yes you're absolutely right.this is definitely 1 of the greatest Slayer Songs of all!and your reactions are almost the same like me.all the time when I've heard these Songs for the 1rst time 2 that you've posted already!and by the way:You're so simpathic and you look so beautiful.just WOW!!!!!please keep going that way and stay who you are.don't change anything!!!!!Greetings from Germany :-)
I'm glad I stumbled across your videos. Love seeing people's reactions especially to the timeless metal classics. You grinned ear to ear on the breakdown :) Subbed
I cannot express how awesome it was to watch the expectation and excitement on your face as you listed to each section of this song for the first time. This music isn't for everyone but for those that give it a chance, many are never the same again. Love your channel and keep it going. Watching you listen to these songs almost takes me back to when I heard them for the first time.
Im a die hard metal head. \m/ its bad ass to see someone actually taking the time to do reactions. The smile you get from metal is amazing. True metal love. I subscribed keep it up!
The entire Reign in Blood record. Saw them live in 87. They can indeed play this live, and generates near riot like conditions. if you want to see them live, track them now, maybe only one tour left in them. Original guitar and main songwriting force, Jeff Hanneman, passed away a couple years ago, along with the original drummer, Dave Lombardo. Who is actually very influential in the bands sound. but they have extremely capable replacements. I love your reaction. You have an entire decade of music to discover.
Just Imagine going back and hearing Reign In Blood for the 1st time again. Congrats Pink Metalhead, you just heard one of the most influential songs in metal of all time.
Pinkmetalhead. I was fortunate enough to see Slayer on this iconic tour in Chicago in November of 1986. I was only 15 yrs old and this album hadn't been out that long. Back then I was a HUGE Slayer fan. They performed this entire album except for one song "Epidemic" was a monumental concert and they kicked major ASS!!
Love the channel. Seeing your honest reaction to songs that I've often take for granted brings a new level of appreciation to the songs. That being said, "Reign in Blood" is an album that is best experienced in its totality. It's not necessarily a "concept" album, but it's an album that flows seamlessly from song to song. Many of the songs don't even have pauses separating them, or short pauses before blasting into the next assault. "Raining Blood" is best experienced when listening to "Post Mortem" the song that precedes it. It might be worth it to do a reaction to the whole album, heck it's under 30 minutes from "Angel of Death" to "Raining Blood".
Yes! Thank you for reacting to more Slayer. It's one of my absolute favorite bands. Please do more and also a live performance of this song, as you mentioned.
Wow... you summed it up perfectly. You are clearly feeling it as I did when I first heard this band. A beautiful thing to see. thanks for posting.Iv seen slayer perform the whole of the reign in blood Album live and I can tell you that they sound as good as the record if not better.
I hate reaction channels usually. But I like yours. Because you actually give a reaction. You don't just watch some body else's video and then promote your social media. Great channel. Subbed.
Just showing support for your channel yo! It's awesome that you covered Slayer. Love them. More importantly, it sounds like you have a cold. Take care of yourself. :)
I've seen Slayer 8 different times live, and they kill it every time. They are still out there doing it. Hell they just performed Raining Blood on Jimmy Fallen recently. Keep rockin'! \,,/
For Slayer - an often overlooked one comes right before this song on the album..... Postmortem. The groove is fucking badass. *You should see Raining Blood from their live DVD when they literally had red water raining down on them with crazy lighting. It was pure evil. \m/
Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour ....Pink,. the. people. have. spoken.. Nevermind. all. that. trash. metal. below
you're preaching to the converted! I didn't mean the rest of M-Deth was trash. Meant some of the other bands listed that M-Deth would be embarrassed & ashamed to have to play a show with.
Okay I'll give you Peace Sells as the better one. I mean you got Devil's Island, The MUTHA-FUCKIN Conjuring, Wake Up Dead, and plus all that experimental B-Side thrash genius, where many of the RYTHIMS exceed (what are meant to be) typical technical metal solo status quo in complexity of other bands. Still love me some So Far So Good though. It lost points for me when, after I assured everyone w/ absolute conviction that "weeds once underneath our feet would grow into vines [etc.]" in 1989, and neither that nor a single case of children being born "open-fisted" (whatever that meant) seemed inclined to kindly herald the end of the world & prove Dave right. Hey, I was 12, and a staunch member of the Megadeth camp.
I have seen this performed live, when Jeff Hanneman was still with us (RIP). I was honestly surprised not to see heads exploding and arcs of electricity from my fellow headbangers!
Great Reaction PinkMetalHead :) There is another request from me :) The band called "HIM" and the song is "Join Me In Death" There should be a music video on TH-cam for the reaction :)
Subbed to your channel, watched you also on livestream ( live)..being a musician for since lil girl then in teens did the whole oops signed a contract & etc..then went on & still do many music( many different genres of projects)..The guys in Slayer are very friendly & funny[lots of sweat], as was on tour with them(with my..ex-husbands band)..anyway..Slayer( admired since a child bc of being so out there & different).. is one of a kind band..they surpass this live..to be on stage & feel the energy from the musician through the instruments..Glad you enjoyed this video, as I did too..Also really love that you tell the truth of your opinions, many people who do reactions to music videos..are just there to do it & not really listen to the many sounds that come through to others..bc def. have seen reaction music& will not not names of channels but..why do it?Ratings or to whatever the reason being.. stephopal opal Hello lovely! Thanks for your comment. I think it’s amazing how you went on tour with them!! I’m sure you have some amazing stories to tell...and memories that you will never forget! That’s so awesome. But yea..I’m very impressed with Slayer so far and i can’t wait to listen to an entire project from them. I try to be as honest as possible with my comments. I’ve gotten a little criticism from some of my honest comments in the past...but i rather be honest than just say the popular opinion that everyone else has, you know? I appreciate the love so much! PinkMetalHead yes, on tour with them very many times & many others,[ as many are my friends] will share your channel with them& tell them to subb!! Still on many tours, but yes..book full of jamming with many bands in brain, its music..and either create music or listen to music..its all good..even just the sound of chimes in a tree& frogs & crickets singing ..music.. ( hope that doesnt sound sorta weird)..yes, many bands have played in & still do& under various names..certain reasons..but also have written for other bands & great to hear it go to listening of ears & vibes& to ine another to create so many memories, like right now..Gotta play some piano & then guitar& vocals etc.. Thank you for your very sweet reply & Have a wonderful day!!Very much love your channel& hope is okay that really think how beautiful you are..great eyes & bone structure..also, I am an artist so..most beings I see the art in& trees & love treehouses!! This Song along with Angel Of Death are their 2 most known songs and kickass songs to say the least .Actually got to see them live last month and it was so worth it .Suggest watching Body Count's cover of this song as there is a video for it . peace and outta here.
They did this live on the Jimmy Fallon show a few months ago. Also look up QOTSA Mexicola, Radio Head Optimistic also live from the basement and Chris Cornell Seasons live. It might make you cry tho.
Not only do they play this song perfectly at every show they play, but in all my concert going years I've seen a mosh pit explode like when this song comes on. Great choice for a Slayer song. It was the first Slayer song I ever heard!
In her head, it's one-third tempo. Same as it is in mine, Tom's, Kerry's, and so on. If we couldn't groove to the bluesy part, where would the fun be? She gets it, for sure.
everytime i listen to raining blood i have to listen to postmortem before it! just flows perfectly on the album! thanks for checking this love your videos!!
Slayer is an amazing band!!! My favorite song, and album, of theirs is called "South of Heaven. it's kind of a heavy-metal concept album: it shows that all the worst things we fear about Hell are right here around us on Earth. It's super heavy, but has a definite "groove" to the album that their others don't. ("silent Scream" and "Dissident Aggressor" are other great songs on that album!!!)
Glad you enjoyed this track by Slayer. There are so many other great ones to check out by them. If you are looking for some other talent then check out Unleash the Archers. Some recommended tracks by them Tonight We Ride, Cleanse the Bloodlines, The Awakening (Full band play through).
"Reign in Blood!" Is my favorite! The spelling is R•e•i•g•n meaning Blood is ruling. Blood is everywhere. Blood Reigns the world to put it simply. Although it's "raining" blood as well hahaha! Everytime I saw them live they perform this under red lights only! It's sick!
Early Slayer really is iconic. The albums "Reign in Blood" by Slayer (1986), "Bonded by Blood" by Exodus (1985) and "Seven Churches" by Possessed (1985) are, to me, the roots of the death metal genre. Younger bands looking up to the masters of dark thrash just went a step farther in pushing the extremes of speed and satanic imagery. As a side note, I found your channel just a few days ago and I love your enthusiasm about metal. I've spent too many years working with black folks who referred to my favorite music as "creepy devil music for white dudes". Seeing a young black woman getting into it gives me a bit of hope for the future.
Live this is amazing...especially when it was performed while it literally rained blood on them...of course fake blood but hella killer! Ya def have to check it out
A song that really typifies middle era Slayer is Silent Scream, from the album South of Heaven. It's a tour de force on the drums by Dave Lombardo. Only a touch slower than the material on Reign In Blood, but it has a more pronounced melodic line. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/I8xNoDZ2wV0/w-d-xo.html
Ocean Machine is one of his best side projects I promise (I have them all). Try listening to (pardon my language) the song called 'Bastard' by Ocean Machine -it's about as epic as he's done. Especially the riff at about 6:45 into the song -wow!
Not only can Slayer play this song live, I doubt they've done a concert in the last 30 years where they didn't play it. It is their definitive song and album.
if you like this one,you should listen to the whole album...when i heard it the first time it completely blew me away and still does and it's from 1986!!
Queens of the Stone Age - In The Fade Mark Lanegan - I’ll Take Care of You Mark Lanegan sings on both these tracks and has one of the most unique voices ever! Blind Melon - Change Blind Melon - Mouthful of Cavities Shannon Hoon was such an incredible singer and songwriter and died way too early! Should check out both of these talented singers!
4:48 That's Reign In Blood in a nutshell. Slayer brought Rick Rubin (a hip-hop producer) on board before putting this album together in 1986. Not only he help bring their sound quality up significantly, he helped get it through to them that less is more and you don't need to chug and repeat the same bridge and verse 500 times like they did on their previous album and every other metal band was doing at the time. Get in, make your point, get out. The entire album is 28:58 long. The whole thing fit on one side of the cassettes they used back then.
Lol....you had me lmao the whole song by your facial expressions. I truly was thinking you were hating the song & thinking how much longer is this!!! Then the review came. I'm happy you liked Raining Blood. THAT to me...to me, my own personal beliefs...is the true Slayer. Jeff, R.I.P dude, your sorely missed & let's not forget Dave Lombardo, who hasn't passed, but it is a death in the family. Dude had the fastest double base in the 80's. Sidetrack, sorry. To see them now would be great. I Myself, would go to a show today, but the real feel of Slayer is gone forever. The original 4 is unmatched by any other lineup they had & that's a fact. Especially live. Your review was killer. Very, very cool. THANK YOU ☠METAL IS STILL ALIVE ☠
Ghosts of War - off of South of Heaven , if you like zombie movies there's Live Undead from that album, and Silent Scream, a song about abortion from the fetuses perspective from the same album. Enjoy
Even if people don't like metal and most of them that don't like it don't give it a chance and if you like rock and roll that they consider heavy on the radio you can't help but love Raining Blood it is such a powerful Awesome song
I so agree with you. Modern bands, even metal ones can't compete with Slayer. They are up there with Iron Maiden. I am proud to say I know all their songs by heart except for the latest album. I am glad you see how amazing they are. Sometimes even metalheads fail to see how epic slayer is.
She listened to this and angel of death back to back on one of her livestreams , it seemed to me she prefered Angel of death over this . Please do Funeral Hymm reaction Pink
yes you're absolutely right.this is definitely 1 of the greatest Slayer Songs of all!and your reactions are almost the same like me.all the time when I've heard these Songs for the 1rst time 2 that you've posted already!and by the way:You're so simpathic and you look so beautiful.just WOW!!!!!please keep going that way and stay who you are.don't change anything!!!!!Greetings from Germany :-)
one of the pioneers of speed/death metal. this band is plenty complex, superfast and raw yet crystal clear. not all blurred together. fave metal band.
I'm glad I stumbled across your videos. Love seeing people's reactions especially to the timeless metal classics.

ronald Williams no way!!! Whoa
PinkMetalHead yes way lol no bullshit it's sick!
I was just gonna say the same, that's a reaction I'd wanna see.
That’s from still reigning. Where they play the whole album in all its abyssmal splendour
You need to see Slayer live. I've seen Slayer live and this is the song that they always play live. It's even better live.
sadly she's missed the chance to see Slayer at their best since Jeff's death and Dave's falling out with everyone.
I’ve seen SSSSSLLLLLAAAAAYYYYYEEEERRR!!!!! Live in Honolulu, front stage, open floor. LOVE them \m/
You should really listen to their songs War Ensemble. It's off the Seasons in the Abyss album. Amazing song. You've Got to hear it
One of their best songs.

I wish you'd have been there 30+ years ago, I'd have really enjoyed bringing you to these shows as they came out and blowing your mind as mine was!
Great reaction! Great selection. One of my favorite Slayers songs is piece by piece.
Wow... you summed it up perfectly.
You are clearly feeling it as I did when I first heard this band. A beautiful thing to see. thanks for posting.Iv seen slayer perform the whole of the reign in blood Album live and I can tell you that they sound as good as the record if not better.

Just showing support for your channel yo! It's awesome that you covered Slayer. Love them. More importantly, it sounds like you have a cold. Take care of yourself. :)
Thanks for your impressions.
Slayer is hard to digest for most on their first listen.
You handled this one with grace.
Props.
I've seen Slayer 8 different times live, and they kill it every time. They are still out there doing it. Hell they just performed Raining Blood on Jimmy Fallen recently. Keep rockin'! \,,/

The groove is fucking badass.

The greatest metal song!!! Love your taste in videos
Great Reaction PinkMetalHead :) There is another request from me :) The band called "HIM" and the song is "Join Me In Death" There should be a music video on TH-cam for the reaction :)
Controlled chaos was happening, lol ;) Good reaction, I enjoyed that!

They did this live on the Jimmy Fallon show a few months ago. Also look up QOTSA Mexicola, Radio Head Optimistic also live from the basement and Chris Cornell Seasons live. It might make you cry tho.
I saw them live last November. I left with a concussion cause of the moshpit but the concert was amazing!
Not only do they play this song perfectly at every show they play, but in all my concert going years I've seen a mosh pit explode like when this song comes on. Great choice for a Slayer song. It was the first Slayer song I ever heard!

I LOVE that you're using Dev's song as your main tunage!
They've performed this live where they actually have it raining blood on them as the play it.
Raining Blood is an iconic Slayer song. If you get a chance, listen to "At Dawn They Sleep", from an older album.
favorite song - impossible to choose BTW your assement is spot on
Hey pink, you look beautiful as always. And react to jinger "words of wisdom"
Jinjer is coming to the u.s with cradle of filth I'm seeing them April in nyc

You said it girl. It's special!
It was amazing to see them (the original line up) play it. Hail Hanneman!
Slayer - Decade Of Aggression (Live) it has the track raining blood on it.... very good
Love this song and love how you get into it.
YAYYYY! Shes a Devin Townsend fan! That was 'Kingdom' at the start there right? Have you heard 'Ocean Machine'?
I love Devin! And never heard that song :)
Ocean Machine is one of his best side projects I promise (I have them all). Try listening to (pardon my language) the song called 'Bastard' by Ocean Machine -it's about as epic as he's done. Especially the riff at about 6:45 into the song -wow!
I like so much your videos, thanks From Brazil!
Not only can Slayer play this song live, I doubt they've done a concert in the last 30 years where they didn't play it. It is their definitive song and album.
if you like this one,you should listen to the whole album...when i heard it the first time it completely blew me away and still does and it's from 1986!!
love you pink :) SLLLLAAAAYYEEERRR \m/
SLAYEERRRRR many I so love this channel :)
Queens of the Stone Age - In The Fade
Mark Lanegan - I’ll Take Care of You
Mark Lanegan sings on both these tracks and has one of the most unique voices ever!

Blind Melon - Mouthful of Cavities

Should check out both of these talented singers!

My favorite Slayer song. Absolute BEAST mode.
Ghosts of War - off of South of Heaven , if you like zombie movies there's Live Undead from that album, and Silent Scream, a song about abortion from the fetuses perspective from the same album. Enjoy
Ya gotta do Spirit In Black and Spill The Blood, if not already done, as those are really awesome songs too, you won't be disappointed
Try Entombed's Left Hand Path or Godflesh's Streetcleaner - both were amazing and ahead of their time
Awesome, next to this word in the dictionary, should be a pic of the band SLAYER.. rock on!
Even if people don't like metal and most of them that don't like it don't give it a chance and if you like rock and roll that they consider heavy on the radio you can't help but love Raining Blood it is such a powerful Awesome song
I'm so proud of you!!!!!!
I so agree with you. Modern bands, even metal ones can't compete with Slayer. They are up there with Iron Maiden. I am proud to say I know all their songs by heart except for the latest album. I am glad you see how amazing they are. Sometimes even metalheads fail to see how epic slayer is.
Always thought it would be awesome for a closer in baseball to come out to this
You are listening to an anthem so stand up and put your hand on your heart girl.
Very cool. Its £60+ for a ticket to see them live in Glasgow UK. Thats about $80. Would you pay that?
Pink you're sooo cool! Rock on!
best slayer song, but congratz being so beautiful
Creeping Death Metallica Please!!!.
You're gorgeous! Good reaction!
True speed metal classic. Slayer birthed this monster in '86, and it is still relevant.
She listened to this and angel of death back to back on one of her livestreams , it seemed to me she prefered Angel of death over this . Please do Funeral Hymm reaction Pink
The whole album is only 35min long. There is a live anniversary show of the whole album. This album is from 1985.
They can and do play this song at that level. Check out their live performance at the big 4.
They performed this song live recently on the late show. its on youtube check it out
You should react to Tonight We Ride by Unleash the Archers
Suicidal Tendencies, you can't bring me down.
heck yeee
Slayer has a lot of songs that don't mess around. Exile is one of my favorites.

The album is 30 mins long, its non stop from opening to end. Love it, changed the game when it came out.
