Andy, I am a "well seasoned" lady (old broad) who has been with you for a while. All I can say is that I am proud of you. Your honesty, work ethic, love for your family all say volumes about you. BTW, I love your "truck" talks.
Just purchased my 3rd Landscape. Trying to figure out how to build by myself at 65. I have 3 grandsons n I'm trying to build them a legacy. Your pc of wood made me cry. It's exactly where I am.. starting over. God. My 2 hands and determination. Blessings to you.
I agree with this young lady. You help me to keep on going on. I've thought about ending everything and then someone sent me one of your videos and it has helped me out a whole hell of a lot. Keep up the great job
I told a person recently.. I can't find anyone that isn't struggling emotionally/financially, at some level.. You've made choices and made success. You have a safe place for your family and you're making a way forward. Be safe.
It is so valuable to the world for a man to be decent, caring father and husband that provides in a way that keeps his sanity. Men need to realize the above is valuable instead trying to be a pedo politician/actor/rock star/ ceo making millions that everyone despises.
Your story sounds very familiar to me. I divorced in the 1980’s after 5 spinal surgeries, wife refused to move to save my career. I left with a car, some tools and $1000. Starting from scratch! I met a young lady who stood by my sixth spine surgery and going on disability which was a blessing and a curse! We had an income but my career ended. 2 years later we purchased a house on contract after living in a mobile home that we owned. We rented it out to help pay on the contract to the point of being able to pay off the house! We sold it and bought a bigger home. At one point after divorce I was driving an old VW that only had a floor mat for a floor and $50 to our name! That young woman has been with me for 42 years, 6 more spinal surgeries, 2 knee replacements, spinal meningitis, almost loosing a leg, kidney failure Parkinson’s, and end stage heart failure. No regrets! Just keep going and achieving your goals! Love ya!
Stay strong man, health problems can bring one to the knees. I have an ORIF in my second metacarpal after i crushed it with a truck bed. Nowhere near as extensive as your stuff but again. Wishing you the best
That piece of wood doesn't belong in the fireplace. It belongs on the mantle as a constant reminder of where you started. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers and keep it up brother. You are an inspiration for so many. It's really easy to lose perspective on how far we have come. It is a blessing to receive little reminders like this on how far we have come. God bless.😊
Andy, I'm 47 years old, I had a 18 year old that helped me with everything, he started his chapter in life and moved away. I'm proud of him. But he has been my sidekick since he could ride along. I'm self employed, and trying to figure life out solo. Don't get me wrong, I'm married, I have 2 younger kids, but my oldest was my shadow, together we could accomplish anything. Now I'm tackling everything trying to teach my wife and daughter, and my youngest son what my oldest knew and also knew my next thought. I struggle everyday. We accomplish what we can. Production has dropped, but we moved forward. Our house remodel, our farm production, and my business reflects the oldest son missing, and the it hurts. But he needs his new chapter, as much as we disagree, and as much as we think he is making a mistake with this new chapter, we all have our chapters, live your chapter. It will eventually end and a new chapter will begin, some chapters we miss others we don't. But they all come to an end. Stay strong.
Nothing wrong with taking time to stop and pat yourself on the back. You are resourceful, determined, talented, committed and a great guy. You keep filming and I'll keep watching!
My Dad passed away back in November. It's been a huge struggle trying to work my full-time job get his house cleaned out and ready to sell, and absorb all of his things that are special to me into our home. It's been stressful to say the least. I appreciate this video this evening and I am grateful that you found something that brought some light to your life and change your prospective to your life progress.
You have came a long way, like you said. I'm proud of you, and I've watched your journey from the beginning. Before you know it it you'll have that chicken coop ready.
I remember the pup camper days. Just know that you’re not alone and some of us can relate to everything you’re saying. We all need to stop and take a look at where we were to appreciate where we are now. The light at the end of the tunnel is closer than we think. I myself have to set one yearly goal for myself so that I don’t get that overwhelmed feeling. So far for the last six years it has worked for me. I actually got a few extra things done that wasn’t part of the yearly goal plan and that’s just an added bonus for me. Just remember you’re not alone and loved by a lot of us. Stay strong and stay the course and enjoy every minute of it. As you say, “ I hope you learn something.” ❤
You've come a long way and you are moving forward. I've rebuilt my life from rock bottom. I understand. I made it. It ain't easy but it needs doing. God bless you and your family, Andy. Keep moving forward.
What you've build is nothing short of impressive. Especially the relationship with your kids and your wife..family is everything. You'll get the house done eventually 👍
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ it's always good to reflect on what brought you to this point in life, always be grateful 🙏 I remember your log cabin building days, you've come a long way and you should be proud of yourself. God bless you and your family ✌️🇺🇲
Mate you have so much to be proud of. You have done so much on your piece of land ,, improvements , building dwellings you name it mate. I reckon you’ve got lots to be proud of. !!
Man, we all fuck up and have to regroup. Many won't admit it publicly, but it happens to everybody (except for a very very few lucky silver spoon people). Thanks for your videos of your achievements. They are a real positive influence to many of us...
Andy I just recently come across your video yesterday. Not sure what's going on with you and your story, but I can relate. I lost my house last Friday. I spent 2 days sleeping outside My work without anyone knowing it. I went to Walmart to take a spit bath and change clothes to go to work. On the third day it started raining. I had just gotten cleaned up at Walmart and was going back to work. It started raining and it rained and it rained and it rained. As soon as I left Walmart headed for the 1 mile walk to work. I was soaked. I questioned God why do you hate me so bad?. I turned around and went back to Walmart to freshen up again. It never stopped raining. I finally called a friend to come and get me. I could not do it anymore. Anyway, I am at my aunt and uncle's house an hour away and I have a job opportunity that will come to reality Monday morning. I think that God put me in the right place at the right time for this to happen. Thanks to the friends and family, I am safe. To God be the glory. He knew what I needed and he was there to help. Now I can get my life back in order. Get my finances back in order and move on with my life. I feel you buddy, I feel your pain. I have lived it myself and it is not easy. But I know that God will take care of me. Amen
Life is good Brother I have been at the start, and thru the journey Heck, we may all be there again. But Life is a Blessing, and you are blessed. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Andy. I needed to hear this. I too am overwhelmed. The more I do, the more I must do. Your words touched a cord tonight. Hang in there also. Love ya.
Andy. You don't know me, I only know you through (initially) Fb vids and now your excellent TH-cam Channel. I have no idea how long I have been watching your vids, but you've inspired me to get more hands on with simple projects and tasks, you stimulated my backyard mechanic interests, you have fed my religious needs, and ultimately you've played a huge part in me celebrating my upcoming 6 months sobriety on the 18th of September. This is barely the tip of the iceberg in how much your vids have meant to me and I am sure there are 1000s more like me. Just keep doing what you are doing, if this is where you are after 4 years, imagine after 10.
Keep on Keeping on Andy! Moving over from Fb to here to make sure and support you. Started regularly watching about 3 years ago after a divorce that included selling my home. Three years later i'm in a new home I purchased and am happily married to and amazing women of God. God is good and he always provides. Keep on grinding!
I hear you load and clear! Its my story too! Its my 3rd time starting over, and i made it this time! I didn't loose my family but i lost everything else! I have been blessed!!! We get frusterated and impatient with things but it will all work out!!😊
I feel this deeply in my heart I'm eating good tonight I paid bills...I am doing my best hard as it is but wow I was homeless and broke and with out anything...I never gave up ...every now and then I feel sad but accomplished...love your posts and thank you ...and as you say God bless my guy
Amen brother! We all need a refresher of being thankful of where we are now despite of where we’ve been. We all appreciate the work you put into these videos .
One foot in front of the other brother & one day at a time. I was in the same spot as you a few wks ago. I was overwhelmed. I vented to my better (smarter) half & I decided that I will get it done on, times schedule, not my schedule. Keep plugging away, you're doing great.
This is why we're all here and keep coming back. There a lot of us that have been or are where you are or have been and it's nice to know we're all not alone. It's like a TH-cam therapy community. Also the waffle House brain hit a little close to home I'll be thinking about that today mowing. Thanks for all you do for us Andy whether you know you're doing it or not. It means a lot.
Started over 12 years ago and accomplished more than I ever thought would be possible. Now I'm getting prepped to "start over" again. Not in the tragic, don't have a choice sense. But in the sense that I've grown and changed, and so have my dreams. Your faith and persistence are truly an inspiration. And whether you continue to film or not, that won't change to the 10s of thousands you've already touched!
Andy, Thanks for the message that a lot of people need to hear. A couple of years back my wife lost her job so we decided to gamble a bit and start our own business. A year later I got fed up with some stuff my former employer was doing and left an extremely lucrative job and start fresh as the sole source of income in this lovely economy we have now. It’s been taxing to say the least. Along the lines of your log, I have tried to keep some pictures of everything we built in our little store as we have gone along renovating and growing. It’s so good to stop for a minute and realize how far you have come. In each moment it seems like I’m not moving as fast as I like. But in the space of two years time, it’s really amazing what we have accomplished. Your story in this video was a nice reminder to look back and take a moment to reflect. Thank you…
We all have times of reflection on our lives of what is and what could have been, me myself struggling with that every day. I just thank God for waking up every morning. Everything after that is another day to improve on what time I have left on Earth and continue to learn from my past. Thanks, brother, for sharing your thoughts, and God bless.
We will always be here for you. God is there with you, helping guide you. Everyone goes through different types of trials, and you have made a home and support your family. You have achieved a lot. Thank God . I am 70, been through hell and back. Keep up the great work and love of life. Their are people out there who need your prayers. ❤
Heck yeah you're making it! Most men, or people in general, can't do half of what you do. Not many people are as brave as you are to even try, much less throw it out there for everyone to see and comment on. One task at a time and you'll have it all done. And I have the same waffle brain that you have. Last night I was getting down because I'm so overloaded with projects and things not going right. Today my back is hurting again so here's another day that I won't make progress. But then I see your video and it hits me right in the face. I've come a long way myself from living in a camper 5 years ago also. Thank you for your videos and God bless you and your family!
Comment for youtube... camp chair talk is nicer than truck talk on this. The background of what you did over the years is perfect for this subject. So Glad it's coming back together for you & the family. We all get over burden in life, especially before winter hits up here.
Perspective is everything. Look at where your sitting whilst telling this story... a beautiful property thats self made! Enjoy the small steps in the journey and ignore the rest... itl figure itself out.
Sooo, I get where you are at, I'm 61 and looking at retirement, scared because this will be the last chapter of my life, I have battled addiction s, got thru them. I honestly have been close to where you are with the overwhelming part, I truly believe you will succeed. Hang in there and please keep on keeping on. God bless
You're doing great. Life isn't easy for most of us. Many of us struggle. I'm usually broke a couple weeks before payday. But when you look at your progress - you can take solice in moving forward. One step at a time. One project at a time. Keep up the good work, buddy.
Hey man, Thank you for sharing your trip down memory lane. I'm a little over 3.5 years from being at that place where hope was returned just enough to even try to do something with what now seems like nothing. I too, get overwhelmed with what I think needs to happen. It wasn't that long ago that I had little more than faith in something I knew nothing about. Life is indeed good today, and sometimes I forget that.
You've worked extremely hard to get to where you are today, Andy. That piece of wood is not a mistake that you found again. It was placed where you could find it when you needed it. You found it, and it is your reminder to show you where you were and how far you've come. You fight your addiction every day, but you also fight to keep your family and everything you've done and built. You are a good man who fights to make every day a better day for yourself and your family. I really like watching your videos. No matter how many or how often they come out. You and your family are a great family that has weathered the storm and has come out the other end. Y'all aren't perfect, but you made it, and you're makin it. I love when your wife joins you and y'all banter back and forth. Y'all are good people and i like your channel. God bless.😊❤
I’m glad to say I’ve followed you just about every step of the way from the leaky camper and outside kitchen to the homestead you have now you’ve impacted a lot of people taught us all a lot and you’re still teaching us from the bottom of my heart thank you no matter what let er keep on wobbling
Thank you for the humility! I needed to hear all this! Rome wasn't built in a week, and nothing worth doing is easy! Happy to be along for the ride! Keep the videos coming when you can! Keep working hard!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 4 years. But the downs and ups are what makes us all stronger. Yes there are those days when we feel we have done little to nothing in our lives but when you look back at where we started and where we are now it’s a blessing. Some of the things went sideways and then down but we bounce back and kick the devil in the backside and get on with life. Now look what we have accomplished. Your fire/truck talks makes us stronger and better. A little pat on the back never hurts. Leter wobble.
Bro, you’ve come a LONG WAY! I absolutely love seeing what the Lord has taken you from and also what He has gifted you with. You are favored brother. Keep encouraging others and keep being encouraged. Much love from Minnesota!
Well brother I believe a lot of people have been where your at but most of those people gave up,you my friend did not. I have been overwhelmed didn’t know up from down, I spoke to a older gentleman who gave me these words; stop clear your head there will always be work that needs done and pick one that is best for you and yours. Those words have stuck with me for about 35 years I’m 53 now and so far it has works. As all ways love and prayers.
As long as you are on You Tube, I’ll be listening and watching your videos. I started watching after you had been on for a while. I liked your channel so much that I went back to the beginning and have watched all of your videos. Keep up the great things you do ,and remember, God is always with you.
0:02 here since day one, brother. Feel like we share a similar approach to life. Keep doing what you do. You're an inspiration to a lot of folks and a man's man.
I needed to see this today! I'd kinda lost you & had to search for you a bit. Kinda restarting again myself. One day at a time & keep it going! Much love & more respect! Glad I found you again. Hitting the follow button again! Thank you!! 👏🏻🙏💪🏻❤️
Andy, with love and faith anything can be overcome! I also lost my wife and children, but through the grace of the Almighty Lord I have them back!! You are a inspiration to a lot of us. Stay on your knees my friend!!
I've been with you since pretty close of the beginning. Thanks for sharing your life and inspiration for others. Keep on keeping on and letting er wobble. 👍
Definitely a good reminder, Thanks Andy :) I tend to have the same "Waffle House Brain" myself but am still struggling to even get started! Keep on Keeping On, brother! I've enjoyed your encouragements and praying for you these years and will continue praying! :)
Andy all we can do is one thing at a time. Learn to forgive yourself when you have done your best. You come up with some serious PFM at times. Keep doing what you are doing.
Keep your mind on him Andy. Was just using this verse tonight to explain to my son what we put in our minds can change how we live. Well Andy, I think God's perfect peace is a man in a Skid Steer. As always I Love you and you still need a Skid Steer! Keep trusting him!
Never heard a better description of what I'm dealing with mentally than wafflehouse brain. Too many projects not enough time and fall/winter seems to be moving in a bit early this year over here in New Hampshire which just adds to the stress. But I appreciate the message it helped a lot today and I thank you sir for all the content and comraderie I get from you. It will all balance just gotta keep goimg.
I've been around since you building that log cabin living in the camper and showing us how to season cast iron! Thank you for all of your motivation and always being real with us!
Andy I have had people ask me why I always take the hard road. My answer has been what makes you think I see two roads or options. I want to say your videos have kept me moving forward or just moving for me the option to stop could end any progress I have made. I have a problem getting started it's one of my flaws. Thanks for the videos and the honesty. Bless you and your family.
Keep doing what you do brother. I know you are an inspiration for me and many others. Though I didnt go through the pains of alcohol addiction, my step dad did and I saw some of the effects it had on our family even though he had sobered up. One day at a time we get better. One day at a time we build on from yesterday. One day at a time.
Andy, when you get down on yourself, just think of what you have accomplished. It’s great what you have done! We are somewhat alike, only I’m much older and can’t do what I used to and it pisses me off but I look around and see what I’ve built and it cheers me up. 😊
I’ve been watching you for almost since the beginning. I’m so thankful that you’ve continued and have taken inspiration from you. Your talks have helped in ways some wouldn’t understand. Keep strong in your faith and continue on the path the Lord has you on. You and your family are in our prayers for strength and wisdom in moving forward with building your dreams.
Sometimes you need to step back and take a 100ft look at where you are and where you came from. Sometimes its hard to remember that and take that time. And its always the little things that remind you. Keep up the good work man
I am so grateful for your honesty and sharing your story. I have health problems that is only going to get worse as time goes on. I have started over from nothing so many times I quit counting. My two youngest daughters have some bad health problems also. One that just graduated high school but she will have to live with use for years so she's not taken advantage of because she is mentally 11 are 12 . My other daughter was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and is not able to attend school in person so she's doing it online. It brakes my heart to see my girls go through some tough things. God as blessed me with an amazing wife that supports me and my girls with a smile. My wife is dealing with MS herself I don't know how she does it but she has an amazing outlook on life. You give me hope. God bless you and your family my friend.
Hang in there Andy.. Been watching your channel for years... Love every minute every screw up every mistake every win... It's all about learning and the journey... Keep up the good work and the good fight
I’ve been here from living in a camper and trying to build a cabin cooking lessons cleaning cast iron and more and you area inspiration to a lot of people, we all get overwhelmed at times and I have to break projects down into smaller goals. but small goals add up to finished projects. Keep on trucking!
6 years ago i was living in a 1998 Mercedes Vito.. absolutely clapped out bag of rust. 6 years of hardwork later im sat in my 3 bed semidetached with a fiancé and a son.. cars and a good job but its easy to forgetwhat you have been through.. stay strong brother your doing well
I subscribed here on TouYube. I love your down to earth, common sense, approach to problems you face. I love how you just figure it out. You have a great sense of humor that will carry you over the rocky patches. Wishing you, Carlos, and your sweet family the very best.
Boy it's like you knew exactly how I am feeling. The cool mornings of recent days has got me looking back at everything I didn't get done this season and not looking at everything that has. Thanks for the talk, it was needed. I've been watching since the beginning and it amazes me what you have accomplished. I'm always excited to see whats next. Glad to hear you found a little spark, let that spark turn into that flame that keeps the internal boiler running. Thanks for being out there doing what you do.
I have been here from close to the start but man u have help me millions. Gambling was my vice that has been out of my life now for 26 weeks and I can't be happier with my life and I have you to thank for showing u can make little or even massive changes that makes it a whole lot easier so for just keeping it real on occasion I thank you and God bless you and ur Wonderful family from here in bonny scotland Thanks
I have watched you from the beginning and you have moved a million miles forward I am 20 years clean and sober and I'm still amazed at where my life is now compared to where it used to be Thanks for the great content Andy
I've watched for a long time and inspired with your words. I'm going thru some things that most would call crazy, but it is what it is. I just have absolutely no-one to talk to. It's a killer as crazy as it is.
Andy, I am a "well seasoned" lady (old broad) who has been with you for a while. All I can say is that I am proud of you. Your honesty, work ethic, love for your family all say volumes about you. BTW, I love your "truck" talks.

Thanks for sharing
Truck talks help me more than you ever know, thank you. I also love the 'how to's' and the 'this is how I do it's ' ha ha ha xx
I have been sober for about 8 years now been to the top and back to the bottom but with the good Lord we keep going forward keep up the good work
Amen brother!
Andy,
Thanks for the message that a lot of people need to hear.
Andy, you have helped more people than any shrink has. Hang in there; we're with you.
You have come a long way Andy! Thank you for being real and sharing your struggles. We love ya! Hours from Michigan.❤
I liked the outside perspective this week, better than truck talk. I certainly feel you this week
Thanks for sharing. You are appreciated for sharing.
Comment for youtube... camp chair talk is nicer than truck talk on this. The background of what you did over the years is perfect for this subject. So Glad it's coming back together for you & the family. We all get over burden in life, especially before winter hits up here.
For anyone reading this... I'm across the big pond (Lake Michigan) to the west of Andy in Wisc. Have wooded land slowly being developed as well.
Keep strong Andy what I've seen in 4 years of watching you and you incredible family you got this . I really enjoy your entertainment God bless you
Perspective is everything. Look at where your sitting whilst telling this story... a beautiful property thats self made! Enjoy the small steps in the journey and ignore the rest... itl figure itself out.
Thanks for your testimonies Andy, you've touched and influenced so many people. Bless you, my brother.
Andy ,keep on going we have all been thru rough times. Keep on, Jesus loves you. God bless.
Andy, I have a lot of respect for you. Keep pushing forward, brother that’s all we can do.
I've been watching your videos for nearly 4 years. As always, I enjoy all of your videos! Thank you for sharing with us.
God bless you brother. Thanks for sharing. Boe 🙏
Bro, you’ve come a LONG WAY! I absolutely love seeing what the Lord has taken you from and also what He has gifted you with.
You are favored brother. Keep encouraging others and keep being encouraged. Much love from Minnesota!
Look at all you have accomplished over the last 4 years, it's amazing. You have done more than some do in a lifetime. Keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you sir for what you do. Love ya and prayin for you.
You are a true American, hardworking honest " salt of the earth" homesteader , not fake ersatz click bater !
0:02 here since day one, brother.
Feel like we share a similar approach to life.
Keep doing what you do. You're an inspiration to a lot of folks and a man's man.
You never know how what you say or do will affect others. Thanks mate. I needed to hear this today.
I needed to see this today! I'd kinda lost you & had to search for you a bit. Kinda restarting again myself. One day at a time & keep it going! Much love & more respect! Glad I found you again. Hitting the follow button again! Thank you!! 👏🏻🙏💪🏻❤️
Touched my heart Andy. You're a good one. Keep on keeping on!
Andy, with love and faith anything can be overcome! I also lost my wife and children, but through the grace of the Almighty Lord I have them back!! You are a inspiration to a lot of us. Stay on your knees my friend!!
God bless you brother. You've come a long way. Keep on keeping on
I've been with you since pretty close of the beginning. Thanks for sharing your life and inspiration for others. Keep on keeping on and letting er wobble. 👍
Love you and you journey Andy and Carlos. I have been watching all your videos since the beginning and love seeing the changes.
Thank you for continuing to make videos, even when it’s hard. It brings inspiration and joy to so many people.
Andy, you have come a long way and we, your watchers, love you and want only the best for you and your family. Keep up, keeping up!

I subscribed here on TouYube. I love your down to earth, common sense, approach to problems you face. I love how you just figure it out. You have a great sense of humor that will carry you over the rocky patches. Wishing you, Carlos, and your sweet family the very best.
I’m grateful for your sharing! And thank you!!
I'm glad I looked up what you were up to lately, I haven't watched your videos in a while. I lost my life and I'm on the restart right now.
...and all done while we joined you on the journey. I think I speak for a lot of us in saying thank you and we are here for you. Let er' wobble!☺️
Gambling was my vice that has been out of my life now for 26 weeks and I can't be happier with my life and I have you to thank for showing u can make little or even massive changes that makes it a whole lot easier so for just keeping it real on occasion I thank you and God bless you and ur Wonderful family from here in bonny scotland

My father always told me that my grasp should be beyond my reach. Which means you keep trying you keep striving for something better.
