I like to tell myself I don't have the time and money to play cube myself but the truth is that I just don't have the skill. Hence why I am here every day.
Griseldad + Sheoldred is a wild win-more synergy; I've never seen that before.
Still feel like the big problem with the dredge deck is the fact that so much of the power of the cards in those decks comes from being in multiples, and just isn’t nearly as powerful as one-ofs
Would love to have seen this deck versus the quality of players and decks on the server, but of course this deck would never have been this open against them.

one of the strongest reanimator decks i've seen, all time. apart from emrakul shallow grave or more power, it's hard ro imagine any upgrades to the deck

I was okay with the cadence of cube changes initially, but i think they need to pump the brakes a little bit. the cube feels too different between versions. probably more because I feel a lot of the changes were a miss so maybe it feels more pronounced.
I like that they make big swings, even if they don't always work out
I think with how much the cube is up this list is so much better. Now you can build some interesting decks again, instead of just doing the same thing over and over and over. Also especially this dredge deck is just underrated because people haven't given it a fair shake. Just like the domain stuff, which was very good but LSV kept saying it wasn't. People are also very set in their ways about these things.

Love this unique deck! Blue artifacts is nice but it's nice to see other colors as well!

I've always been impressed with Kaito Shizuki. Especially in decks looking to make Tempo happen until they draw into the end game. His ult is gravy but doesn't even matter more often than not. He's just great with his first two modes regularly.

51:31 you did all these Exhume + Recurring Nightmare shenanigans, I’m not sure why you didn’t just bounce Nightmare to turn the Shadowgrange into Grief to take Fury, then recast and bounce Nightmare to turn the Grief back into Shadowgrange. Exhume seems like it doesn’t do anything useful here. It puts a 3/2 onto your side and puts a card into their hand.

I tried to put a sacrifice gy theme deck in my legacy-ish power level cube, and I stg I stopped at nothing to make it work, I had every single good sac card, Yawgmoth, gombardment, priest of forgotten gods, mayhem devil, blood artist, bloodghast, the 40k throne, hogaak, stitcher supplier, korvold
and it still just sucked ass every time, and was so hard to draft, bc you need sac outlets, fodder, payoffs like blood artist, and then even then if that’s all you have your deck kinda sucks, you need ramp or you’re too slow and interaction too
I finally gave up and replaced all the sac theme with midrangey cards in Brg and had way more success, the decks are also fun to play too if not as synergistic
it’s funny because I’ve had great success with making work other synergy decks that may seem like a stretch in cube, such as enchantress/bogles, Eldrazi, and affinity
although another archetype Ive struggled to get to work is a prowess/spells matter type deck in UR with maybe B or W supplementing
those have a similar problem where you need lots of cheap threats and cards that care about spells, but then you need lots of spells, oh and most of those need to cantrip or your deck just kinda folds to any interaction

never won so many matches by concede once i play nadu and nantuko or my boy bristly bill with lightning greaves that btw nobody ever picks or skullclamp lol
The problem with the gy deck is that you could instead just pay 3 mana for a red creature that deals 12 damage over the course of 2 turns.
In Round 3 G1at 51:20 the opponent could have done a very cool play where they get back Gut with Eternal Witness and then with grief trigger still on the stack evoke fury pitching gut to kill both the voidwalker and the grief
Fury doesn't have Flash.
I knew these changes to the cube were crap, stop trying to make Rootwalla happen, it's not gonna happen!
The resolution on the recordings lately isn't fantastic.
You can set the resolution manually. It defaults to automatic (which changes resolution based on your bandwidth), so perhaps it's a connection problem you're facing. I watch all these in 1080p.
how can you not play bloodghast with recurring nightmare?? that card was made for nightmare!
What if you don't draw recurring nightmare? In general you want strong cards that become better in combination - you don't want bad cards that become good in combination unless they become incredibly powerful, and a 3 mana repeatable reanimate is just not worth it.

Watching LSV play leagues is really frustrating cuz he always gets the softest draft pods and opponents. Last time I had a nuts reanimator deck I got paired into a better reanimator deck (OP had Flash) and 2 players with Endurance decks.

Fetches are amazing. Bazar is a late pick imo since it's a land that doesn't tap for mana but enables you to rummage through your deck fast
Too many cards in this format hose reanimator. Like we really need white and green scoozes, soul guide lantern, relic and damn near every other piece of hate.
i always hear these decks dont work but then the content creators never record a draft using them and never actually face the new decks so it always seems more of they dont work because we'd rather play this vs it just doesnt work altogether
the nut Hogaak deck works on a basic level, but it takes more pieces and cube slots to get a deck that is still mediocre relative to other strategies. It's not that it can't win at all, rather a question of whether the juice is worth the squeeze
@@quarkraven right but unless an attempt is made its all speculation granted by some of top minds in the game but even they get stuff wrong.(not saying they are just that it feels like its not even getting a chance)
yeah you really have to get the nut deck for it to work unfortunately, cuz i really like the archetype.
@@quarkravenyeah, you end up putting more narrow cards in your cube which dilutes it.
The problem is there is nothing that draws you into the deck. It is hard to imagine ending up in the archetype
