This is a Dollar Tree gnome made from their pool noodles. They measure 2.25” in diameter and 4.5” in length. This is a new sew gnome, so all you need is a glue gun. The pattern is included for free for personal use only. This is an easy pattern for any age. All of my diy gnomes have materials that are easy to obtain. This is also a gnome that you can cut out with a Cricut. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments as I do respond to them. I hope that you like this video.

    I can't believe for once I found something at the Dollar Tree. I looked at the one closest to me and no fire hydrant. I went to a different one and they had 2 cases of them. I was so happy. First time I swear that I found something everyone else gets there.😁

      I am so glad you found them. I have to go to all of them within 15 miles from my house and work to find stuff. I wish they all carried the same stuff. If you go to store locator on their site and check every box under store amenities, you will find the store nearest you that has everything.

    Hi Patti, I'm not a new crafter but I'm brand new at attempting gnomes. I have scoured the you tube videos til I'm nearly blind and low and behold, I found yours. I'm on a pension so buying a lot of things isn't in my budget. Before I even start to watch a new video, I first look to see what kind of comments are made, but actually what I'm looking for is whether or not the person doing the videos, even bothers to answer. I have to say, not only are your gnomes exquisite but you actually take the time to either answer or comment to others who have taken the time to comment, to me, that's huge. I know my gnomes will never look anything as beautiful as yours, but I'll try one using a noodle as soon as I can get to a dollar store. I'm in Canada, so we don't have a dollar tree, hobby lobby or Joanns. We have a Dollarama (1.00 - 4.00) I'm sorry this post was so long, but I just feel since I know you put a ton of work into your projects and your videos, that you should be told, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! and we appreciate all you do.

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wendy, thank you so much for the nice comment. I hope that you get to make a gnome soon. You can do it, I have faith in you. If you can't find a pool noodle, you can use a 2" styrofoam cone and add some quilt batting to make it completely round. You will have to shorten it though. The noodle I use is 2.25" in diameter. If you have any questions along the way, you can always email me as well at pattijgood@gmail.com. I will be more that happy to help you. Have a great weekend.

    You are such a gift to crafters. I swear one of these days they're going to have to make a group called Gnomes Anonymous. I look forward to every one of these little folks. My Mom is from Germany and absolutely loves gnomes! Guess what she's getting for Christmas this year! I'd love to see what you can do with a German themed gnome and his red topped mushroom. Thank you so much for keeping us looking at the positive when it's so easy for us to see all the negative. You are such a treasure. Ok I have a super dumb question…. On the pattern I see the square that says 1 x 1 gauge. I thought all the pieces in the pattern were the actual size but that doesn’t seem correct as watching the video one of the yellow stripes you comment is 1/2” x 12”. How do I determine which pieces to make larger other than his coat?

    • @PattiJGood
      @PattiJGood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sheila. When you print your pattern make sure you have it print to Actual Size. If you print it and the square is not 1" then it did not print correctly. Some printers default to fit to print.

    • @PattiJGood

      If you print an svg file, it will print smaller because it is sized for a 12 x 12 mat. You will have to download it and bring it into design space to use it in Cricut.

      I am so sorry that you cannot get the shoes. Here are the measurements 1.8" long x 1.25" wide x 1" height. You can cut a styrofoam ball in half and cut it to this size, you will need to add some weights to it for balance. You can add some nuts to the dowel rods before you push them into the styrofoam, or press them into the styrofoam.

      You need to make sure that your printer is set to 100% when printing, some printers will scale, that is why I put the 1" gauge on the pattern. Thanks for the heads up just in case someone else is having a similar problem. Have a great weekend.
