This is my town. Used to be a jewel but with everyone moving here it is changing fast. The big change started about 2 years ago. Houses being built all over this area.
We just visited 2 weeks ago. It was a lovely little town. The crystal clear waterways were amazing. Great restaurants. We will definitely return when the weather is cooler. Hopefully we will see more manatees other that the few at Homosassa.

Good video footage. We might be moving to Crystal River from AZ, this summer (2022) Would love to have had some narration (naming the businesses, etc). It was difficult to read several of the store fronts. Appreciate your great, steady videography. Thanks
I moved to Florida in Crystal River form New York a year ago for my health, daughter, n granddaughters. I still cant make it a home. I miss my friends n my job. I left a best friend in new York we were friends for 35 years. People here are nice but they stay to them self no one gets together or hang out. I am a person that likes to do things with people n hang out, go places. People here stay alone that's not me .if I did not have to move here cause of my health i would have stayed in New York I am going to give it more time this is a beautiful town just not for me. 🤷♀️
I'm from here(been years tho), to be invited anywhere u gotta join the church. And there's a feud between the methodist and baptist church so choose wisely😂
I used to live here, so odd to see from a 3rd person perspective. You showed the fair venue I used to go to, the cult-y church I attended, and an abuser's house all in one vid LOL It's nice to visit, but I couldn't live there myself. Too traditional in thinking, you do anything out of the norm and get shunned😅😂
Please tell the chamber of Commerce not to make the town look like a theme park. That's the best way to keep the tourists from moving there. My last time through there was in April, 1971. It was mostly trees and yellow signs indicating we should be on the lookout for deer in the highway. It was such a beautiful place back then.
