Sanqua's painting dialogue will be triggered after you beat the game. Also, her painting likely ended up in the church in Hearthome City. Inside that church, there's a painting that resembles the space-time rift, while outside the Church there's something that resembles more about Arceus than other deities in the game.
This makes sense considering that the church doesn't have an official name, but is simply called "Foreign Building". Another one of Sanqua's dialogues talks about how the Construction Corps is preparing to build new villages elsewhere in Hisui, and the map description of the building describes it as a "place where different cultures meet", which is basically what Jubilife Village and the game in general are all about.
The Magikarp and Gyarados reference is also seen in Obsidian Feildlands. Remember the flying Gyarados that appear there? That's right on top of the waterfall and down the waterfall, there's a bunch of Magikarps. This Chinese reference also states that dragons can fly, that is the reason the Gyarodos over there is flying in the air.
There was a detail that came across an event during the game that idk how it was activated it just happened in the night but Kamado and Cylenne talked to the mc about how the name of the galaxy team will eventually be forgotten but Cylenne says she will tell all her ancestors to pass down the name of the galaxy team which makes sense as to why Cyrus names his team, “Team Galatic”
"The Galaxy team" and "Team Galactic" actually have the same name in Japanese, so it's practically the same organization. I have no idea why the English translation changed it.
The Sanqua picture could be that...but I personally think it's the picture depicted in the church in hearthome City where it's over Mount Coronet and there's a strong bright light at the peak. I think that's what it's going for personally...
I was just about to write this comment and found yours immediately. Lol, I definitely was thinking the painting she created ended up being the painting in the Hearthome Church too.
So, for Sanqua's painting of the space-time rift, i didn't even think of the opening picture from the news broadcast. My first instinct was the painting/mural within the church in hearthome city(i think it was in hearthome). As it also depicts a mountain with energy at the top of it. I was drawn to that conclusion because another NPC mentioned how they were curious what people of the future would think of the painting.
That Magikarp one works as well in the obsidian fieldlands with the one flying Gyarados because there's a waterfall above there and it flies in the waterfalls area but there's also Magikarp that litter the river below so that works as well
12:20 That it doesn't say "moving less" but rather that they don't move at all, suggested to me that this was simply a veiled reference to dead Parasect whose mushrooms had decayed before the body did. Course I could be wrong.
Dead? In a sense, yes. Decayed? You'd have to be pretty stupid to mistake a decaying creature that normally has a fungus on it for a normal one without the fungus. It says they lie unmoving, suggesting the fungus is what controls it entirely. I'm thinking these specimens would more be ones where someone cut off the mushroom, or perhaps a predator ate it off, or something more along those lines. Interestingly it also mentions in Paras' dex entry that they are born without the fungus and it comes in and grows as it matures.
@@Jayghopkins the fact that they "lie unmoving" to me feels like a very, very bad idea for a Pokemon. They're probably meant to be specimens that lost their mushrooms and died. The Paras entry, however, states they are born without the fungus. That might be a hint at a regional variant, with a regional variant of Paras evolving into something new, not a regional variant of Parasect that discarded the mushroom and stopped moving...
@@Kahadi I think it may either be pointing to a new regional form for parasect or just pointing out that mushroomless parasect exist out there because I think that pokemon researchers would be able to tell if one is just lying in rest or ambush or if they're dead or dying
That totally lines up with its origin. The origin of this pokemon is a kind of fungus used in Chinese medicine. This fungus basically is an insect parasite that will grow on the bug and eventually kill it. The reason the bug part of Parasect's eyes is empty is that the bug is practically dead, only being controlled by the mushroom on its back. Yes, this gen one pokemon is basically a zombie, and it was intentionally designed this way from the very start. The name "Parasect" actually comes from parasite and insect.
I mean they might not be dead. They just lie unmoving. Obviously that would quickly lead to death, by starvation if not predation, but they might not be dead right away, with the specimens he observed still being alive when he wrote the entry.
Honestly, I thought I went crazy when hearing the music change for the first time " Is this different. Or am I just losing it? " I thought it was a cute touch that the village " Evolves " as you do.
My theory on the painting Sanqua made is that it’s actually the big mural you see in Hearthome City’s church. It depicts Mountj Coronet with a bright crack in the sky at its peak, which could be the space-time rift.
I’m not sure if anyone’s mentioned this Easter egg but I felt this one was an amazing one. If you head into the Photo booth studio and prepare yourself to shoot a photo with your facial expressions and poses. There is a pose called the “Hero pose.” When you select it, your character stands EXACTLY as the Team Galactic grunts in the modern Sinnoh games stand when they challenge you to a battle. Given how much the hero of old impacted the people of Hisui/Sinnoh it’s interesting that Team Galactic adopts the pose of the hero, almost as if they believe their cause is righteous. This also makes a lot of sense because upon talking to Saturn after Cyrus’s defeat at Galactic HQ, he mentions that him along with many members of Galactic never knew what Cyrus was truly planning or they believed their goal was truly for a good cause only to find out it was a cover for Cyrus’ true goal. This little Easter egg stands as one of my favorites just for the implications and it baffles me how not many have noticed it.
Just like's Sanqua's dialogue, Cylenne and Kamado actually has a secret dialogue of their own (I think you need to talk to Cylenne at nighttime after you finish the Daybreak quest). It's about how the Galaxy Team got their name and it mentions Cylenne saying she'll pass down the name to her descendants hinting to the birth of Team Galactic. (Also after you finish the dialogue< Kamado gives you a stardust)
I'm pretty positive I know what the painting is, and it's not the shot from the start of BDSP. In the church in Jubilife City in both DPPt and BDSP, there's a giant mural depicting Mt. Coronet with the wormhole above it as a giant flash of light. I think this is almost definitely what she was referring to.
Hey Hoops, did you noticed that the reward of that Pachirisu sidequest is a sitrus berry and that's the item Sejun's Pachirisu has in the competition this is also a nice reference to Sejun's Pachirisu
I think he might be mistaken about there being some other form of Parasect. The dex only says specimens without mushrooms just lie there without moving. It doesn't say that they move less, it implies that they don't move AT ALL, apparently even when some random humans roll up on them, if the mushroom isn't there to control them. It also doesn't specify that they were naturally born without the mushroom. I think what Laventon is saying in this entry is that, based on everything he's seen and heard, Parasect that somehow lose their mushroom just end up as lifeless husks, either being in a vegetative state or outright dying. After all, we already know that when Paras evolves, that's actually the fungus taking over its body and robbing it of whatever was left of its free will by that point, cordyceps-style, so what else would happen when you remove what has effectively become the pokemon's brain?
Here's one for you: You can find wanted posters for Charm, Clover, and Coin in the Survey Corps office, and Charm's is far more flattering than the other two.
"Tao Hua has a granddaughter who married with Charon's ancestor. Either way, since everyone seems to have a descendent, Tao Hua must have too, but I can't figure out who... But that must mean that Charon is related to someone crazy!!" Bruh...
On the Parasect thing, its 1996 Pokédex entry mentions this as well. More explicitly, it says that the "bug" is dead. This is the first time official media has referenced this in English, but not the first time in Japanese.
There’s many references to pokemon not in the hisui dex in PLA besides cubchoo. I know Copperajah is in Raichu’s pokedex, Regirock/Ice/Steel all relate to Gigas’ door, Ingo talks about Chandelure, and there’s even a Galarain Weezing outside of the Galaxy team headquarters
Regis, Chandelure and Galarian Weezing isn't mentioned by name and Copperajah is most likely a hint to Professor Laventon being from Galar. The Cubchoo one is therefore kind of noteworthy.
I think you missed a very important detail about Tao Hua when talking about who his descendant might be. Since he is the grandfather of Yui who married Choy who is the ancestor to Charon, meaning Yui might also be the ancestor to Charon, that means Tau Hua too is the ancestor to Charon since Yui is his granddaugther.

@6:47 this happened to me & I was pleasantly surprised. There is another event similar to this post game (at night after daybreak update) with Cylline & Kamado. Kamado will tell the story of Galaxy team origin story & Cylline will say something very interesting to reference her descendant
Well when paras evolves the bug dies in the mushroom takes it over, so without the mushroom the parasect is just a lifeless corpse. Personally I would love a regional variant where the mushroom dies instead of the bug.
Actually the Chinese tale with the magikarp takes place in obsidian fieldlands where you can then see a gyarados flying through the air atop the waterfall.
I didn't realize the gyradose you mentioned, but the same deal can be found in the highland fields at the water fall. At the bottom you find magikarp and above it flying around is a gyradose
I can only think of Tao Hua being the ancestor of one of the grass type trainers from the present because of his position as captain of the supply corp. Also his hair reminds me of Burgh if his hair was cut by the ears and we have the name Tao Hua that means "peach blossom" in chinese for what i could find, this can lead us to think that maybe his descendant is a grass type trainer or someone with pink or/and wavy hair.
I've also found that in every language present in the game his name is Tao Hua or related to it (in french it's called nectarin that happens to be a variety of peach).
11:52 Uh... You might want to read the dex entry again, because it strongly implies that the Parasect without a mushroom are dead, which would just confirm what we already knew, that the host is a lifeless shell being controlled by the mushroom
Id like to kinda argue your point on the parasect, as it pretty much proves everything we know. It says that those found without a mushroom are unmoving. Not that they don't move much, but that they do not move at all. Meaning that the mushroom once gone, either eaten by something or plucked (since we know that it can be harvested by the mushroom related quests) the Pokemon is basically a husk at that point. Unable to move because they are a living organism without a brain. It doesn't really change anything, it just means that the mushroom can be removed, but ultimately there are no parasect that can do any actual surviving or moving without the mushroom. Meaning that they don't exist without it's evolutionary trait of taking over the host.
Wow this was a very good video I love videos like this keep up the good work I might just listen to your Pokemon remix to because they're really good and with that have a good day
There are so many references to Black and White it makes me wonder if Game Freak is foreshadowing things like they usually do. Black and White would technically be next in line for remakes so who knows!
It's called 'Battle Revolution', and a big feature of 'Legends: Arceus' is the variety of changes they made to the standard battle formula. New status conditions, no multi-target or AoE attacks, Agile/Strong styles, weather conditions... I've probably forgotten a few more. I'd call all that *revolutionary* for sure.
this may be kind of a reach but i'd guess that Tao Hua is meant to be Master Mustard from the isle of armor dlc's ancestor, they have similar face shape, and are both kind of chinese coded/themed (plus they both wear green, which normally i'd say is a stretch but as we know in anime fashion sense is also hereditary for some reason)
I havent seen any youtuber mention this one. Or maybe i missed it. But pokemon with swords, or whatever. Like Cleavur. Can chop down wood logs from trees. I know ive seen people complain that sometimes its hard to look for wood, but there you go. Just throw a cleavur onto a tree as if to pick up an item and will chop some wood for you.
Idea: Pokémon Legends Ho-Oh and Lugia or Suicune. Just a Legends series for that gen. I think that would be a beautiful video game. I did enjoy the story and art in here.
the flying gyarados in the obsidian fieldlands can also be found next to a waterfall, I think that's the more obvious reference since it's literally flying around like the dragon in the myth
Simply put, as Yui is Tao Hua's grandaughter, then Charon, being part of the bloodline makes Tao Hua his ancestor as well. Maybe the Opal thing has merit, but it doesn't necessarily have to if Tao Hua is related to Charon as well
Tao hua i thought was burgh's ancestor. They have similar hair, just one is aged and swept back, but also his glasses have a very distinct bug pattern. Opals ancestor has to be Palina, they are both modelesque and similar features as show from opals young version art, along with her head wrap being the same colors as opals gym attire. the knot also make fairy wings.
Pretty sure all the Unova stuff in this game is just there for a "hint"/reminder that Black/White remakes are up next after Scarlet/Violet. I don't see it going further than that, to be honest
If the painting on the TV is from the pla character then it explains lore from the original diamond and pearl as the image appears in the originals as well.
My theory is that during the time of Legends Arceus non-parasite paras/parasect exist but they were wiped out before the events of the modern Pokémon games
I can thank Braviary for the Chansey/Blissey Easter egg. Everytime I seen a chansey or blissey while gliding and getting my dex on I would always drop mid-air and Chansey would hold still, because of damage. I appreciated the efforts the devs did after wasting 20 or so pokeballs on hence said chansey or blissey. :)
I like to think that some of these secrets may pop up in Scarlet and Violet. Like maybe Tao Hua's descendent is in that game, or maybe we will get the variant of Paras and Parasect without mushrooms.
With Chansey and Blissey, I think they also heal you. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like I get healed quicker when one of them approaches me. I tested it by calling Braviary, and then hopping off it when it stops going up.

I didn't realize the gyradose you mentioned, but the same deal can be found in the highland fields at the water fall. At the bottom you find magikarp and above it flying around is a gyradose
The one secret in this video that I found out before was the Jubilife theme! That was pretty cool 💯
The Blissey/Chansey one blows my mind!
Omg I thought I was crazy when I heard the Jublife theme in full lol such a cool detail!
Tao Hua is Charon’s ancestor as his granddaughter is married to Charon’s other ancestor.
Another great Easter egg video!
You need to do a “Learning Pokémon Pronunciations” video 😭 ‘Suddo Wuddo’ 😂😂😂
I can only think of Tao Hua being the ancestor of one of the grass type trainers from the present because of his position as captain of the supply corp.
Also his hair reminds me of Burgh if his hair was cut by the ears and we have the name Tao Hua that means "peach blossom" in chinese for what i could find, this can lead us to think that maybe his descendant is a grass type trainer or someone with pink or/and wavy hair.
I've also found that in every language present in the game his name is Tao Hua or related to it (in french it's called nectarin that happens to be a variety of peach).
Opal and tao hua? I don’t see it
Wow this was a very good video I love videos like this keep up the good work I might just listen to your Pokemon remix to because they're really good and with that have a good day
The painting that sanqua has done is the one in hearthome cathedral just to clear up that I’m sure others have already
There are so many references to Black and White it makes me wonder if Game Freak is foreshadowing things like they usually do. Black and White would technically be next in line for remakes so who knows!
A third game is gray
I didn’t know Magicarp transforming into Gyrados was based off of an ancient Chinese proverb. So freaking cool!
12:00 thats awsome i hope we get a form thats like that eventually
Patchy Rizu
I beliew that Tao Hua’s descendant is Mustard from Sw/Sh Dlc
this may be kind of a reach but i'd guess that Tao Hua is meant to be Master Mustard from the isle of armor dlc's ancestor, they have similar face shape, and are both kind of chinese coded/themed (plus they both wear green, which normally i'd say is a stretch but as we know in anime fashion sense is also hereditary for some reason)
Sanqua painting could be areference to the painting inside the church that was added in bdsp
I personally think Tao Hua is an ancestor of Maylene.
5:56 no is too el the mention of copperaja in raichu’s entry as there’s no cooperajas in this game
normal blissey: you ok
alpha blissey: are you injured...no...LeTs FiX tHaT
The painting Sanqua is talking about is more than likely to be that mural in the Hearthrome city "church".
I havent seen any youtuber mention this one. Or maybe i missed it. But pokemon with swords, or whatever. Like Cleavur. Can chop down wood logs from trees. I know ive seen people complain that sometimes its hard to look for wood, but there you go. Just throw a cleavur onto a tree as if to pick up an item and will chop some wood for you.
amazing video. keep up the great work
Idea: Pokémon Legends Ho-Oh and Lugia or Suicune. Just a Legends series for that gen. I think that would be a beautiful video game. I did enjoy the story and art in here.
This game is incredible.
the flying gyarados in the obsidian fieldlands can also be found next to a waterfall, I think that's the more obvious reference since it's literally flying around like the dragon in the myth
I am not sure if Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will beat this game.
Simply put, as Yui is Tao Hua's grandaughter, then Charon, being part of the bloodline makes Tao Hua his ancestor as well. Maybe the Opal thing has merit, but it doesn't necessarily have to if Tao Hua is related to Charon as well
the dragon one is super fucking cool, I love details like that so much
5:48 I mean, Let's Go Eevee literally has clothes based on and named after all 8 Eeveelutions, not just the ones in the game.
i was always annoyed at how the red gyarados news had nothing to do with that image, so im glad for this detail
The painting I always thought was the one in the church in hearthome
Tao hua i thought was burgh's ancestor. They have similar hair, just one is aged and swept back, but also his glasses have a very distinct bug pattern.
Opals ancestor has to be Palina, they are both modelesque and similar features as show from opals young version art, along with her head wrap being the same colors as opals gym attire. the knot also make fairy wings.
I thought Beni was Cilan's ancestor before the fight in the Stone Portal.
I wonder if how everybody would react if the Pokemon Battle Revolution reference would lead to a remake of the game?
Pretty sure all the Unova stuff in this game is just there for a "hint"/reminder that Black/White remakes are up next after Scarlet/Violet. I don't see it going further than that, to be honest
Or its not a hint for anything and is just an Easter Egg. After all, lots of regions are mentioned several times in the game...
“Sudo-wudo”
I thought the parasect entry actually meant that people cut the mushrooms off of parasect to eat, therefore uhhh… De-braining them
"SIMPSONS DID IT". 17 Mins ago, but this is all old news that others have already done vids on 1+ months ago.
Paras and Parasect are so angry because they were neglected for 8 generations
the painting that sanqua made was windows xp wallpaper, true story
Hajaja just looked at the comments of the first video and made a new one vid.... i respect it. Im here for it
If the painting on the TV is from the pla character then it explains lore from the original diamond and pearl as the image appears in the originals as well.
I love Pokémon Battle Revolution amazing game
My theory is that during the time of Legends Arceus non-parasite paras/parasect exist but they were wiped out before the events of the modern Pokémon games
There is also an episode in the anime where Magikarp are said to evolve upon climbing a waterfall great attention to detail gamefreak
In legend of Arceus there's gonna be loads of secrets
I can thank Braviary for the Chansey/Blissey Easter egg. Everytime I seen a chansey or blissey while gliding and getting my dex on I would always drop mid-air and Chansey would hold still, because of damage. I appreciated the efforts the devs did after wasting 20 or so pokeballs on hence said chansey or blissey. :)
also it seems if you wear warm gear in the ice lands you'll stop shivering just a small fun thing
The lady that sells the clothes in Jubilife village has a slight resemblance to Jessy from team rocket
12:30 the non mushroom parrasect and parras are crustle and dwebble
If Pokémon arceus did a DLC with other regions and Pokémon to catch it would of been a money maker
Tao Hua made me think first of Ramos (Kalos Grass Gym Leader) probably just because he's wearing green.
But now I see the Opal resemblance.
The flower mark at the end looks like a pokeball
