this game went all the way to black's 18th move for the first capture. It was super crowded on there for quite a long while!

    after 29. Qd4, why not the black 29...Kf6 or 29....Nd7 ?

At 2:05 the position of the white pieces looks like a classic example of centralization from the great book of Aaron Ninzowitz "My System".I remember his advice "Centralize and don't lost hope",

That knight really pierced that defence.😎
Al tried to defeat Akiba, but failed miserably - the worst way to fail. The lesson is: never try.

How could an annotator accuse Rubie of sucking at tactics, when he uncorked an amazing tactical stroke Nf6!! later in the game? Rubie had quite a war of words with Austrian master Heinrich Wolf, and one can imagine the Germans of the day piling onto Wolf's side.

Thanks for helpful and witty commentary, Mato! I hope you and your silicon assistant are doing well!
Minor correction for the entertainment purpose: SeleznyOv (Селезнёв). I suggest calling him Alexey.

Nicely played by white. Good moves were obvious in this game...nevertheless, strong play by Mr Rubinstein.
