Absolutely amazing! A remarkable and beautiful interpretation of JS Bach's classical composition. I hear various influences throughout. The beginning reminds me of Nelson Riddle's lively and swinging arrangements. The second part sounds a little like Astor Piazzolla. And the last part is very improvisational and jazzy. Wonderful performance by Ms Sidorova and all of the musicians!

Another proof that Bach's music can be played by anything in any way & still entertain.
No my dear...it is only proof that any given melody can be improvised...Bach can be performed in many ways correct within malodic-rhythmical sceleton given by himself...It is comercial try to make something entierly beautiful like his Urtext of bwv 1052 into complete disstortion of original idea in order to sattisfy very dubious superficial taste of a present mass who belives Bach should be something like music for Twean Peaks...Very pitty...

Check Jacques Loussier plays Bach. A lot more improvisation.
The only credit this arrangement gets that it blends with pure classical musician that never improvised before.
Callum Au knew where to stop before turning it into super-intellectual jazz. As usual he first took the piece apart, added a handful of jazz cadences and than put it back together. The accordion made the difference, it makes the piece more accessible, more recognizable, otherwise it would become too complex.
Cannot take eyes off your fingers, right hand , left hand and the intense expression on your pretty face, the joy of creating excellent music. Awesome!

Bravo, Ksenija!! That's a huge leap for what an accordion is traditionally percepted - "narodnyi' instrument, to a full blown classical use with a great sound and certainly an amazing skill of the performer, too!

Je suis un inconditionnel de Jean-Sebastien Bach et j'estime que c'est la grandeur de sa musique hors du temps qui lui permet d'être jouée de toutes les façons sans pour cela être dénaturée. En voilà une belle démonstration qui vient s'ajouter à des versions comme celle de Jacques Loussier. N'en déplaise à certains puristes. Cette version est très sympa. Magnifique même.

at one point in my life, i thought it was strange not to applaud between movements...... but now i somehow feel differently... i think the piece would maintain it's intensity better without applause.............. but it doesn't really really matter much. awesome music!
