That periscope scene does make me wonder: Without it in the movie, it doesn't make sense that Indy would be able to ride the submarine to their hideout. Wouldn't they submerge completely? An easy fix to this would have simply been to say that the ark couldn't be put inside the submarine because of its size, so it had to ride on top (along with Indy) and they didn't submerge because they didn't want to risk harming the ark.
With 'Crystal Skull', George Lucas had come to Steven Spielberg several times with variations of the idea and each time Steven said he "didn't want to do another alien movie" since he had done several up to that point. But George eventually came up with the line for Steven, "Oh, they're not aliens, they're 'interdimensional beings'." It seems that was enough to convince Steven to do it. He should have listened to his instinct. A year or two after it came out, Harrison was on stage at some event and was asked about doing another Indy movie. Hi response was something like, "I'd love to do another one...but this time we won't be going to Mars..." seeming to throw some shade at 'Crystal Skulls'. The rumor is that Indy 5 will involve time travel, but I hope that rumor turns out NOT to be true.

You can tell Harrison Ford is in his element on a movie set. He looks like he's enjoying every minute, laughing, clowning around with the crew, etc. He obviously loves his work. But when you see him being interviewed on a talk show, he's pretty serious and introverted. I guess part of that is being asked the same questions over and over. But it's cool to see this side of his personality.

It most likely would’ve taken place after that deleted scene where Sallah spilled the food on the Germans. A young German soldier (no younger than 18 or 19) was tasked with pulling the trigger to kill him but he couldn’t do it and refused. It was largely unimportant to the story as a whole, but it would’ve been nice to see that not all German soldiers were cold-blooded Nazis and some were forcefully recruited against their will.

4:42 It was at this moment Mr. Ford out of a joke suggested shooting the swordsman and Spielberg liked that idea better.

The Indy-Marion deleted kiss in her bar is so many things at once: romantic, intense, sexy, erotic and, considering their morally questionable backstory coupling: perverted and sleazy. Yeah. They're the perfect onscreen couple in cinema history.

When Marion says "I was a child" I don't think she means she was a minor. I believe she means she was young and inexperienced and Indy was her first love.

@@WillCamxno it wasn't that she was young inexperienced Marion ravenwood was literally 15 years old, and Indiana Jones was 27 when they become romantically and sexually involved , in George Lucas and Steven Spielberg's transcript this is an old story since the freaking 1970s when the story and transcript was written, people like you are getting annoying, either get up to speed or shut up

Now THIS is what an outtakes & deleted scenes video should be like! Interesting additional footage that complements what we've already seen.
