressed reaction….it is truly rewarding
I would recommend yelp to start out. Yelps platform is amazing and the great thing is, is they don’t charge any money up front. So you can set up your profile and get jobs coming in before paying them your first months bill. Its crazy awesome and Yelp will 100% bring you jobs
Thank you for the response and advice. I appreciate it. Like I said love your content and it’s something I’m definitely going to get into. All the best!

Now have to find one with the screwdriver setting for the up and down. Great video on the belt change

Thanks for this tutorial. You answered the questions I had about tightening the belt. Not taking everything down rapidly decreases the install time!
@@MrTerryRay1 glad it could help you. Thank you for engaging.
Great video. I have a different brand (Marantec) so a lot was different, but the concepts are the same. Great job.
Thanks man! I’m ready now to do mine today! Gave me the confidence I needed to get it done!!

Helpful video! Good job man 👍
Do you have vedio of other brand garage opener guardian 615.

You should get a right angle adapter for your drill. It would save you the trouble of removing the mounting bracket. They run about $20

I’ll look into that Laura. I believe those brands have their own belts. Other parts are obsolete unless you can find a specific parts dealer
The belt seems to be okay. It was just the plastic piece that broke.
Can you explain what to do if there’s no room to remove pulley and nut because it’s too close to the ceiling please?😫
