I always liked the interior on these as well as the Silverado LTZ/Sierra SLT. In fact, I think I'd rather have one of these than the newer generations.

I get 14.5mpg combined in my V6 Grand Cherokee which is much smaller in size and engine displacement. Considering your vehicle is much heavier and has a V8, that is really good fuel economy.

Mark Evan I drove a Suburban as my first car, and I still have it to this day - got it new in 05’, and it’s now 18’. To this day I still get annoyed when people call it a soccer mom car. I don’t care if it is driven by soccer moms, which I know it is, but the main purpose of this car is towing, capabilities and interior cargo. Soccer moms buy these just for he amount of seats and the power. It’s a typical Camry driver’s perspective that the Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon/Expedition are only for soccer moms, because you probably don’t need power to tow anything. The Tahoe and Suburban are built on the Silverado frame. Meaning it’s incredibly capable. People in pickup trucks have the same capabilities because it’s literally a truck with a cap and a few extra things in the back. Do you make fun of a pick up truck driver? No. Because you know that he can out run you, will tow you out of the snow in the winter, and can plow into you if you brake check him and kill you. Many guys drive these. For example I have one because I live in Alaska and I tow boats and crap down to Wasilla or the Peninsula. Been 500k miles. Also these things last forever. Another big selling feature. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t comment. I know this seems dramatic, but I got shit in High School for it because the kids got hauled to soccer and hockey in it, and I’m tired of hearing this from people. I mean when I went to college farther north than I already was in, (Anchorage to Fairbanks), I started to love the car even more. A huge selling feature is that this car will make it through any snowbank. It’s why I got it brand new (2005 Chevy Suburban LT 4X4, 60k car back in 05, about 80k today). These cars can do so much more than a typical car, a Camry can’t do half this crap, a crossover comes close but fails to compare. A wagon offers come of the same capabilities, but no. In fact back in the early 2ks and late 90s, these things were everywhere. They were king of the road for a reason.

I consider these trucks, but with an enclosed bed and third row. Truck frame, truck engine, truck transmission, truck dynamics, it’s basically a Silverado wearing an SUV mask.

I'm looking into my first car. I really love this generation Tahoe . Especially yours . I want the LTZ and the Diamond White w/ black leather . Basically just like yours. How much did you buy your's for ? Thanks

Anthony Gonzalez Yeah I like the Escalade, but I hear they are mechanical nightmares compared to the Tahoe’s, and I wouldn’t have the money to fix that lol. I work in the women’s shoe department in Nordstrom (I’m a dude thought haha) and have save up for almost an identical one to his. Good luck! I recommend the Tahoe LTZ as they aren’t such mechanical nightmares like the Escalades are, but with a nice amount of features :)

The engine's variable displacement is the culprit to blame for the gutless acceleration. Delete that nonsense and enjoy pure v8 power all the time. Much the same with the dodge hemis with the mds system. You just replace the solenoids that cancel certain cylinders with non functioning plugs and you will have constant v8 bootstrap bliss. Also, put a cherry bomb or Flowmaster on it with a cam job. And maybe if you want to go further, delete the cat and put a turbo on it. There's a guy on TH-cam that shows what kind of instant power and torque with simply adding a turbo, and a cam alone on a 5.3

77_k20_4x4 It’s easily affordable for someone his age if he has a decent full time job. Especially pre-owned. So shut the fuck up.
