When someone ends up putting condoms on their watch, maybe it's time to sell their watch collection and switch to the Apple Watch.😂

It looks like an amazing product, but It’s a shame there isn’t any product for the Cartier Santos bezel, as it is known as a scratch magnet

Thanks for the suggestion. Indeed the Cartier Santos is a popular model that needs its shell

Seems like a great idea if you want to test drive a watch before potentially selling it on but if you're keeping the watch, it looks as if you're detracting from the beautiful shine and luster a bit that you've paid all that money for. It's a pass for me but thanks for the vid.

I used to have this stuff on my phones; was really good and durable and hid scratches very well, but did yellow and start peeling/gathering much at the edges after a year of handling (wonder if a watch gets more or less handling than a phone if worn all the time?)

Not for me but if anything I’d consider it for the clasp

I would love this for the Speedmaster, I tend to baby it because of the turned lugs.

It's like stone-chip protection on you car. This is coming in handy, when I let my left arm with the watch hanging out the window at 100 mph on the Autobahn!

Fwiw - I saw a bloke that got lots of different manufacturers of this style of protector and tested them on different watches. There was one clear winner he said - but I can’t remember who it was…… some helpful consumer advice for you ! But sure it can be found on TH-cam.

I worry that the film would gather dirt and grime around the edges, and that dirt and grime would wear away at the finish. If that happens, you wouldn't end up with wear, just in different places.

One word: abominable. I just find the entire idea abominable, in the sense that it's pushing this perversion about watches as an investment to the extreme. Let's cover it all in plastic because God forbid it would collect a few scratches that would detract from its value. It reminds me of my time in Vietnam in the mid 90's, where people would keep the plastic wrap around their calculators, steering wheels, etc. to keep them new.

this might be the one video that captures the absurdity of watches being an investment. Why bother covering them in Plastic. You should not wear them at all! So ridiculous. I cannot wait for the bottom to fall out of the watch investment world. This coming from a high end horology wearer from the 1990s (pre hype days)
