Preserve the life of your 5.0 Coyote or 5.2L Voodoo Engine with this Ford Performance Passenger Side Oil-Air Separator Kit. The backpressure present in your Mustang intake system causes oil vapor from the crankcase to recirculate its way into your air intake system. These oil vapors can condense into your intake and actually end up affecting the octane of your fuel. In addition to messing with your fuel octane, the vapors can also begin to form on your engine valves and spark plugs causing combustion problems. This kit will make sure that your engine is not harmed by separating oil vapor from the air. This kit installs directly on your PCV system and includes OEM hoses and fittings.

Maybe I am wrong but I thought the air oil separator recycles the oil back into the motor so it doesn’t need draining like a catchcan??

@CJ WHY is the passenger vs driver side the one with more blow by to begin with on coyote engines? Oil pump placement or something intrinsic to the design I figure? Just curious.

Is there any difference between the passenger and the driver side oil-air separators (besides the positioning)? Is one to be preferred?

Because of the design of the PCV the passenger side oil separators will catch a majority of the oil. For maximum protection running both is a good idea but I would recommend at least getting the passenger side.

Ford Performance sells air oil seperators for the left and right side of the engine bay of the Ecoboost. What's up with that? Are two seperators required or is it just for convience when it's time to drain it?

So I dropped one of the two coupling clips and it’s now at the bottom beneath the engine. You think the oil separator is stable? It feels pretty stable

No you don't have too. Most of the oil still go through the passenger side

It will fit the 20 GT350 and GT350R, the GT500 uses a different one.

Bear Mountain stops oil from going into the intake from the PVC system which can build up and cause poor performance over time.
