I have an abandoned TOBS Lavender hard soap in a wooden bowl. I found the lather disappointing & having loved the Lavender fragrance in the cream, can barely smell it in the hard soap. Based on seeing how good your lather is there, I will try it again loading more soap. 👍
That is quite possibly the most Scandinavian accent I've heard 😄 Nice review mate, I'll definitely be testing this one out myself. Only tried their sandalwood shaving cream so far, so I'm interesting in seeing how this one will perform.
i use this soap too and i love the smell of it. really amazing smell. but to make a lather is quite difficult. with my brush i have to take away all the water out of the brush and then i can do a lather but i put it directly on my face not in the bowl. and it evaporates very fast so you have to do fast shaving or make lather 2 times cuz i do 2 passes wtg and atg
@@johnny67a i use badger brush. my experience with synthetic brush was not good at all. i dont like the way it feels and i just threw it away very quick and bought one from HJM but later skipped to one made in italy and i dont even know the brand but it is big badger brush and i really like it. i did tabac lather like nothing. i did not even swirl it in the bowl but just dipped wet brush in the wet soap about 4 to 5 times and i had lather for more than 3 passes. very good and easy. i tried then mondial green tobacco soap and i did few swirls and i had lather for 5 passes which i did not even need. i now tried to take the soap out of the wooden bowl and turn it arround because of his shape. i soaked the brush in hot water and taken out almost all the water. i started to swirl and it looked good. i did swirling for about 45s and then tried to mix it in my hand but did not grow in thicknes in my hand. i tried to put it on my face and i noticed that the thicknes grew inside the brush. i left it on my face to see if it will evaporate but it did not. it was actualy very good protective lather. have you tried geo f. trumper or whatever that trash is? i bought coconut and i cant mix it no matter what i do. it gets nice and rich but is sooooooo weak i would not put razor on my skin. it evaporates so fast no matter how i mix it. i tried in the bowl, in my hand, on my face, lots of water, no water, just few drops of water..... it is very expensive disaster
@@RA-lh9uh maybe you were unlucky and got a bad batch? I never cared for that soap. It gave me irritation on the neck. I avoid soaps with nasty chemichal ingfidiets like the plague. G f Trumper is the same shit. I never tested it though, heard its harder to grt a good lather so avoid that one
HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Do any Pucks or bar Soaps out there? You can mix and match old Soaps? to fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them ?) Cut the bar soap up on a paper plate, pour the soap, shavings and chunks from your plate into a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave your soap and cups or mugs? put your paper plate under your cup in case it bubbles out of your cup? for a minute or so? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. (You can use any Hard Soaps You like??) Can you make good lather with other soaps? Maybe you should try a good synthetic brush?
