Was there a reason why you wanted to replace the oil seal? I have a 1980 Sea King by Chrysler that overheats when I go full speed. I replaced the impeller and cleaned the housing and it pumps good water at idle. But once I get my boat to plane, water stops coming out from the holes at the back. I went as far as removing the powerhead and the exhaust plating on the side and nothing inside the engine seems blocking. Have you got your motors running?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes water was leaking into the gearbox oil and making it milky. that is why i changed the seal. Where the water goes into ya motor is that damaged at all. should not overheat if it is pumping water. Other thing to check is ya water pipe or one other thing you could have missed. The water jackets in the cylinder head could be blocked up with salt and crap to. Take the plate of the side of the motor and check about 10 bolts 8mm i think.
