I have his two-volume set of his best games with over 330 games. time and time again I was amazed at How tactical and accurate this great Champion was. definitely underrated they need to do a move my move book about this fantastic champion who had a plus one record versus Botvinik in the three matches for the World Chess Championship.... at age 62 in 1983 he qualified for the candidates and only lost to a young Kasparov. Also he was known for his endgame technique. MATO KNOWS CHESS HISTORY. THX AGAIN MATO
@@MatoJelic your passion for chess history and your knowledge of teaching the important positions is very obvious to me. I really appreciate your videos.... I'm getting very close to expert rating in tournament play in USA and your videos are definitely helping
After 17 ...Bd8, how would f6 be? An exchange would seem to favor White uncovering Black's king, and leaving it there or ... g6 could allow for Qg3 or Qh4.
For the very few who press dislike button quite often on Mato's videos...what is it exactly that you don't like?. I'm asking this because if the answer is regarding chess then you must be in such a strong level that your opinion would be highly appreciated. Otherwise I don't see the point considering Mato's videos are probably the best for many of us

@@user-ts2co4ov5h I am glad to hear that
Smyslov was a boa constrictor, shutting off black pieces comunication.
Great attack.
Mato yours smile is also a critical move
I like the "matchup" in the game with knight vs bishop because the knight alternates the color squares. Bishop stays on one color of course.
I like this game. Feel the squeeze
Happy New Year Mato!
Thank you
n i c e !!! a w e s o m e !!!
I always thought you were an old bald man, but your a good looking guy in your best age!
3rd Symslov played a fine game.
In my opinion, the best Sicilian is the pizza. Smyslov knew that, so he defeated his opponent quickly because it was lunch time.
mato is best😀
Thank you Melisa
The game was over after the light square bishops were traded
