A great fan of yours . You have single handedly uplifted the stature of piano accordion . It's only because of you that this instrument is now recognised as a "Classical" instrument. You are an institution in yourself. Great musician of our time.
Brillante interpretación en clave Piazzolla, el maestro estaría emocionado y orgulloso de vuestra versión, Mario desde la Ciudad de Buenos Aires de la República Argentina.
If Ksenija had chosen another instrument let's say the violin or the piano she would be a mega star by now. It is shameful that the instrument is prejudged by the media. It is not just in this country alone. It's power of expression is second only to the human voice.
It is such a remarkable and versatile instrument. What she is doing with the accordion is beautifully displaying it’s musical importance. She is absolutely amazing!
The theme is about a street boy who sells flowers in the restaurants in the theater area of Buenos Aires located on Corrientes Avenue. Bachín was a restaurant located on the northern (odd) sidewalk of Sarmiento Street (parallel to a block from Corrientes) almost on the corner of Montevideo, between this street and Rodríguez Peña. The restaurant was part of the New Market of Buenos Aires and was demolished, like most of that block, to build Paseo La Plaza, but in the same place another restaurant has been built that bears the name "Bachín". The boy who sold flowers in Bachín was called Pablo Alberto González and he was 11 years old at the time. In 1970 Siete Días magazine interviewed him: -Did you always sell flowers? -Before I worked opening and closing taxi doors, until a friend, about three years ago, told me to sell flowers, that I would earn more. I am the only one of my brothers who works, because they are too young. My mother also works: she cleans in some bars. -Where you live? -In a pension, in Charcas and Alem, we have a large room. -Did you know that Piazzolla and Ferrer were making a song for you? -Yes, because the night I met them in Bachín they told me that I was a nice kid and that they would tango me, but I had to continue behaving well. Then they premiered the tango in my house. That night they brought cakes and drinks. They had a very big party, and my mother prepared and decorated the entire house for when they arrived. Then they played it at the Regina theater and they invited us there too. That night I sang several songs and the audience applauded me a lot. -Do you like Chiquilín de Bachín? -I like it a lot. The cutest part is the one that says: "Angelito with a dirty face and sells flowers at the Bachín bowling alley, shoot me with three roses the hunger that I understood you." -Do you understand what it means? -No, but I like it anyway. -How many hours do you work? What do you do with that money? What do you do when you are not working or at school? -I work from 12 at night to 6 in the morning, and the money I earn I give to my mother. They don't always buy roses from me, but when it's a couple I tell them: "Hey, black man( "negro"), buy me a bouquet for your beloved," and if she refuses I tell her: "And you, precious, won't you buy me?" So, before getting too hot, the guy takes out the money and buys me. Sometimes people recognize me, they say "Bye, little boy from Bachín." When I'm not working I play soccer with my friends in the parking lot in Charcas, almost next to the port.3 Lyrics: At night, dirty face Little angel with blue jeans Sell roses on the tables From the Bachín bowling alley If the moon shines On the grill Eat moon and soot bread Every day in its sadness That doesn't want to dawn He gets up early on January 6th With the upside down star And three cat kings They steal your shoes One left and the other too Chiquilin Give me a bouquet of voice This is how I go out to sell My shame in bloom Shoot me with three roses Let them hurt on account Of hunger that I did not understand you Chiquilin When the sun sets the kids Learning Aprons he learns how much zero It remained for him to know And he looks at his mother I will hurt you, But he doesn't want to see her Every day, in the trash With a bread and a noodle A kite is made To leave and stay here He is a strange man thousand year old child That the piolin entangles him inside

Lyrics:
At night, dirty face
Little angel with blue jeans
Sell roses on the tables
From the Bachín bowling alley
If the moon shines
On the grill
Eat moon and soot bread
Every day in its sadness
That doesn't want to dawn
He gets up early on January 6th
With the upside down star
And three cat kings
They steal your shoes
One left and the other too
Chiquilin
Give me a bouquet of voice
This is how I go out to sell
My shame in bloom
Shoot me with three roses
Let them hurt on account
Of hunger that I did not understand you
Chiquilin
When the sun sets the kids
Learning Aprons
he learns how much zero
It remained for him to know
And he looks at his mother
I will hurt you,
But he doesn't want to see her
Every day, in the trash
With a bread and a noodle
A kite is made
To leave and stay here
He is a strange man
thousand year old child
That the piolin entangles him inside
Love Piazolla and love this perfomance. Superb!!!
Love
