    They definitely planted all of the seeds for an Avengers style AC crossover game with Connor, Arno, Aveline, and Shay. Even the books build up to it, which makes it all the more frustrating that it didn't happen. In Unity's novel, Arno learns about Connor, Edward, Haytham, and Jennifer after reading Élise's journals. It ends with Arno being in possession of Haytham's letters about unifying the two sides and the Templar necklace that Haytham gifted to Jennifer (the one you see Arno holding in Unity's key art).
    Arno basically has Kenway heirlooms right now, yet we'll never get to see him interact with Connor. 😔 AC games are so distant from each other in terms of the timeline now that there's basically zero crossover potential like there once was with AC3 through Unity (short of having Kassandra pop up in more games).

    BRO!
    ive imagined an AC5 where Arno comes to the US in hunt for Shay, while Shay is hunting Connor (not knowing he's Haytham's son while trying to avenge him). At the same time Connor is trying to settle down at the Davenport Homestead while helping Aveline with some of her missions. Craziest part is ive been calling it AC VENGANCE cuz u know AC5 or ACV as well XDXD .

      game play can be like
      Connor the one man army (focused on fighting)
      Arno the parkour devil (quick movement and parkour skills are next level)
      and Aveline the stealthy assassin! (stealth based like a proper ninja).
      FINAL BATTLE WILL BE LIKE A 3v1 where its a final showdown between the 3 assassins and the templar grand knight SHAY!!!

    • @AhmadWahelsa
      @AhmadWahelsa 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      In my head the alternate version of this is just Arno as the player, but we can influence his decisions, whether he sides more toward Shay or Connor, it will extremely similiar to RDR or Fallout morality system, the game only shows dialogues choices during crucial plot moments, this should be the way AC games should go if they want it to go RPG, some missions will have 2 options, peacefully talking, convincing, manipulation or agreeing (Templar path), or intimidation, scaring off the target into hiding, or the good-old assassination (Assassins path), or if the missions specifies that the target must be taken down, we can do a public execution (Templar path) or stealth assassination (Assassins path). There is no clear indication which ending is the best, it's up to player.
      The story are basically the same, but do we agree with Shay that Assassin's are causing more havoc and total freedom just sounds stupid? or are we agreeing with Connor that Templar's are controlling people's lives even further that they are basically building a world with ears and eyes everywhere?

    -Bayek and Aya being older Assassins
    -Black Flag Secuel
    -What happened to Juno and Miles son Elijah

    The biggest problem with meeting the mentioned 4 is the age of each of the characters, especially Shay. (As of 1795: Connor is 39 years old, Aveline- 58, Shay- 64, and Arno is only 27) So unless the creators sent Arno to the United States as soon as possible, I doubt he would make it before the assassin hunter's natural death.

    • @huyvouc9785
      @huyvouc9785 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It is canon that Shay lives on until he die due to natural death in his 80s, so I don't think that age is much of a problem here. And remember, he trained his son and other Hunter Templars, so even if he is old, he still have a small group of well-trained hunters working directly under his command. Not to mention in other AC games, there are plenty Templars that lives on over 70s, Rodrigo Borgia in AC2 for example (remember the fist fight between him and Ezio?).

  • @huyvouc9785
    @huyvouc9785 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Here's my idea of a game featuring the sequel to Arno and Shay story. After finishing both Rogue and Unity, I feel a BIG Wasted Potential on an AC game featured 2 previous protagonists on 2 opposite sides. For example, it took place in the Napoleonic War, with both the Templars and the Assassins ultimate goal is to stop Napoleon, but both sides have different means to achieve that goal and try to gain an upper hand over the opposite factions.
    Shay is now old, but he has trained a group of Templar Hunters specialized in countering assassin's tactics. Those Hunters can be a special type of enemies that actively hunting Arno and strongly resist some tools like smoke bombs and hidden blade kill (someone like the Shakiriyya in Mirage), which force Arno to rely more on creative environment kill tactics. Since this is a 3-sides war between the Assassins, Templars and Napoleon armies, the player can lure the mobs from the other 2 sides into fighting, or maybe even suggest a temporary alliance with 1 other side in some missions. Since the Templars led by Shay also increase their impact by helping the locals, normal folks NPCs under the Templar area will also actively help them by calling Hunters everytime they see an assassin, or fighting along side them depends on Arno's notority. To counter that, Arno and the Brotherhood must also actively increase their fame by helping the locals and assassinate high profile targets that under Shay's command. Also, there should be an ambush mechanic like in Rogue to make the map more immersive. The kidnapping mechanic in Syndicate is also a nice addition, since it helps Arno sneaking more effectively in Templar's area. To improve the stealth even more, I suggest the interrogation mechanic where the player can interrogate mobs so that they can give info on the high-profile targets locations.
    Arno motive in this game would first be helping the Brotherhood to stop Napoleon, then finding the answer for his father's death, but not for revenge, he only want an explanation from Shay. As for Shay, his motive would be killing Napoleon and bring back the Eden artifact to the Templars side, so he would think that Arno is a dangerous Assassin that wants the Artifact for the Brotherhood own interest and neglect the danger it may pose, then at the end of the game he discovered that Arno is the child of the man he killed years before
    As for Connor and Aveline, they would appear later in the story, and their role is something like how Haytham appears in Rogue. They will help the Brotherhood to fight off the sudden attack of Napoleon army and the Templars. I don't think that Connor will interfere with the battle between Arno and Shay, since he wants Arno to find the answer for himself, like how he came to realization after Haytham's death.

  • @verdun16
    @verdun16 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Biggest missed opportunity will always be not giving Arno and Connor a game. Arno and Connor versus Shay would be so damn good.
    It could be like Eveline introduces Arno to Connor, Connor comes to Europe, and they work together in the Napoleonic Wars to kill Shay.

    I think one of the biggest missed opportunities in assassin's creed history was not making Origins take place in the bronze age because if it did there could be stories about the bronze age collapse with the event being the biggest failure of the brotherhood, or a story taking place near the beginning of Rome showing that it was founded by Templars, and many more story opportunities are lost now

    Honestly I played Origins, AC1, Ac3 and AC4:BFlag....and it was very werid how abruptly the act of Desmond dying was almost like a inferred idea to make him come back in future titles. Like AC Black Flag had a werid vibe when I was playing, where they kept giving information on Desmond and made me think of why they were.
    Desmond's original pitch sounds insane in a good way.

    Master assessin, please do some real research! Samuel Fey is Jacob frye. Only the name is different, and actualy there is no evidence to support the idea Jacob would've been called Samuel, just a leak from the says of Unity. Also, the victorian era wasn't all doom and gloom. Dishonored isn't real history, you know....
    That said, Victory would've been amazing! I will highlight however, victory was more like base game syndicate than that terribly written ripper dlc. In fact victory was tue same story as syndicate but slightly different in areas, including evie not being playable, as she was Jacob's mentor and part of her narrative role was replaced by pearl in the final version of the game Jacob was possibly called samuel, however that was a leak that never got proven correct or otherwise, so it is still more valid to call the victory protagonist Jacob considering they have the same basic story and the same appearance in the rendered images you can find. Had victory been like the ripper dlc, it would've been bad, if I'm honest. That dlc had a very badly written narrative, evie was dull and out of place in the narrative, as usual. Jack sounded and looked very silly, and really it wasn't proper assassin's creed. It didn't feature any ISU nor any templars to defeat. The ripper dlc is the first thing loke the new games, and syndicate is the last one like the old games. This is also reflected by the fact that the last project to feature anyone from the original creative team, was syndicate, and only Jacob's story was written by the old writers.

    For me Ubisoft did all the set up for their equivalent of the Avengers crossover with Connor and Arno and Aveline vs Shay and then just never made it. I will die on this hill! A game where the trio meet up to hunt down Shay only to fail and have his child hunt them down across the Napoleonic wars there is near infinite potential for this story I really can’t fathom how Ubisoft missed this, it should have been the inevitable peak to their stories and they utterly failed to deliver it makes me so sad we never got this game.
    Generally speaking I think Ubisoft is missing a trick by not giving us sequels in this franchise anymore, so many people go on about Ezio and his games for a reason! Even if not a direct sequel with the same character they could have an Assassin a few decades later thinking about the legacy of those before them as they struggle against the Templars, or have the same setting such as a London or wherever duology/trilogy set in Tudor/Stewart/Georgian times, or follow a piece of Eden around the globe as different people interact with it like Chronicles but better. They are really failing at developing their stories and characters which is so sad because they accomplished this so well in the Ezio trilogy and Kenway saga

    I think that despite being hated initially, I think Connor deserved another game, people complain that he didn't develop and while I disagree with that, I do think that his arc was definitely incomplete at the end of AC3, and getting more of him would have been really interesting, I also really wish we got a game set in Mongolia in the middle ages, so much so that I actually began writing a story for a potential game in that era, unfortunately though, I know Ubisoft well, and if we do someday get that game, it will probably be another massive RPG with little focus on the actual assassins. But the biggest mistake to me was switching to the RPG genre in general. That single handedly dismantled the brand that I loved and turned Assassin's Creed into the Trainwreck of a franchise that it is today, and I don't think it will ever get better, because Ubisoft seems to only be concerned with making money resulting in little care towards the actual quality of the product they produced

    A lot of very big missed opportunities for excellent games are all the assassin's creed comics that hold such great stories but never were actually made into games. If they wished to make a full on Templar focused game, the story of Assassin's Creed Templar is literally perfect and available for use, going after Albert Bolden as the Black Cross, who plays and acts just like an assassin, going after corruption in the order. Another missed opportunity is Charlotte De La Cruz as a modern protagonist. Her story is great, and is a much better character than Layla that deserved her own games. Following her story from Assassin's Creed (2015) and AC Uprising she has plenty of ancestors to explore and a compelling modern day with actually interesting plot points. And the last and most obvious one, is Assassin's Creed Uprising as a whole, which is about Juno's return, the literal big bad they had been hyping for 9 games, just to have her make her return in a comic series. AC Uprising is great, and it should be made into a game, but Ubisoft doesn't seem big on going back in time in terms of the modern day, only wanting to go further and further ahead, which means we likely won't get any comic adaptations anytime soon.

    Why just... WHY!? Why is it that early Alpha/Beta version of the Assassin's Creed looks way MORE BETTER looking than the final version of the games.
    These examples here: Assassin's Creed Mirage, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed 3 and Syndicate/Victory. We were ROBBED of different potential views of the games if UBISOFT 😡💢 hadn't SCREWED up the franchise so badly.

    for me, the biggest MISSED opportunity has to be Unity CO-OP, man... I really loved the concept shown in the E3 gameplay trailers, finally we would play as a BROTHERHOOD, finally the Creed doing big missions to kill important targets, since Ezio created the brotherhood and used other assassins to help him in combat I always wanted something close, but in the end Unity's multiplayer was fun, but not a complete experience, and after Unity's problematic launch they threw the idea in the trash, unfortunately

    That way fans can chosse to be Assassins or Templar!

    If Desmond had all the abilities of assassins. Heck even if it was just the first 3 Altair, Ezio and Connor. He would be unstoppable. Especially if he use the apple. The wisdom, leadership and 92 years of experience of Altair. The skill, knowledge and versatility of Ezio. The hurting skills, physical strength and pain tolerance of Connor. Might be better than Batman.

    There's a remaster of AC IV been made. AC III also got a "remaster", ACU still in the mind of everyone and Rogue... yeah it's okay. They could pull off an AC with all of them today, specially using the "return to roots" shit they like so much to hype everyone. I don't think they ever will, but it is doable.
    The real reason why AC misses so much opportunities is clear: they produce at LEAST two ACs at the same time, in two completely different studios. When AC stops been Ubisoft's CoD, if that day ever comes and if they don't kill the franchise if it comes to that, then we might start seen an Assassin's Creed which rewards us for keeping it up with all their different plots.

    I’m gonna get so much hate for this take but please read it with an open mind😢😅
    Kassandra deserves her own series. Yes I said it. They opened up the Isu lore with AC Odyssey. We learn with/through Kassandra that the various “gods” in mythology are Isu (as seen with the Greeks and Norse) and how they handled their extinction event. She visits 3 Isu lands (Elysium, Hades, and Atlantis).
    In my opinion, she could have a great series building off of that that helps us, the player, root for her. Imagine playing as her hunting down Isu artifacts derived from various cultures and mythologies. She knows of the New World since 400BC!
    Could y’all imagine a game playing as Kassandra coming over with Columbus or the Spanish to find El Dorado, knowing full well it’s an Isu city and therefore full of artifacts? Coming across the statue of future sages we see in IV? There’s many other mythologies to include that could’ve led to many games of her own series.
    If they focused on THAT part of her story to tie into Assassin’s Creed (the Isu mythology) I think the players and fans would accept Odyssey and her character much more positively.

    Here's my personal list:
    . No present day sequence (yes, the elsewhere besides the cave bits in AC 3 were fun. Yes, Lucy was a great character that got the axe sooner than fans wouldve liked, yes. AC Rogue had a collectible in the present day worth collecting ( the tablets because of the headless hessian sparring sessions ); and yes, the final present day bit in Syndicate was pretty cool); but compare to Ghost of Tsushima that kept you in a single time-period & that flows better no matter what.
    . Speaking bout Ghost, and this is a bit controversial to me so I might have it be an early honorable mention, but Ubi waited way too long to do a Feudal Japan era AC game. Yes, Code Name Red is coming out, but Sucker Punch beat them to it and made a game that's even better than every Ubi AC game. And while Red is coming, it looks to be a sidescrolling RPG... pretty lame especially in comparison to the powerhouse that is my favorite game in existence Ghost of Tsushima. A game that is 3rd person open world action adventure with a beautiful graphics, music, a great size open world, great combat and stealth gameplay, well developed characters who are a part of a magnificent story. Overall its GOATed. So... The question arises, would Ubi had tried harder than they are with Red if they beat Sucker Punch to the punch? (pun intended). How would a golden age for Ubi AC games era Feudal Japan era AC game turn out? What if Ubi listened to the fans more than worry bout stereotypes? Then again, would Tsushima lose its thunder and be considered superfluous if it come out after Ubi did theres; to the devs at Sucker Punch & therefore not release? Im up for friendly competition between decent and similar games but not at the cost of my favorite game if ya get my drift.
    . Anyhow, next on the list: What if... Jack the Ripper had more than just a DLC? Speakin bout time in Syndicate dya wanna know who needs less of it... so much less he shouldn't have existed? That freakin fecker of a hypnotist: CaPpElLi!
    . I agree bout the WW era AC games. Next.
    . What if, Ubi didnt go the RPG route? I enjoyed.... just AC Mirage of the RPG era . To an extent. Saving the game is shoddy. Combat is simplistic in controls and yet punishing against various classes of enemies even after a lot of the upgrades. But I still beat the game. Thats more than can be said bout any other RPG era entry. So what if, they kept to the OG style?
    . Sequels. Yeah, Shay would be a decent candidate for getting a sequel. Also Haytham. But ya know who deserves it the most? How bout Edward Kenway who, btws had more of his story told in books ... Shouldve been in a sequel game.... Shouldve gotten a sequel or so...

    No Bayek sequel was a crime.
    The establishment of the brotherhood in Rome, visiting Greece and ect. which was the original idea for Empire.
    Goddammit Ubisoft!
    Bayek could've been an Ezio level character if not even better.
    After playing through Origins again the game left me wanting more.
    I still think this is Ubisoft's biggest missed opportunity in recent years - not giving us a Bayek sequel.
    I'd love a sequel in Rome exploring the establishment of the Hidden Ones there(eventually throughout Europe).
    Bayek is a brilliant character and I think he deserves his story to be finished in a proper way.

    Personally, I think the reason your Number 1 didn't happen is because it might have been too ambitious. Such an announcement would immediately get the fanbase's hype up and if Uibsoft failed to deliver, well, does it really need saying? Much like Avengers 2012, it would be a potential franchise killer. Marvel was banking on characters they still owned the rights to at the time since all the big guns were with Fox (the X-Men) and Sony (Spider-Man). It was a gamble that paid off but still had the potential to be a franchise killer.
    I wouldn't hold my breath for an AC game in WW1 and beyond. The time period is too modern. We've had guns in AC before but the technology present in the modern era starting with WW1 makes the Hidden Blade both an outdated relic to a bygone era and superfluous since there are easier ways to assassinate targets from a distance by that point in time, even if accuracy isn't the best. The question is "With the advent of sniper rifles, why would the Brotherhood stick to the Hidden Blade as their go-to method of assassination except out of pride?"
    I'm personally happy that after Syndicate, Uibsoft decided to jump back in time to explore even earlier time periods. We all know the history of WW1 and beyond. But Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and the Viking Age? We don't learn too much about them in school, if at all. With the Islamic Golden Age now covered through Mirage, we can keep going. And we're finally hitting Sengoku Era Japan after years of Uibsoft saying they didn't want to touch it. Only question that remains now is "when" in the Sengoku Era are we going? The entire period was five centuries long and sticking to the dying days would be the safest move because of the famous Three Unifers (Oda, Toyotomi, and Tokugawa). But the potential to go earlier into the Sengoku Period would be interesting as well.

    Hot take: Rogue should’ve never happened. As much as I love the game because it’s like a Black Flag DLC, it does little to affect the other games in the series. In Unity, Arno had no interest in finding his father’s killer. If that was a motivation for his character, rogue would’ve made more sense. Instead I think AC3 should’ve cut out haythams prologue and just focused on Connor. Haytham should’ve had his own game. Shay’s a cool character, but I would definitely take a haytham game over rogue.

    This will seem controversial, but i think AC Revelations was a missed opportunity. I don't like the setting for this game. It should have been set in Spain instead, during the Spanish Inquisition, with Ezio traveling to Madrid for the majority of the game, and then travelling to Masyaff castle near the climax of the narrative.
    Spain was teased in Assassin's Creed 2, which was where Ezio and his family wanted to originally escape to before residing in Monterichioli and starting his journey as an assassin, so it would have been a nice pay off from AC 2
    AC Revelations should have been Assassin's Creed 3 in my opinion, instead of the Assassin's Creed 3 we got, so going from this straight to AC 4 Black Flag.
    Also, a game set in the American Civil War would have been a great setting for an AC game, with a protagonist similar to Connor in some ways, with Abraham Linchin as a key historical figure, and Battle of Gettysburg as a event in the game

I get that many people wasnt a big fan of the game, but it could still have become something great, heck for me beyek didnt even need to be the protagonist, i would have loved to see aya as the protagonist and her continuing story. Just imagine a game where we follow aya from Egypt to Greece (btw then Odyssey would never have happened)bc the order started to take over and try to regin over the country, we would then leran about aya's past with bayek and see the end of the order in Greece... Would have been great.

    You can also blame Kristen Bell for messing up Desmond's story. In short Kristen Bell became super famous, and wanted more money for them to continue to use her voice, and likeness. That is why Lucy's death seemed to just happen out of nowhere. I think this jump started the end of Desmond's story.

    Now Ubisoft has gone on record of saying they don't ever want to do Feudal Japan, but here me out. I've been thinking about this for a while and they unintentionally opened the avenue to do so. In AC Odessy, when you are out of the animus you can explore and talk to someone who is literally an ex-yakuza japanese assassin. So here was my thought, return the animus to when you had to actually be related to dip and have him be our main character. Not only that but as ex-yakuza the out of animus segments could be a second part of the game instead of glorified walking and exposition. Have the two parts of game work with each other. You having to go into the past to find information that you can use in the present. Imagine running around in the modern day exactly like you would in the animus with combat and exploration.
    I'm curious as to feed back so reply if you are intrigued or even want to debate it

It really seemed for a long while the series was going to keep heading forward, then origins came out, and reset the clock. I like origins, don't get me wrong, but I was actually kind of pissed to see the creation of the brotherhood. Never should've been shown imo, it makes them less mysterious. For them to build up the character and have him get the arguably strongest assassins in history skills then kill him off is just a very dumb decision that don’t make sense.
