Hunting provides a great source of food for scavenging wildlife, but when remains left in the field contain lead fragments there can be unintended consequences. Lead ammunition is known to fragment when striking an animal. Because lead is a poison, there are serious health consequences for wildlife that ingest these tiny fragments. Fortunately there is an ever growing list of options of non-lead ammunition available.
