Every year, they are getting closer and closer to the original concept car back when they launched their new lineup (art and science). Only if they start implementing the interior of the concept to these cars.
I want Cadillac to succeed so badly. But I agree with your gripes. They are so close to living up to the Cadillac name. Its driving dynamics and supercruise still make it competitive but they fall short because of the details. Interior colors, wood gloss, CUE, GM parts sharing.
Jamel Moore they’re definitely not second tier, but there’s definitely “room for perfection” and I hope Cadillac continues in the direction they’re going because if so they’ll definitely reach that level of perfection and have the competition scratching their heads trying to figure out how they did it.
I sometimes feel like Cadillac can't win in the minds of many people. For $20-25k more, of course a Benz or BMW has nicer "finish." But, I feel like if Cadillac did all those finish options (which they are for 2020, check out the Platinum trim!) then I think the complaint will be "Cadillac is charging $100k? Who will buy it?" For $70-90k,the ct6 has been a stellar product. And on the plastic on the lower door panel, honestly that's the part that gets kicked, hit, and roughed up more than other parts. A soft, cushy leather would probably wear very prematurely.
Both absolutely sharp vehicles. but the Cadillac’s craftsmanship is horrible. I say this because my 52g ATS PERFORMANCE was deemed a lemon and was bought back after my 23 rd breakdown. On my second Lexus GSF Sport now and only goes in for Oil changes. No comparison in build quality. Cadi is better off going back to Coupe Devilles and Eldorados. At least you knew what you were getting
Al Pappalardi easy man, I'm sorry to hear about your problems, but I have a 2013 ATS 2.0T and has only had a radiator problem and the CUE needed to be replaced, both under warranty many many thousand miles back. Keep in mind, I live near Malibu where most of the miles on my car are hard, lead footed, stressful, enthusiastic miles because of the curvy canyon roads here. At the same time, my friend's Lexus 200T has recently started over heating to the point where he's looking to trade it in. I do believe in lexus build quality, but no car is perfect, and sometimes you get lemons from any brand.
Ive had my eye on this car for 3 years. When I heard they stopped production, I had to go buy one. By far the nicest car I have ever owned. It is the best looking large sedan on the road in my opinion. Ive only been driving it for 2 months but dont have a single criticism other than i dont like when the car shuts off when it stops. There is a split second delay from stop to acceleration, which makes it a bit slow on the jump. That said, all the power I would ever want is in this engine. what a beauty!!!
I love how honest your reviews are. I look forward to seeing these car reviews every day and it is the first thing I look for when I get home from work in my TH-cam inbox. Thank you Soyfan!
Officially my favorite reviewer! High quality videos, very informative, never misses a detail... perfect mix of entertainment and information! The only minor bump is sometimes the audio quality. Keep on doing great reviews and improving! Best car reviewer on TH-cam!
From the day I bought my 2018 CT6 Platinum 3.0TT, I KNEW I made the right choice. I started a several years ago with a new ATS, then after a couple of years, moved up to the XTS and loved both of them. So, when some nitwit (like the guy in red F150) caused an accident that totaled my XTS, I decided it was time to upgrade again. I test drove all of the comps you mention, (MB S Class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8L etc etc), and I honestly felt like the CT6 was just more fun to drive, and for quite a bit less money. She's loaded, there is no option available that I don't have (keeping in mind that the V8 wasn't available at the time) but considering how well powered the 3.0TT is, a V8 just seems like overkill. You didn't even mention the camera driven rear view mirror! For me, it more than makes up for the small side view mirrors. It takes a few drives to get used to looking at a camera view, but once you get used to it, you can't do without it! As I said, I started in an ATS, which was an absolute beast from a handling viewpoint, but amazingly, with the magnetic suspension and the rear wheel turning assist, my CT6 handles just as well but is obviously a much larger vehicle. The Super Cruise IS very cool, and even though I'm still not ready to fully trust any autonomous vehicle in heavy traffic, it is amazing on longer trips when traffic has thinned out a little. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet, and constantly having to start/stop causes my feet to burn like crazy after awhile. So both the Super Cruise and the Adaptive Cruise are both superstars for me, and I agree with your statement about "road appeal". I've gotten so many compliments on all of my Cadillacs through the years, but none more so than the CT6.
pretty amazing how well calibrated and smart the super cruise system is. this car deserves more attention. its not quite S class or 7 series quality but you get a lot of the same goodies for a cheaper price. I also think its a stunning car to look at especially in the platinum trim. The 2019 version with the new TTV8 will be a mind blowing performer. when you add the already lightweight nimble platform with 627 lb ft of torque and AWD paired to their new 10 speed transmission I expect ridiculous numbers
Congratulations Sofyan. I've been watching your channel from very early on and with this report you've brought you're channel to an entirely new level. Great work!
Can i just say i fucking love the simple but exquisite design of the new caddys? Like its absolutely beautiful. Not crazy overflared lines or extra vents and shit. Instead they just made what's already there, stunning and on point.
Cadillacs are well known to have electronic issues so once it stops working in let’s say about a month... the novelty of buying that brand new Cadillac will wear off lol
This maybe your best video. I am a youtuber with a 2001 Deville I bought at a police impound. I paid $375 back in November. It was running but would not pull forward. I spent $2850 to have the transmission rebuilt. Now my engine has a blown head gasket. A shop want to charge me to pay $7,900 to install a rebuilt engine. The 1st. shop wanted $8400.
blackericdenice stay away from north star motors from 97-2004... it took gm nearly 11 years to finally fix that engine... if you like the deville.... get a 2007-2011 DTS
I took it to another shop and the guy said he replace the water pump. He charged me $805. I've put 1000 miles on the car and it don't pump out the coolant any more. The guy say a lot of shops tell people they have a blown head gasket when they have other problems. th-cam.com/video/VAtnRdJwHok/w-d-xo.html
Richard Rybarczyk I wouldn’t say comfort tho. Even though Mercedes are expensive, you can’t deny how comfortable they’re. In terms of style, I 100% agree with you on that. They don’t blend around like other manufacturers. Cadillac are one of the few car manufacturers that stand out on their own.
The CT6 is definitely a step forward for Cadillac, but they aren't quite on par with the competition just yet. Some interior materials and the infotainment system, in particular, are still lagging significantly behind the Germans and also Lexus. That said, the rear seat comfort and autonomous features are class bests, so they deserve big credit for that. In any case, if Cadi keeps pushing ahead they'll eventually have a very competitive total package with the CT6. Great review Sofyan!
Great review as usual. Thanks for taking the time to really show how that super cruise hands-free works for real life situation. I love the fact that Cadillac didnt do the awful two tone interior on this car. I don't want black leather seats dashboard and then a light-colored headliner and other inserts. But that's just my preference. It was nice to see you having so much fun driving the flagship Cadillac. Have a beautiful day
Thank you for this review ( I have watched the other reviews you have done on the CT6 and it seemed you loved it).I got the 2018 CT6 as the second owner, and it is a lot of car for the money. I think I'm going to be happy. So thanks for your good reviews.
I remember living in Frederick, MD. Driving to DC during rush hour on Friday was HELL. But now that I live in Coral Springs, FL, that traffic is nothing compared to south Florida.
The more I watch car reviews, the more it becomes clear that no matter how good they get or even surpass the Europeans in many aspects, people -- mainly Americans -- will always nitpick and never be satisfied with Cadillac. Somehow for Cadillac to stay true to its heritage and silence the unnecessary criticism, the best option is not to compete with BMW and Mercedes, but to truly go beyond the reach of the common folk and compete directly with Maybach, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley.
I’ve always had Lexus cars. Finally bought an American car this year and I’m already thinking of selling it. It’s had so many problems and the depreciation on them is the worse.
I am so glad GM put a camera in with super cruise. I remain concerned that Nissan is making a mistake with pro pilot by not doing the same. Looks like a very impressive car. GM is killing it these days.
Drove a black 3.6 today that had the black interior, brown leather seats, and carbon fiber where the wood is on this one. Think it was a 17. Had the panaray audio also. Even that rear passengers get a center channel.Much better than those black seats!
Something I noticed about the Key FOB and its metal trim. A GREAT idea would be to put the Reith they took off the logo and etch it onto the Metal sides of the remote!
You left out a great color interior Cadillac offers. It's called cinnamon and keeps the dash black and doors black except the armrest which is cinnamon. I get a lot of compliments on this interior with my CT6 , do a little research next time you make a review video.
You forgot to mention the standard AWD and Rear steering with the Platinum trim! I think the exterior of CT6 looks very stately in person. The interior fails the exterior in appearance. Love those wheels!!!
Great review. Since you had the car for a week it would have been cool to show off the night vision tech as well. I personally still love going on long road trips so i'd use supercruise quite often.
Thanks for the review. Super cruise is something that could be a deal maker for me. Great review. One quick look at the interior of this car makes it clear. Flagship buyers won't even take a second look at this and will continue buying their Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.
I agree. Too much parts sharing, lack of options in colors, contrasts, and overall cheapness. Before you mentioned the vibrating seat I was thinking to my self - what good are the blinking lights on the steering wheel if you are not looking forward.
I finally took an opportunity to see this car up close. The exterior is beautiful. The interior, however, lacks the same beauty and sophistication. Cadillac should QUICKLY take some interior style cues from Mercedes.
that front end is stunning...
The only thing exciting and attractive about this car is the front end!!!
Ikr I’ve always loved the front ends on gm vehicles
Every year, they are getting closer and closer to the original concept car back when they launched their new lineup (art and science).
Only if they start implementing the interior of the concept to these cars.
Imagine if they built the ct8. I would love a long two door cadillac (modern Eldorado) with the twin turbo v6 or a v8
I want Cadillac to succeed so badly. But I agree with your gripes. They are so close to living up to the Cadillac name. Its driving dynamics and supercruise still make it competitive but they fall short because of the details. Interior colors, wood gloss, CUE, GM parts sharing.
Tim, totally agree! They’re still a 2nd tier luxury brand compared to who they’re competing with!
Ikr if they had Red, Light brown interior it would have been perfect
Well stated.
Jamel Moore they’re definitely not second tier, but there’s definitely “room for perfection” and I hope Cadillac continues in the direction they’re going because if so they’ll definitely reach that level of perfection and have the competition scratching their heads trying to figure out how they did it.

Yes Yes. My grandpa dreams car. Yes. The color right. Yes. I pray for this model Cadillac 👍💕
Cadillac CT6 and Lexus LS500 are my two top choices in the full size luxury sedan, love both of them.
DIAMLER because you dont have cash for benz
SRB NS I'd take Lexus over Mercedes and day
Test drive both!

This car is literal goals. I can't wait to buy it at a 70% discount after two years. lol
Harambo 😂😂👍
Jessica Rose yea Baby
What lol?
It's been discontinued lol
Jessica Rose Hauserman it won’t depreciate that much lmao it will be 70 off in 2030

Officially my favorite reviewer! High quality videos, very informative, never misses a detail... perfect mix of entertainment and information! The only minor bump is sometimes the audio quality. Keep on doing great reviews and improving! Best car reviewer on TH-cam!
That drive for you feature is great! And kudos to you for turning your head away and trusting the car. All for the viewers!
What an amazing vehicle. Have always liked Cadillacs, but this is over the top. Cadillac is the Standard of the World again.

Alex Schwartz Simplistic Beauty, indeed!
My dad has the CTS V, looks just like this. When he took it to the shop for a repair, they gave us one of these maxed out and it was awesome, love it
Long live Cadillac
And the ct6 is discontinued
Love those rims! 😍
Good old caddy still has it, glad to see an American car at the top of the class
Hell no!!!! LoL Thumbs Down
D_ nO hater lol
Cadillac discontinued the ct6 lol
Thank God he explains the keyless entry on every car he reviews
Another great video production, keep the cars coming.👍🏾
LiveBreatheTech I
You just blew my mind with the Supercruise feature Sofyan! This is my new dream car
Cadillacs are well known to have electronic issues so once it stops working in let’s say about a month... the novelty of buying that brand new Cadillac will wear off lol
@@DarkKnight-ko8lq ain’t that the truth 😭
This car was ahead of its time. LiDAR and radar is better than just relying on cameras for self driving
You've GOT to try the 2019 CT6. It's even more gorgeous.
And that CT6-V? EPIC
This maybe your best video. I am a youtuber with a 2001 Deville I bought at a police impound. I paid $375 back in November. It was running but would not pull forward. Cadillac has always been the leader when it comes to style, comfort and technology. I just wish I could afford one.

chudi okonkwo.....I guess when I was writing that comment I was thinking of American automobiles. I do agree with you on Mercedes though.
I Would say MB but cadi is definitely a jewel of an automobile
Mahin Ahmed 👍
Leader? Hahaha
Great review! Imo you've been the king of car reviews for a while now, keep it up my friend!
The CT6 is definitely a step forward for Cadillac, but they aren't quite on par with the competition just yet. I absolutely love this car, I can't wait to see the V8! Let's hope GM hooks you up with one of the first models. Your reviews are top notch.
Cadillac looks beautiful .

I saw this car in a movie a few days ago, and I fell in love with the car.
Cadillac just won the autonomous driving race. Excellent review!
Great real world demonstration of the autonomous driving mode.
That Super Cruise is so cool.
Thank you for this review ( I have watched the other reviews you have done on the CT6 and it seemed you loved it).I got the 2018 CT6 as the second owner, and it is a lot of car for the money. I think I'm going to be happy. So thanks for your good reviews.
Whenever I heard that voice looking for car review, I stayed tuned! Keep it up Sofyan
The CT6 is cool!!! Thanks for the review!
Glad to see Cadillac back on the rise and with the new navigator Lincoln is headed in an equally bright direction.
I remember living in Frederick, MD. Driving to DC during rush hour on Friday was HELL. But now that I live in Coral Springs, FL, that traffic is nothing compared to south Florida.

Am i the only one who thinks sofyan is really cute? he is actually really adoreble espaiclly after when he was driving
This Cadillac is the king of luxury cars
This car is perfect for me, black on black.
34 Speakers?? I want this car even more now
Look at that interior. All class. Boss.
Totally, 110% sold. Only issue: I don't have $90k.
I always say it; this CT6 is better than most of its German rivals. I also think it's durability will be on par with Lexus. Watch out everyone.
Femi Ogunsola *watches out*
Nah chill fam. Its a gm it break in 20k miles.
Femi Ogunsola keep dreaming buddy
I’ve always had Lexus cars. Finally bought an American car this year and I’m already thinking of selling it. It’s had so many problems and the depreciation on them is the worse.
It will not last as long as a lexus. I am proof of that.
Looks like a Bentley, sounds like a beast, rides like a cloud, all Cadillac. Good introduction music, thanks dude 👍
That's awesome, the car drives itself.
That music though....love it!
Something I noticed about the Key FOB and its metal trim. A GREAT idea would be to put the Reith they took off the logo and etch it onto the Metal sides of the remote!
that's actually a really impressive system.
Cadillac is Cadillac...period.!!!
You uploaded this on my Birthday!
That thing is smoking hot in black. Can't wait to see what how the V will perform and sound
That interior is super-quiet, you've tested to date!
You left out a great color interior Cadillac offers. It's called cinnamon and keeps the dash black and doors black except the armrest which is cinnamon. I get a lot of compliments on this interior with my CT6 , do a little research next time you make a review video.
This car is stunning. That design is a killer. No crossover or SUV can to p that mafia design :)
Super Cruise is ideal for those who love getting road head.
Ed Jones Or sniffing a bump of coke
You forgot to mention the standard AWD and Rear steering with the Platinum trim! I think the exterior of CT6 looks very stately in person. The interior fails the exterior in appearance. Love those wheels!!!
Great review as always.
I CANT WAIT TO TAKE A NAP ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK!!!!!!!
Great review. Since you had the car for a week it would have been cool to show off the night vision tech as well. I personally still love going on long road trips so i'd use supercruise quite often.
Thanks for the review. Super cruise is something that could be a deal maker for me. That’s something that would push me in the direction of that company if I were considering vehicles in that segment. I spend a lot of time on interstates in the mid-atlantic and along the east coast. Could you do a comparison for all of the vehicles that have a similar function?
Also I’d like to buy you a coffee one day to talk about how you got started. You’ve established yourself as a brand and you’ve shown staying power. We respect that.
Keep up the great work
Keep up the great work Sofyan! Cars may start driving themselves but hopefully they don't start reviewing themselves.
This car is awesome.
I've watched your videos for many years. I recently moved to Northern Virginia. Hi neighbor!
Best review of yours hands down!!
How's the fit and finish overall? Never look into GM product(too many issues) before but this CT6 sounds pretty good quality and interesting.
What do u think of Cadillac ct5 2020 luxury?
This is such a great looking car. I am a GM fan and they make some great vehicles, but have 25 years of poor history to overcome.
what a beast
Your reviews are phenomenal. I wanted to email you to ask your opinion on a head to head comparison of these two used vehicles and which would you choose?
2017 Cadillac CT6 3.0TT Platinum
2017 Audi A6 3.0T Prestige
If you were to compare all major facets, which would you choose to purchase as your daily driver?
Wow, self driving!!!
To each is own in regards to the interior but I actually like it.
Cadillac looks good nice Car nice design
If you had the CT6 for a week, how come you did not test the night vision feature? It's one of the major safety features.
Great review. One quick look at the interior of this car makes it clear. Flagship buyers won't even take a second look at this and will continue buying their Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.
signdetres I agree the engine and technology is on point tho u can't lie.
signdetres 😐😑🤔
And they will pay a lot more too.
signdetres What's wrong with it?
I agree. Too much parts sharing, lack of options in colors, contrasts, and overall cheapness. Come on, how much more would it really have been to have better materials for the doors, or AT THE VERY LEAST a felt liner to reduce rattling?
Yeah, it's fast, it handles, rides well, etc. That's expected. At this price point the little details matter and GM cheapness is showing it's ugly face again.
The Super Cruise is awesome in my opinion.
I hear the transmission are bad is it true?
Beautiful car!
I'm waiting for the CT6-V. Wake me up when it comes out for production.
My sister live in Arlington and driving from Richmond to Arlington can be horrific. I can see how this would be beneficial.
I love my grandmothers was plush and soft and felt really expensive and grand it was a car from 1993 Gorgeous
Love that grey color
Great review Sofyan!
I've noticed that in my Adaptive cruise as well it leaves a huge gap that ppl cut u off with
Awesome review. Can't wait for you guys to review the G70.
Contrary to the reviewer's comment at 4:05, Cadillac has always offered a Cinnamon interior color option on the CT6.
mlamike sadly on the Platinum Trim, the Cinnamon isn’t available.
Cinnamon is featured on the 2019 CT6 VSport photos on the Cadillac website. He Said "Cadillac doesn't offer it on their Flagship models". NOT True!
I believe the twin turbo v6 only comes in all wheel drive?
3:37 "oh no, I lost my big ass CT6 again!"
I worked at Cadillac of Mobile and we had one with a cinnamon interior with full carbon fiber accents.
I wish, Australia was getting this car.
2018-19 CT6 my dream car. I’ll trade in my Chrysler 300. For one. No payment.
Before you mentioned the vibrating seat I was thinking to my self - what good are the blinking lights on the steering wheel if you are not looking forward.
Best robot in the world.
Oh that’s good I’m going to buy one
I'd kill to take that on a nice long road trip
I finally took an opportunity to see this car up close. The exterior is beautiful. The interior, however, lacks the same beauty and sophistication. Cadillac should QUICKLY take some interior style cues from Mercedes.
