As a person who is interested in elevators since I was 2 years old, I have a better solution. This will though need some tools. You just have a key for opening elevator doors (same key as most electric/pneumatic cabinets in Europe) and use it to open the elevator door at the lowest floor, then you got go down to the pit with a flashlight, pick up the thing you dropped, get back up, and close the door. Problem solved ✅
I actually dropped my phone into the elevator shaft the day i was moving out of the building. had to get the elevator contractor out to get the phone as moving company was calling nightmare
U can access it lol go to the elevator to room there also a access panel under it lol or get Ur mate to got to 5 to 10 floor and pull the doors apart and pick it up
