I'm enjoying these recent videos from Portland Matt! I miss the days of watching the latest episode of Matt exploring the world from the seat of a trike. Those were great adventures! I respect the van thing but it's the trike rides that always seems to attract my attention. Be safe, have fun, and JaYoe!
great video.. I wish they had those bicycle repair stations along the trails 20 years ago
Large diameter wheels really make a big difference riding over obstacles, and yes, even curbs. When I had my ICE Full Fat, not only did it have 26 inch wheels like your AZUB, but the tires were 4.0 width in front and a 4.8 inch in the rear, so when it went up or down stairs or curbs, or roots, or boulders, or whatever you threw at it, those big soft tires (10 PSI) soaked up any jarring for a great experience. That's an excellent idea for municipalities, making use of the powerline grass areas. In one of our new cycle camps in Florence, they have also placed one of those bike repair stations, which are essentially vandal-proof, except for the most dedicated criminal bent on destruction at any cost.

yea.. i can only imagine the fat tires! but long road journeys might be a little painstaking. I think it was a good middle ground to settle on the continental double fighters.
@@JaYoeNation Your middel-ground is the perfect solution ... these fat tires require more effort to get moving and sustain forward motion. I was originally planning on some long distance rides with that trike, but your trike would be ideal, best of both worlds.

I just went from stolen scorpion fs to tifly X and am SO happy. Everyone told me it was too much for city commuting and they were wrong. Now i float on a cloud over our trashed pot-hole filled bike lanes! ❤

Thanks for compiling this footage and sharing. I’ve always wanted to see the area around Portland. Someday we’ll get there. Love the view from your perspective. This was a fun ride and what you all see in Matt's videos is who he is, Just relaxed enjoying life guy off camera. It was fun seeing how content creators make there videos that are not doing gaming releated stuff.

Hot Wings are a good riding lunch. It raises your temp and causes a sweat and helps you burn fat rather than carbs.
On your drone shots you can really see how much sense such a high visibility jacket does.
I’m so jealous. Finding riding partners has eluded me.

This was awesome! Love that you got your drone out! The drone pictures are always so neat! And interesting about the nine bridges crossing after a birth. Also really curious why in that one woods in China people go in and never come out? They know they are dying so they go in and want to just lay down somewhere where it’s peaceful and pass away….?
Anyway, when I have free time I love to watch some of your trike videos as well as family ones. 😄👍
I have 24" tires on mine a terra trike Rambled GT and I can ride over curbs as well it's fun!👍😀😀

I like it when you reminisce about past rides in Asia.
When you're riding through forests I would be interested in what you're smelling as you go through different varieties of vegetation? And if any of these forests smell different in Asia than America.
The scent of things is always interesting to me. I am not blind, but if any sight impaired people are watching/ listening, I am sure it would be interesting to them.
hmmmm.. it was hard to classify the smell... just a lush mix of all things growing and decaying

I could tell his voice he's another normal person.. In other words my view is those folks who others see as disabled or special needs they're the normal people it's those who need to brand folks are disabled
I was surprised how much of a difference it made going from 406 wheels to 507 wheels in situations like curbs myself. I'm sure 559s make a good difference too.
Driving around in a Wall-E floaty chair. hahaha
haha... its comfortable.. but i am working a lot harder than the passengers on that ship by far

I find I can hop most curbs one wheel at a time on my scorpion fs26, takes a bit of finagling to get the second wheel up but it’s doable
yea... this one just rolls over them! lol... its pretty fun
I've got a delta with 26 wheels and curbs are no problem for it too. 😁
I have a set of Ortlieb 36l recumbent panniers but dunno if usable on my ICE Sprint X Tour with a suspension rear rack.
The bottom of panniers sit a few inches above the ground but any heavy object will make the pannier droop to about an inch of the ground. I could mount the pannier on the top of the rack which is designed for a topbag , but will exceed it's max load.

My wife just got an Azub Fly Ti 26 such an amazing piece of equipment. super comfortable!!! Not sure why the curbs aren’t ramped?

I would think hitting curbs like that would bend the rims.
Not with the suspension on the Azub. Titanium leaf springs with shocks suck it !!!

Be careful your van maybe can be broken in America to money problem breaking the mic breaking
