We love that you share part of your life and experiences with us and with your friend babies I know we feel the same about a lot of things thanks for taking the time Jenna Happy spring or summer
I bought a window bird feeder for my two cats and it keeps them stimulated during the day when I’m at work. It’s a suction cup mount and they stay pretty occupied. It has made them more active during the day and less nocturnal. It’s also fun to see the variety of birds that stop by. 👍
I could be wrong, but that flying critter could be a young carpenter ant as they start out with wings then later shed them then destroy anything made of wood. Try to get a picture of it and show it to your nearest hardware store clerk to make sure of what it is and maybe get something to get rid of them. Just a thought to ponder. Don't know what to tell you about Ramsey. Thanks for sharing and have a grand day.
Before we had "Memes" and computers (going back to the 1970's now), we used to find these little plaques with clever little sayings and pictures or photos on them sold mostly in "Hallmark" card and gift stores. One I had bought showed a lion asleep on a tree branch during the day with the quote; "I'd quit this job, but it's the only place I can get any sleep!" If I can find that plaque, I'm giving it to you. Lol! Warning! Don't hang it up at work. Some employers don't have a sense of humor. Lola!
My husky, Sorcha learned from my little dog Rory ( ♥️) they didn’t wake me, if they needed to go out I’d wake to them watching me. When they seen my eyes open, they’d head straight to the door. If they didn’t, I’d have my coffee almost gone before they’d stretch and come to the door then 🤗. Sorcha still does it, everyone said she was copying Rory but he passed 2 years ago ( age 18-1/2 ). Miss him terrible 😪💔🐾. Guess I was extra blessed 👍🤗
My Granddaughter wakes me up every morning before my alarm lol! I hope you get to rest. I’m so glad we have not had to use our wood stove for a week! One less chore, but it’s gardening season so there’s something to fill the gap. All the best to you Jenna! 💕🌷
Yeah, that is a real problem. If catio is secure, cats can be out there at night (at least in moderate weather). I am unfortunately a cat lover, even though allergic. A huge catio with climate control allowed me to have cats without 24/7 cats indoors. Enjoy your channel!
I have trouble sleeping if it's completely quiet. Several years ago I made a 30 minute recording of a stream in Colorado. I then edited the recording to make a 10 hour long audio file that I play on a bluetooth speaker. Now I see that YT has similar 8 to 10 hour long videos of rain on metal roof, thunderstorms, waves at the beach, etc. Even though I live out in the boondocks, it's not exactly quiet at night (coyotes yipping, wild cats fighting, occasional dogs barking). Your conversations with the cats are so funny, especially when you ask them to do chores in the camper. Take care and have a nice rest of your week.
Those bugs look like flying ants, which we have during the spring in Washington State eastern side. That gate is pretty impressive. You're quite the handy person when working on the house.
We have three cats, two of them are seniors, and if left them to their own whims i would never sleep. I learned to use a water spray bottle when they tried to bully me. I love my cats but I also needed to survive. I hope your solution works. You're a good cat mom so don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I know what your going thru I was up at 420 am every morning for years going to work and my dog would jump on the bed work his way under the covers for 15 min then on the floor for awhile then back again all night but got used to it, and the flies had that problem last year flying around kitchen light don't know where they come from love your videos dear so stay safe always your truely a amazing woman
I have two cats also, the problem is real!! Lol, I feel it's a summer thing? Jenna, I've been watching your channel for a while, but I never have said hello. So hello from Alberta. I loved your fishing video last week. It was the 3rd anniversary of my dad's passing, and it brought back so many memories of all the years of my dad and I spent fishing. It warmed my heart, thank you for that. 😊 I hope the gate continues to work. Keep us updated! Carolynn
Hey GJ, at least with moths, the cats have something to play with, lol. Imagine the cat flying through the air for a moth, and landing on you in a deep sleep. One day when you are bored, sit and watch the cat and every time he gets to sleep good, wake him up, lol. Your gate sounds like a great idea. My male cat, hated the water bottle.
Hi Jenna, Rory and Ramsey 🐈⬛🐾😊 Hope you're able to get rid of the insects 🤞🏻 Have a great day my friends. Stay safe and take care 🙂 God Bless 🙏🏻 Appreciate you!🫶🏻
I have always had cats but now I have a small dog Ollie who is kennel trained. When I go to bed he goes into his kennel for the night. Probably would not work for kitties though, if I think of something will post it for you. Get some rest.😂
True story, a guy i worked with used to give his cat Prozac. He shared his prescription with the cat because he felt the cat was depressed. He swore by it too. A little off topic but i just felt the urge to pass this along. Cheers....
When I was married a long time ago we pick up a cat and after a week I woke up with that cat jumping on the bed on my face and on top of the window meowing loudly this went on for a couple of weeks, come to find out it was in heat!!!! We soon found a new owner to take care of the cat,,,, it was a lot of fun!!!! You did a great job with your little problem, I enjoy your videos Jenna 😊
Another wonderful vid! Love the cat interaction. Just lost my cat of 18 years, it sure is good to see Ramsey just being a cat. Hope all is well. Thanks for the Previous fishing vid. Take care, my friend.
The ducks are probably after those flying bugs plaguing you.. So nice to see the duck, I miss having geese, ducks and deer. Now I have Bears. lol My cat has been doing the same stuff to me since she was little. Not much you can do but holler at them...Doesn't work... But I feel a little better. lol
My cat Brian likes to wait until around 3am then run around the house knocking over as many things as possible. However, on a serious note, I started shutting him outside because he was constantly waking me up and I was so tired all the time during the day. Even my friends said I looked tired.
We solved our early morning problems with an Automatic Cat Feeder as he was waking us for his grub. It worked and now he just goes to sleep between us at the end of our bed with a full tummy!! Regards
I don't want to say this to make matters worse but think some things need to be kept in mind here. You are living in a fairly confined space, done admirably well trying to provide prowling space for the cats but in my mind they may well just be bored and need the adventure and physical activity associate with being outside for periods every day. I have little grey tabby that I saved three years ago, we have a pretty good sized house and she roams about half of it, just not into certain areas my wife has set off limits. In winter and on days that letting her out to play just does not workout she tends to be hyper and is pretty active during night time periods. When the weather is good and she gets her 4-6 hours of outside adventure she tends to settle right down when she comes in, eats, naps and is entirely more calm than when she is cooped up. Still, I do realize there are apartment dwellers that have cats that never see the light of day. Perhaps some good ideas will come forth from viewers to help with your restless kitties.
I have 3 cats and YES it took awhile to teach them that night time is when i sleep. I used a spray bottle of water when they used to RUN like a herd of elephants throughout the apartment. Now the two younger ones sleep with me and mama sleeps on cat tree at night. Sleep well!!! 😊😸
Howdy Jenna, As someone already posted, a bug zapper might be a good idea but then I got to thinking; what if the zapping sounds would keep you awake also? You said you're a light sleeper, every zap might keep you awake. Please don't feel bad or guilty about installing a gate to keep Ramsey out at night. It's not cruel, it's the right thing to have done. I think Ramsey maybe is going through a mid-life crisis? Maybe the kitten food is making him feel like a playful kitten again? Rory is so chill but something has gotten into Ramsey. Keep us updated and as I said, don't feel bad, you're doing the right thing. You need and deserve to have a good night's sleep. You are right, it's a health issue. On a personal note, I had that stone busted up removed by the laser yesterday. My kidney is a little sore and tender on that right side and I have a kidney stent in me for about a week or so but the worst is over and I'll be all better very soon. I want to thank you for your concern, it was very much appreciated. God forbid you or I should ever get another stone but if we do, let's hope they are small enough to pass on their own. Let's keep a good thought!😊 Take care and get some sleep. You work hard and need your proper rest...Steve.
I am glad to hear the stone was zapped Steve! Those stones are awful and lucky for me, I passed mine as they were small enough. The pain until they entered the bladder though, was terrible! Thank you, let's hope Ramsay gets used to being on the other side of that gate at night 🙂
@@gypsyjenna Yes, when those stones enter the tract, it's horrible. I had a very good doctor yesterday, she was wonderful. She got a piece of that stone to analyze and will tell me what it consisted of so I can "cut that out" of my diet. She also said I should drink more fluids to keep my system flushed. Sounds like a car's radiator. LOL. Also, Ramsey is going to have to learn to let his mama get some sleep! He needs to be a good kitty like Rory.
@StevefromOhio1972 hope they can pinpoint it! I am almost certain for me it was too much milk (calcium) I cut back tremendously and also avoid salt when I can, good luck!
Dude, I feel for you! One of my cats is 15 and I've had him for 13 years. He has been a nightmare at night that entire time.... and meows so loud, constantly when Im trying to sleep. I've tried everything.....Including sleeping on the couch for the last 9 months because that is the only time he is halfway tolerable during the night!
Oh my goodness! I am sorry you are going through that! I think it might be an older cat thing maybe? Ramsay is getting up there in age. He is probably about 14 or so..
I rescued my female cat when she was 4. She use to meow and wake me up. I let her know I don’t like that so she stopped meowing to wake me and she switched to clawing at the carpet. Now she’s 7 1/2 and rarely wakes me up.
@@billbradley2480 lucky! I have 6 pets ( all of them rescues) and this includes 3 cats. But this cat is the only one who wakes me up. He is well aware I don't like it. haha.
So im happy to report that my Lil buddy doesn't make these same problems. He sleeps at the foot of the bed or ery politely asks for permission to get under the covers with me and cuddles up against my chest. It's actually very wonderful. But I understand, good luck.
LMFAO my cat does the walking behind my head on my pillow thing, but then he starts gently nibbling on my fingers LMFAO I’m not working so it’s not an issue tho 😂😂😂. Cats are little furry jerks
Hey put you out a little bowl of water and dish soap under your range at night with that light on you will catch them bugs over night , that’s what we’ve been doing and it works , great update
Put a piece of tape under your range hood light at night so as they fly around they stick to it. Here in Florida we have termite issues and that's what I've been doing and it seems to work pretty good
I've had four cats and I never let any of them sleep with me. Im not into the jumping up and down, walking on top of me, sleeping on my head, playing in the bed, and waking up to a cat on my chest, two inches from my face! Plus, the cat hair floating about is a bit much (even with copious brushing)! So, i kept the bedroom door closed. Of course, the screaming in the morning for breakfast and the little kitty feet shoved under my door so they could rattle the door in it's jam always occurred, but thats okay. I could still sleep through the night!😊
One of my girl cats Pumpkin has been doing the same but walks over me and near my face. The other noight she scratched me on the right side of my nose and under my nose. Not bad but it hurt. Been having to do the same with closing my door and keeping her out. Gotta love your cats. My other cat Precious which is the sister never does that. Hope you have better luck. My issue has been better.
14:58 the face of a jerk! Still pretty darn cute though, and he knows it. It's really hard to be mad at someone with a cute little fuzzy face like that lol.
I've been living on 3 hour naps since I inherited my mom's chihuahua when she passed. I'm ready to send him back to the shelter from which she found him. The cats are no problem except they insist on being fed before I can have my coffee! They usually stay off the bed when I'm on it. They have the whole living room to abuse at night. Good luck with your bug problem.
Yes, my cats have a problem waking me up too. I live in a tiny house on weels with 13 feet ceilings. I have a cat walk the width of my house and is 20 feet long. I was rudly woken up to a cat falling onto my face..claws fully engaged. I was trying to get to the bathroom covering my wounds trying to stop the bleeding. This has happened twice. Maybe I need to install a net for the cats to fall on rather than my face :)
Jenna, can you mount one of those accordion type doors? We installed one to keep the cats in one area downstairs temporarily. I think it worked but can’t remember. Not sure if they make shorter ones for campers or if you could shorten one.
I bet you have. Maybe with nice weather, you can lock him in the CATHOUSE that’s out of the window. We love them dearly one hand and want to clobber them with the other. I hope your fans help you come up with a solution. It’s so had to see in video, but could you build and install a sold door, or modify one? You have to figure out something to keep your sanity. I guess the human will prevail but not looking too promising, lol
My 18 year old cat is so clingy..she was sleeping all day waking me up all night..I bought a pet sleeping bag ( it’s just like a person sleeping bag but smaller)..I put that on my bed with a thin pillow underneath it…she now crawls in there and sleeps like a champ…
I wouldn't let Rory in to sleep with you if Ramsey can't. Will upset Ramsey. As you said, there are plenty of places for them both to sleep. Also, try some melatonin for you. Helps you relax and fall asleep. I miss having a fur baby to cuddle with all night long, but my doctor said no more because of my asthma. My last two died at age 18 and 17.
My female cat can easily get over fences that are 6 ft. I’ve seen her on the roof of my home several times. The first day I had her she was on top of the fridge. My bedroom dresser is about 4 ft tall and she jumps up onto it.
Love your vids Jenna ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦......I had to put up a baby gate as well to keep my cat out of the bedroom and the bathroom because he learned to open doors 😒
I had a Siberian husky who did the same thing to me.When he decided to pee on my head while I was asleep I knew it was time to to shut the door before going to bed.Haha.Miss that little guy.Funny how life is.
How did the gate work? If that doesn't work you can train your cat to let you sleep. It takes a long time, but it's possible. Your cat may be waking you up because it wants food, so you could leave a little dry kibble down for him. Or if he just wants attention, you could pet him on your couch before you go to bed and after breakfast. I had this issue with one of my cats. I always leave dry kibble down, so I knew she just wanted attention. I always let my cats in the bed, but you have to train them. I would pet her when she would sit or lay on the corner of the bed where she wouldn''t disturb me. If she tried to wake me up I would just turn over and ignore her. With some patience and a lot of time, she finally got it. She now comes to be petted before my bedtime while I'm up and comes to be petted if I get up to use the bathroom. She can tell when I'm awake and will come to be petted then too. It's important not to play with your cats on your bed. Play with them on your couch or chair. I hope this helps if your gate idea didn't work. Sweet dreams.
Jenna.....I am waken at midnight, 3am, 6am every day by my dog!!! I just try to catch a nap Monday thru Friday. IT SUCKS!! But...I love my dog. I just accept it😢
It is important to get your sleep that is for sure. Maybe move the gate farther away? kind of split the camper in two? You could also remind him what happened to Hilbert... 😁 I was kind of hoping the duck would start chasing you around.
Well I'm moving from the low-income building I've been in for 13 years to a new low-income building. I've lived in a 9 ft by 10 ft room. Now I'll have a bathroom too lol. And a tub hipee !!! 😂. I love'ya sweety be safe. Hug the cats for me :)
i have a dog who is like this. except she is a german shepard that has to do her rounds at night. it is interesting because when i put the baby gate up i do not hear her at all. but when i don't because of guilt, she has me up all hours of the friggin night. I am also a very light sleeper so that was a he** nah for me. You do what you gotta do.
The Ramsey.......... runin the show 😂🤣😂🤣What nocturnal domesticated Karnivores do😁😁👍👍💙💙I almost spewed my drink when i saw that toddler gate... So darn funny!!
Do you have sleep apnea? Breathing issues in any way? My cats wake me when I sleep rough. A video camera showed me it was my sleep behavior that makes them go crazy to wake me. Just a thought
11:57 You can try to rotate the staircase 90°(with the highest side to the right, when looking from this angle) when the security gate is deployed, so that the sidepanel of the staircase covers the entire doorway at the bottom, and the screen of the security gate rest against the sidepanel.
Ramsey is going to sleep wherever he wants to Gypsy. My cat Shadow jumps five foot up. Climbs in the 2nd floor window. Yer screwed girl, you got enough of them now. Best thing you can do is put them out when you go to bed Jenna.
Hey GJ, you hate the bugs, the cats are in kitty heaven having something to chase, lol. It’s rough when you have to get a mosquito net to sleep inside, ugh! Even in a house, it seems life is a constant battle with nature. They want to get in, and we want them to get out. Ramsey would find himself locked outside if he were mine. We loved our cats, but when we had them we eventually had to lock them out of the bedroom for our own sanity. I know you don’t have a bedroom door to lock. Hope the gate works, but cats can jump mighty high. When you’re home during the day, every time Ramsey doses off, wake him up. Have some rock and roll music booted up but on pause, and when he doses off, fire that up. You know I’m being silly, love cats too, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
Any cat I’ve ever had would have just climbed that like it wasn’t even there. 😂
Yeppers.
If Ramsey wants in there he's going to get in there
How did your gate work did they jump it yet
Ramsay jumped it for the first time last night but I think it is because the staircase was left too close to the gate 😅 🤦♀️
We love that you share part of your life and experiences with us and with your friend babies I know we feel the same about a lot of things thanks for taking the time Jenna Happy spring or summer
All he will do is meow until he gets in . That will still make you get up .
@sharonlewer4088 he actually doesn't meow lol

He is well aware I don't like it. haha.
Those plug in bug zappers called Zevo are supposed to be really good.
They work very well
So im happy to report that my Lil buddy doesn't make these same problems. He sleeps at the foot of the bed or ery politely asks for permission to get under the covers with me and cuddles up against my chest. It's actually very wonderful. But I understand, good luck.
Got to love them pets. Especially kitty cats ❤😂 I never read instructions either until necessary.
😆
LMFAO my cat does the walking behind my head on my pillow thing, but then he starts gently nibbling on my fingers LMFAO
I’m not working so it’s not an issue tho 😂😂😂. Cats are little furry jerks
@Mystica._ haha they sure can be!
I have the same colour cat and he does the same thing if he’s not in he’s howling so hope that works for you
So far no howling 😀🤞🤞
Lucky cats. You keep them well and in the loop as to what’s going on. I get some laughs in watching.
Hey put you out a little bowl of water and dish soap under your range at night with that light on you will catch them bugs over night , that’s what we’ve been doing and it works , great update
Good idea with the baby gate. Thanks for posting Jenna, take care.
Put a piece of tape under your range hood light at night so as they fly around they stick to it. Here in Florida we have termite issues and that's what I've been doing and it seems to work pretty good
Termites and fleas..all winter... no fleas...now fleas...oh well life goes on
I was a preschool teacher and we used those gates to keep the kids in the room. I loved them! Poor mistreated Ramsey 😉😂🩵
I've been watching your videos for months getting ideas on how to set up my camper.with my 2 dogs😊 iam 73
My cat sunny wakes me up every morning between 4:30 and 5:00. And I mean every morning. So I have no need for an alarm clock.
They have internal clocks I suppose lol
14:58 the face of a jerk! Still pretty darn cute though, and he knows it. It's really hard to be mad at someone with a cute little fuzzy face like that lol.
Haha eventually I get over it but but when I am woken up (36 times) I am pretty dang angry hahaha
I have a gate also to keep my cats out of the bedroom. I run a standup fan turned away from me to drown out the noise
Oh no, I hope you figure out a solution that works for you and the pooch, best of luck
O my goodness, a rude awakening in for sure! Guess you make sure the claws are always clipped! Haha
Great idea I hope the gate works!
Hi Jenna. Stay safe and well and we will see you in the next one 🫶👍🇬🇧
Jenna, can you mount one of those accordion type doors? We installed one to keep the cats in one area downstairs temporarily. I think it worked but can’t remember. Not sure if they make shorter ones for campers or if you could shorten one.
I used to have an accordion door, they just pull up on the bottom part and find their way in. I have tried it all lol
I have the Amish fan on our wood stove.
My cat will meow loudly til I get up and let him outside. He's in the laundry area. He's LOUD.
My cat would climb it but I’m guessing they might be declawed. 😊 Good luck! I’m dealing with the exact same thing as you are with me 3 cats! Ugh.
Thanks, they are not declawed. It turned out to be Ramsays thyroid issue and he is on meds for it now :)
@ wow, I would have never thought about a thyroid issue. I’m glad he’s on meds. 😊
Earplugs are a must for me with pets nearby when sleeping
My 18 year old cat is so clingy..she was sleeping all day waking me up all night..I bought a pet sleeping bag ( it’s just like a person sleeping bag but smaller)..I put that on my bed with a thin pillow underneath it…she now crawls in there and sleeps like a champ…
That's super funny and awesome! Next she needs a little tent! 😀
Please she’s spoiled rotten….great video
Greetings...my beast start bout 1am..3am..at 5am I completely give up..mine does scratchies on any hard surface😊❤😊
Hope he doesn't climb it !!😊❤😊
I wouldn't let Rory in to sleep with you if Ramsey can't.
I do take melatonin, maybe I need to take several more 😅
@@gypsyjenna There is always Benadryl, in small doses. Hope your problem gets solved soon. God bless.
My female cat can easily get over fences that are 6 ft. I’ve seen her on the roof of my home several times. The first day I had her she was on top of the fridge. My bedroom dresser is about 4 ft tall and she jumps up onto it.
Try giving him some chicken or turkey about a hour before bedtime,Google can cats take Benadryl
Good idea... TURKEY coma! Tryptophan is a thing!
Oh my, that breakfast looked so good. Ramsey, "safe from your wrath", LOLOLOL
Oooo, Mayflies! Time to go trout fishing.
Hope this all pans out for you, I don’t sleep, either, but mines age related, like almost 70, love your videos though, keep on going girl 😅❤
We have those here in texas and are called mayflies
Cats are sneaky critters, mine would so jump ver that! Hope it works for you sleep in
Me, a cat lady, Knows what you're going through. ❤
Love your vids Jenna ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦......I had to put up a baby gate as well to keep my cat out of the bedroom and the bathroom because he learned to open doors 😒
If he figures out how to go over or under maybe you can go ceiling to floor if it’s long enough
Definitely an option but so far, so good! 🙂
Hehehe, cute. My cat Happy can jump up 4.5 feet on my bench. Good luck on your sleep.
I am kind of glad that Ramsay has short legs then, haha
I had a Siberian husky who did the same thing to me.When he decided to pee on my head while I was asleep I knew it was time to to shut the door before going to bed.Haha.Miss that little guy.Funny how life is.
That it is! 🥰
Been waiting all weekend for your video make sure you get lots of rest and keep up the amazing work. Can't wait to see the next one.
That's why you keep a can of bug spray Is raid. I always keep a can for spiders.
Jenna another great show thanks for sharing 👍 Johno Darwin NT 👍 🍺
🍻 thanks for watching!
The moths are attracted to LED lights.
I just accept it😢
Awee, that is "RUFF" for sure! 🐾🐾
Jenna, being Jenna.
That's what we all tune in for.
It is important to get your sleep that is for sure. Maybe move the gate farther away? kind of split the camper in two? You could also remind him what happened to Hilbert... 😁 I was kind of hoping the duck would start chasing you around.
them dammmed crunchy ants....
I have a new kitten that does the same thing ! Driving me crazy
Uh oh, ya gotta feel less guilty and get that sleep in!
The Ramsey.......... runin the show 😂🤣😂🤣What nocturnal domesticated Karnivores do😁😁👍👍💙💙I almost spewed my drink when i saw that toddler gate... So darn funny!!
A fan blowing in his direction, on low speed may work as well as mask some unwanted noise
15 times!!! Had me in stitches 😂😂
You look well rested, i know what you mean about waking early, almost like you never get enough sleep!😂
