Wikstrom is from Kalos (Based on France) and Komodo is from Galar (Based on Britain). Both real world countries are next to eachother and would naturally have similar styles of armor as trade and immigration would create similar styles in fashion...

Another neat detail I noticed regarding the bastiodon and rampardos fossils is how the rampardos skull is actually cracked while the bastiodon skull is completely fine. Since part of their origins is the spear that can pierce anything and the unbreakable shield and how the result is how the shield actually wins, the state of their skulls reflects that.
That’s a great suggestion you thought of but the bastiodon actually is cracked in various areas all around it if you really look and both of them being there further proves this because it shows a tie and both died or began to fossilize that day
@@4brianXtowns4 I should have been more specific when I said "cracked". Yes, both skulls have little cracks. However, those ones are just an occurrence of them being fossils since most fossils don't come out perfectly smooth.
I should have been more specific in saying the Rampardos skull has a chunk of its skull gone, specifically the tip of its skull where it attacks. Meanwhile, the Bastiodon skull doesn't have any parts broken off, missing, or abnormally indented. And I don't think the broken chunk of Rampardos skull is just a result of being a fossil because it feels like way too specific of a place to be a broken chunk of the skull AND be the only broken chunk from either fossil. If it was meant to just be a part of fossilizing OR that it'sa tie between the two, then both fossils would have a chunk missing somewhere.
@@theshadowdraguin7177 I respect where you coming from but if you look at the nose area on bastiodon it’ll make more sense as to why I feel it’s more a tie than anything the impact cracked both of there skulls they are even laying in a tie format they both made impact went past each other then both collapsed when see this in a lot of anime fights where they are evenly match and both fall opposed to the maritime vs sasuke first battle at the waterfall with the statues sasuke stood over naruto and kept it moving but their last battle naruto and sasuke both just laid there

Something you didn't mention about Beni and Wally: when he says "agreeable climate", I think those words specifically also reference how Wally has to move to a more "agreeable climate" due to his health condition. Otherwise, why use those specific words in particular?

The wooden croagunk statue is also an Easter egg reference to the one in Hops room in Sw/Sh and if Laventon is theor ancestor, it could be the very same one made by Buck and left with Laventon who passed it through the family
In regards to the last point, its been theorized that jubilife village is actually canalave and not jubilife city. The map of sinnoh and hisui point to this being true
Its possible then that Jubilife just grew towards the east and left Canala Av. to become Canalave city, with the Galaxy HQ becoming the library. Plus in Sinnoh, Canalave and Jubilife are separated by a VERY short route.
Jubilife definitely doesn't have a canal in it so I feel like this holds up.
Jubilife village has a river running through it and is next to the ocean, just like Canalave.
isn't that just obvious not a theory? like cities and countries change all the time (relatively speaking to how long they've existed)... not really a big plot twist revelation like the borders of the united states changed so many times throughout its colonization, korea's borders used to extend way into modern day china way before they were even they became north and south korea, the middle east and western asia got split into a bunch of countries by the US there's, the USSR splitting apart and even afterwards borders still changed and countries split further in eastern europe, there's all the roman, grecian, and ottoman empires taking over... borders change all the time and capitols within countries move even more often

Another interesting tidbit about the Teddiursa card is that the Illustrator is Kodama which, when rearranged, is Kamado like the leader of the Galaxy Expedition Team.

That is totally a coincidence. Kamado's name obviously came from Rowan's Japanese name, which is "Nanakamado". Also this rearrangement will not work in Japanese, which spoilers alert, this card also exists a Japanese version.
Charm’s Pokémon are also a reference to her being from Kanto.
Charms also mentioned she came from the Kanto region.
My biggest pipe dream for Legends Arceus is that in DLC we are able to build towns, kinda like in fallout 4. And maybe build the contest hall, or help Pasela to make the first Pokémon Centet

I'm glad you mentioned the reference of Floaro and Canala. This was actually an intended translation because these two people have the names same of the very two towns in Japanese (Which if you don't know, the town names are very different between Japanese and English). I played in neither Japanese nor English so I didn't find this reference in my game.
Also it is mentioned that they are expanding base camps into new villages, so the location of the base camps are actually representing future cities and towns.

If I had to guess, the first camp in the Crimson Mirelands becomes Hearthome City because it's close to the Solaceon Ruins, close to the marshland but also not directly on top of either of them.
Btw, there's also Canala Bridge in Jubilife Village and the Floaro Gardens in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Sanqua also paints a painting to remember the rift per a one time conversation with her. She then entrusts it to the construction commander who puts it in the canalav library in bdsp on the first floor.

I think something to note here is how similar this games story is to the second pokemon mystery dungeon game Explorers of Sky. I mean in both games you're an amnesiac from the future who wakes up on a beach.

@@ladystormdance3051 I'm not really talking about the Isakai part of the plot but your whole character in general. Just the fact that in two gen four pokemon games you play as a human from the future with amnesia who wakes up on a beach for the purpose of saving the world (there are other details but I don't want to go over them). Even if it is partially due to the genre it's still a massive coincidence and worth discussing how much was intentional especially since ORAS also (whether intentional or not) referenced the gen 3 mystery dungeon game with the delta episode.

I also believe that the fact Coin is female ancestor of Saturn is a subtle nod to how sometimes utside the games he was considered female.

This game is so special yes it has some issues but it's such a special game for the franchise I hope we get a Johto Hoenn or Kalos one at some point
I really hope the next legends game we get is based on gen 5 and we can find out more about the original dragon and actually see what it looked like.

A lot of regions are mentioned or referenced in someway. One of the NPC in Jubilife Village mentions people in Kanto catch and train pokemon in a similar manner to you.
Except unlike Laventon, Kamado doesn't speak in a british accent when his accent starts to show
it sounds more like kansai-ben, or in the pokemon world's case, Johtonian.
Which leads to my theory that Kamado is just an inverse weeb. XD

4:21 Actually, Ramanas Park is where the Great Tree is in PLA. You can see Ramanas Island on all maps there have ever been of the Sinnoh Region, but it's never been accessable before PLA.
13:13 Not really in the latter case, as Jubilife Village IS Canalave City. The actual Jubilife City isn't built until after Oreburgh City, and would be located in the area you find Ponyta and the Alpha Rapidash in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Great video Hoops as usual! That wooden Croagunk statue also makes me wonder if it could hypothetically connect to the wooden croagunk statue we see in Hop's bedroom in Sword and Shield. Possibly showing a Sinnoh connection to Hop.
For what I understand, in the Japanese version, the professor loves to drop English words into his dialogue, which would imply he's from a region based on an English-speaking nation, and Gallar fits that requirement, so he could be an ancestor or distant relative of Hop. There's also the weird obsession with this one food they both have

I just quickly want to point out that there's a more obscure (potential) theory around the paintings in the clan houses that I haven't seen yet. They have the maxie and archie ancestor paintings and the hero painting, and we know maxie and archie to be related to team aqua and team magma, but we learned of the dragon clan that worshiped rayquaza in oras, and not only is the hero (Alder's ancestor) wearing green (or emerald), but Cogita's hut is also a shade of green, potentially hinting at the connection of the Celectica people (who both Cogita and the hero are decedents of) could be ancestors of the dragon clan in oras
Could be Alder himself, the painting has the pokeballs around his neck, and they supposedly weren’t invented yet. The original hero was supposed to have been sent back in time too
In Pokémon Colosseum, items are found in a red & white capsule. Sort of in between the basket and a real poke ball.
I wonder if, considering that Voltorb stores electricity in its body and appears connected to the apricorn historically, if seeing it is what led to the development of Pokeballs from apricorns in the first place 🤔

Cosmic Eclipse also has two other pokémon cards featuring statues of Dialga and Palkia. I suppose they were to allude to the Arceus Dialga & Palkia GX card, since they are legendary pokémon of myth. I dunno about it being a teaser, but the other two statues are also there!

Hey, wanted to add that the croagunk statue, Hop has it in his room. Hop does that arm thingy too. What's up with his relationship to Buck if there is one? I found this intriguing
also another fact about the floaro and canala thing is that floaro street goes it the direction (kinda) of where floaroma town is and the canala bride kinda points towards where canalve city is
Actually, we have both Canala Bridge and Canala Avenue in Jubilife Village. So Jubilife Village most likely expanded east and the Western Part (Inlcuding Eastern side where the pastures are), most likely became Canalave City (If you look at the map, Jubilife Village is on the exact same location as modern Canalave). The Galaxy Team Building most likely became the library. There is also the thing that there isn't a river flowing through modern Jubilife, but there is one in both Jubilife Village and Canalave Town. Sandgem flats most likely becomes Sandgem town (Which means Jubilife needs to be at the North of that and not at the west).
i think it's less that they are teasing legends with teddiursa and more like Gamefreak just thinks out the lore of the games more than what actually gets told to us in the games. Which makes you wonder why they refuse to use this secret world lore in the mainline games. Perhaps because it's pointless to the heroes journey?

To go along with the tcg thing. It goes back further. Breakthrough and Breakpoints story was about a rift that opened between 2 universes, and something made top pokemon turn shining gold... imo the lightning in PLA is what made the BREAK pokemon mechanic. (I kinda think PRIME pokemon were Alpha mon) also, Delta Species were Regional variants, like z-crystals are megastones.
Also, Alolan Totem pokemon are hisuian Alpha pokemon. Really the Wardens and Trial Captains are alot alike. The Tapus are Island deities, like the lake spirits

Within Jubilife Village, there are small subsections. 2 of them are Floaro Main Street and Canala Avenue
If you put the first few Letters of the second words to the first one, you get Floaroma and Canalaave
Other fun fact: In Raichu’s dex entree it mentions Copperajah and that the professor is from galar
It does NOT mention that Laventon is from Galar. It says Copperaja is from his home Region, and we know from Sw/Sh that Copperaja are NOT native to Galar.

I honestly think Legenfs Arceus was getting teased in 2018 when LGPE came out. I recently replayed through both Legends and Lets Go and realized the Cresrion of The Univeres poster in Pewter Mueseum begins with a golden light that looks very similar to how Arceus first appears Legends. Even if it wasnt a teaser, Gamefreak knew what they wanted Arceus to look like when in its none corporeal form.
The wooden croagunk is also found in sword and shield in your rivals room

Considering Wickstrom is supposed to be a french knight, Im not so sure about the connection there, though to be fair I just generally don't like the idea of so many things being retconned into originating from galar, makes it seem like pokemon is trying to give galar credit for what the other games did which I don't appreciate personally because galar has a bad taste in my mouth in general

I realized that pokemon legends arceus was hinted at in the pokemon tv app, a week before the sinnoh remakes and legends arceus was announced, they put one of the sinnoh movies on pokemon tv, but not just any sinnoh movie, they put arceus and the jewel of life on it, I find that interesting

One thing also including Teddiursa hinting towards PLA; In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Teddiursa line is exclusive to Shining Pearl, whilst the Gligar line is exclusive to Brilliant Diamond. This exclusivity was not the case in the original titles of Diamond and Pearl. Why would ILCA do this, if these two Pokemon evolutionary lines do not share that many similarities, not even the typing-- oh wait a minute?

Rampardos and Bastiodon aren't *actually* extinct in Arceus! Their Pokedex entries state that they're "an incredibly rare sight", whereas the entries for Magnemite and Porygon straight-up call them fucking weird and alien to Professor Laventon.
The wording and tone of his entries make it clear that he's heard rumors and stories of the soon-to-be extinct dinos, while the other two distortion-exclusive Pokemon placed out of time have never been seen by anyone. I think Ramp/Bast are just "living fossils" like crocodiles, who only recently went extinct for whatever reason. Still cool that we can see their bones in the wall, though :)
Here's a secret about this game that I didn't know until a few hours ago. According to the West Sea Form's Pokedex entry, Gastrodon is apparently racist.
That basket looks more like the Gen 1 Overworld sprites for items than later gens.

I noticed something I haven't seen anybody mention anywhere yet. There's an exhaust pipe designed to look like Galarian Weezing on the Galaxy Hall building.
Honestly, I think the Tediursa card being a hint might be a bit of a stretch.

I don't care about the game itself, but I seriously hate seeing raid EVERYWHERE. It can be the worlds best game, but these constant ads are still annoying.
Interesting since Canalave City is also known for the huge draw bridge that goes right through the middle of the city river.

The teddiursa card is a bit of a stretch as cosmic eclipse was themed after arceus, dialga, and palkia tag team and its not uncommon for cards to reference the chase cards in their arts as in set easter eggs.
Some say ancestor but in actuality it's a full on different dimension basically think JoJo's Steelball Run arc with it being an alternate universe whose happens to be in a alternate past but familiar sights of things you would see in the current moment of the other timeline.
It's like when they hinted at Majora's mask with ocarina of time 🤔🤔
Some of these "allusions" are pretty much "the floor here is made out of floor"

May I turn your attention to two point one major and one minor.
In jubilife village the woman that gets you to get a geodude for a pickling her wares. The building is called Sevii cafe. It's been a long old time since Sevii was ever mentioned. Always feel it's left out.
And two (and more importantly ) jubilife has the cana river flowing through it. While modern day jubilife does not. In fact. Where it's sat on the map doesn't really match either.
You should check the Pokédex Easter eggs, trust me, there is a specific interesting one
The misfortune sisters also confirm a relation between Saturn, Candice, Bertha, and Agatha. At least a very distant relation
They're not related to each other though. It's confirmed that they're runaways from the Diamond clan, Pearl clan, and Survey corps.

Maybe you needed the Italian version where Wally is called Lino, which is also the translation for linen, and the place is called "The Linen Tablecloth".

My gf was playing Renegade Platinum on the E4 and I told her the next E4 member uses ghost types... Bruh she uses ground types. I got her confused with her Kanto counterpart and this was before we knew of the bandit character
