Thanks a lot! For me, the plastic mechanism was stuck on the "Pause" key kap, and I didn't know what to do. After watching your video I plucked up courage for 12 hours to removed it, and mounted it on the keyboard key. Now it works!

You make it look so simple when it's anything but. I've spent the best part of 2 hours trying to reattach 2 keys to my keyboard and I still haven't figured it out.
it looks easy on this video, bu depending on the model, this is borderline impossible to do without breaking one of the little bars of the mounts that attach to the hooks on the keyboard. This plastic doesn't stretch very easily. If you are ordering parts, I recommend that you order more than one of the same key that you need to replace, in case you break it trying to get it on.

For anyone who may have difficulty placing back the retainer, it might be because when attempting to connect it back to the base, you haven't aligned it properly to the latches on the keyboard base. Had trouble attaching the retainer back because i was pressing it down the whole time when the latch (for my brand of laptop, it might differ from yours) was actually in the shape of a tiny hook :')
