Fix Some Keys Not Working on Laptop Keyboard | Keyboard Not Working on Windows 10 {Solved}

If some of your keyboard keys are not working, it may be due to a hardware issue or it could be a software issue. Here are some troubleshooting tips to help you figure out the problem and fix it.
First, check to see if the keys that are not working are sticky or dirty. If they are, you can try cleaning them with a mild soap and water solution. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the keys.

If the keys are not sticky or dirty, the next step is to check your keyboard driver. To do this, go to the Device Manager in Windows. Find the keyboard device and double-click on it.
Click on the Driver tab and click on Update Driver. If there is an update available, follow the prompts to install it.
If updating the driver does not fix the problem, the next step is to try a different keyboard. If you have another keyboard that you can use, plug it in and see if the keys that are not working work on that keyboard.
If the keys still don't work, the problem is most likely a hardware issue. The best way to fix a hardware issue is to take the keyboard to a computer repair shop. They will be able to diagnose the problem and replace any damaged parts.

Oh my gosh! I think you helped! When I went on the Task Scheduler app, the TextServices Framework was disabled, so I clicked on it to say "enabled" and my keyboard seems to be fixed now! Thank you!

The first test people should do is try to access the bios.
If you can access the bios and move around using the keyboard, then the issue is most likely a windows driver issue.
I have a laptop where the keyboard doesnt work. I cant access the bios using they keyboard.
Plugging in a USB keyboard works fine though, so it seems I have a hardware issue.

I fixed my alienware laptop keyboard by going into the bios (holding f2 before windows load - this may differ on your laptop) > going to the keyboard section of the bios > revert to factory settings.
