Really excited to share with you the new Co-Lab video! 3 to date have been made, the first one was an Asking Alexandria Co-Lab, the second a Lab Of God, and now a Judith Co-Lab! this feels a bit more unique to me. You guys know this was my first EVER drum cover. When I was 24, in my bedroom, cut short when my neighbor started screaming at me to shut the f*ck up - tho in his defense I didn’t even bother closing the window shut lol. well we’ve come a long way, thank the drum lords for my 24/7 studio, and my patrons who really allowed me to take things to the next level.
So how did this come to life? Sterling R Jackson aka Ravi emailed me saying he would love to collaborate on something, I know him through Doc, you guys know Doc, he was my guitarist, we toured together and he’s one of my all-time favorite people. At the time, Doc started his own passion project and Sterling R Jackson was/is his lead singer in his band Vagus Nerve. so we figured Doc is the obvious choice for guitar for this co-lab. And since Doc knows literally everyone in the music industry, he casually brought in Aaron Bruch bassist of Breaking Benjamin and Mark Vollelunga guitarist from Nothing More to fill in the spots. Super honored to be virtually playing with this bunch of ultra talented people.. I think this came out pretty special!

What breaks Judith covers for me personally is the voice - Maynard's vocals are so burned into my brain that it's hard to listen to anyone else performing Judith. This wasn't hard to listen to at all, quite the opposite. Great job everyone!
Yeah I have the same issue with people covering Maynards voice. But he did a good job here.
They chose the bassist for that specific reason, to keep Maynard attached to the cover somehow.
Though funny to see Howard Jones on guitar... he kicked ass.

The essence of the song is there and that's what any good cover should have. No one should try to completely replicate the original. What would be the point of trying to make a piece of music that is identical to the original?

I don't know how I missed this 5 months ago but it's fantastic. Judith is one of my favorite perfect circle songs and I believe one of Maynard's best vocals along with three Libras. Sterling nails the vocals here! Unbelievable! And of course the heavy hitters on instruments all were fantastic! Meytal reaching back to the early days on this one I love it!

As a 30-year vocalist in local bands in my area,
In cover bands and original's me and my wife sat down to listen to this and we both were 💯% blown away. Meytal you are a clock, And your timing is impeccable. The rest of the band sounds amazing, and covering Tool is no easy task. I forgot to look to see who the lead singers name was but bro when you started singing you gave me and the wife chills. We were fortunate enough about 8 years ago to see tool in concert, and they were amazing. Just wanted to say that you guys sounded really good can't wait to hear some originals. R&R
