    SHOUT OUTS:
    A huge thanks to Obsessive Detailing in Wakefield and Garage Luxe for lending me their awesome space to film in. Yorkshire weather makes winter filming pretty tough and they came to my rescue... Appreciated!
    Make sure you check out: www.garagelux.... for cool garage flooring like you see in the video!
    A huge thanks also to Wrappd in Knaresborough for my full PPF and Ceramic coated roof and wheels... It's made a huge difference in terms of cleaning and protecting my paint!

    Algorithms brought me here! Fellow GR owner here coming up to 2 years. As others have said, an exhaust, intake and a little remap turns it into a right cheeky little scamp that terrorises much more exotic and expensive sports cars. It really is a very special thing.

    Nice review.
    I recently traded in my Civic type r fk8 for one of these. Don't really have any regrets, the Honda was far too large to claim to be a b road monster.
    Myself I was always so worried about what might be around the next corner, too damn wide and if an suv is coming your way, scraping alloy time...
    Love the fact that its so discrete looking too-used to hate the head shakes the honda got.
    Given the weather in the Uk is damp 5 months of the year, the awd makes a real difference.
    It has its limitations, lack of boot space/rear seats are an afterthought.
    To sum it up though,if your daily commute has a long windey narrow b road, then you just found the perfect car ;)
    So happy with mine.

      Hey Phil - aw that’s ace. I completely agree with ya. There’s compromises but the drive and character of it just outweighs it all. Only car that comes close to it for me for driving pleasure is a 911. It’s hard to beat.

You have to think if it fits your lifestyle and I was thinking about buying a 2nd hand Audi TTRS but when this came out it was a no brainer with its 4WD system and Italian Dolomite mountain roads that I drive on, summer or winter there isn't really anything that can keep up with the size and price of this. I hope Toyota will eventually bring a few GR Corolla units to the UK, all EU countries, Switzerland and Türkiye. There are GR fans in Europe who want a more practical GR car, and the GR Corolla would be the solution.

      @@DaveDVideoMaker It is just not viable with the emission controls and lack of demand. With these cars there are lots of fans but most people do not want them. • @PaulBriden
      @PaulBriden ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DaveDVideoMaker Not really, they could make these cars Euro 7 etc, however, there is not the demand there. People who love these cars seem to forget they are in the minority. Before your time maybe, but I remember the Mk 1 Escort lotus twin cam, they are worth an awful lot of money today, however, back in the day the market was small and nobody wanted them. So there were not many built and market demand has inflated the price. Any manufacturer can make any car pass any emission regs, however the demand has to be there. It is simple maths. If you have a small demand for a car, no matter how good it is, once the price exceeds a certain threshold it is just not doable. It is a certain niche that buys this type of car, the average car buyer wants a good compromise. £40,000 to have my ears hammered by road noise on the M25. forget it.

    I see this as one of those cars the novelty wears off very quickly. All the people that say they love these cars, however in the real world they probably would not buy one. To me it is a civilised Caterham, it does what it does and does it well. As long as you are prepared to accept this it is great. However, in a big picture world where there are cameras everywhere, the drone and the noise on any journey I would soon hate it. . One must remember if one hammers this all the time, in this sanitised world they will soon be waking up in a prison cell or a long ban. In the south the B roads and country lanes are full of cyclists and horse riders on any nice day, and the A roads and Motoways are littered with cameras. A great honest review, the most important thing is that you love the car as you have to drive it

From your review I would say the issue is the noise and the ride. The space no one cares about. The kind of person that buys this type of car probably does not worry about the space or even the gas consumption.
