    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
    I've been looking for accurate information for a long time on how to maintain the H80i V2.
    Congratulations on the video!

    Great guide. Mine just started acting up after 7 years. Probably just clogged up as well. Will have to give it a try.

    That copper base seems to be as smooth as a baby's bum. Well done old boy. BTW like the background music excellent compared to the very loud garbage one encounters on a lot of videos.

    Feels like sand because it is sand. The additive package they use in these is the same you find in a glycol/silica based antifreeze for a car. Exposure to high heat causes the Silica ( another term for sand ) to drop out of solution and form particles that clog the cooling fins.
    I have a factory sealed H80i Version 1 I installed in 2014 and It's just become clogged today so I'll be taking it apart and flushing it and removing the clog. For coolant I'll use filtered water and 1/2 an ounce of VP racing brand Madditive inhibitor as it contains no dissolved sands and protects all metals from galvanic corrosion.
    Noticed a performance problem while playing a very low performance requirement game.

    I wonder how solder flux and a heat gun would work for cleaning the copper?

    hi, i hope you answer me, so i have a corsair h100i gtx and it share the same copper plate with the same gasket, and i ask you when you remove the gasket from the copper after when you assemble that plate do you put some glue or something between gasket and copper? thanks

    • @Soooperspeed
      @Soooperspeed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there yes they share the same parts only the radiator is different... And no the rubber just needs warming up in warm water and then cleaned it self seals when reinstalled .. it's only stuck when you take it apart due too pressure compressing the rubber on manufacture ... Hope that helps .. please please please tho run the cooler outside the pc and test that it doesn't leak before reusing it .. common sense I know but has too be said .. thank you for your question

    • @raeyyett2996

      Also is the toothpaste necessary / very specific or will scrubbing with the toothbrush and water be good enough

    • @Soooperspeed
      @Soooperspeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ok any decent toothpaste works ( use with water is fine distilled water is better ) .. it's the gritty Ness of it that does the work cleaning ... so any tooth whitening one .... And for refilling the AIO I suggest distilled water .. and some cheap biocide inhibitor ... Or you could buy all in one ready coolant clear from Corsair or Ek the ready too use stuff .... Both will work great ... I hope this helps .. was a long reply sorry

    Now I dont know what to do.I have H115i v2 and performs terrible.Had 6700k until few days ago and it was hot(lol, the cooler was bad) and now with 10700k when I saw on stock speeds I get 90c I knew something is wrong so I bought Artic freezer 2 3 days ago and its night and day. Corsair can cool 130w,it gets to 95c lol.Artic on 200w is not close to 90c so something is wrong.I have warranty still but now after your video I'm so tempted to open it and see wth is wrong

    • @Soooperspeed
      @Soooperspeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ye it's very likely too have gunk in the CPU plate .. I have found its common on these .. if it's in warranty get it replaced if they refuse too replace it you can still open it then without worry and clean it then .. glad too hear your temps are under control tho , tho thing worse than overheating issues

    this liquid is simple water?

    • @Soooperspeed
      @Soooperspeed  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's very likely distilled water , biocide , anti corrosion inhibitor and glycol .. not straight water because the pump cold plate is copper and the radiator is aluminium .. this would be bad for galvanic corrosion without inhibitors but you water is 97 percent the main ingredient .
