I absolutely loved it, and I can't wait to see where the story goes. I do have a few tips, just to help you better capture certain aspects of the franchise better. First, facehuggers do usually remove themselves from people's faces after implantation. Just a small detail, but a carcass by the humans side would have been a touch better. There wasnt really any effect with the acidic blood. Maybe next time cut to a shot where the floor is being eaten through by the acid. Lastly, at around the 5 minute mark, the option for self destruct should be disabled, and the sirens should play, even if quietly under the music. Overall, amazing work, and I can't wait for part 2! I can be a bit nitpicky when it comes to alien stuff, but overall the vibes were perfect for the franchise, the xenomorphs looked incredible (aside from the inner mouth not going into its mouth, but I can let that slide) and the music and sound design was amazing! I can't wait for part 2!
Thanks for checking dude. Wholeheartedly agree with all your points. I did have a shot without the FH still on. But I just liked the shot so much, I ignored the lore a bit. Full transparency. I downloaded Unreal Engine (The software this is made on) a month ago, so I have a lot to learn still. For example the acid affecting the floor or one of our characters im sure is possible to do the visual effect, I just personally haven't learned that yet. So went for a cheap overlay. I am going to take some time (few months) before part two, as I definitely want to add to the visual effects and make each part an improvement on the former. But really appreciate the feedback. I'm basically a Movie nerd that is just learning Unreal Engine and having the opportunity to do my takes on some favourite films etc. Thankyou for taking the time to watch my dude.
