I know right? Or if they HAVE to kill off a parent, at least give us a chance to actually care about the character first. Lumera's death meant absolutely nothing to me. I don't care for Toothpaste enough yet to feel sorry for her. In fact, I kind of disliked Lumera after she nearly killed Vander in the previous chapter. In 3 Houses, Jeralt was around long enough to care about him before they killed him off. I always dreaded that chapter while playing the other routes.
Lumera: We'll be able to talk together, share meals... Me: No you won't! You're a Fire Emblem parent! You practically have a target on your back! We can't break tradition!
Even though I saw what was about to happen *250 miles away,* NGL gotta give it to Engage IMO. They made me genuinely feel bad for Alear's loss. Maybe because it was a combo of both Laura (Alear) & Julia (Lumera) giving it 110% on their performances, and the hope spot of Framme's quick thinking of healing the injured Queen (To no avail unfortunately) that just really sold the scene for me. It also *REALLY* says something about this moment when *Sigurd* of all people looks at this moment and can just *taste* how hard it hits home for the guy. *REALLY* looking forward to the story behind Fallen/Excelblem Alear.
I remember during Omega's _FE Fates/if_ playthrough, one of the characters (I think it was Takumi) only got one stat increased and was just as annoyed as Omega was. Probably also had one level up with absolutely nothing You gotta hate those moments.
Damn the game just started and we already have a tear jerker scene also I kinda liked the design of those generic pegasus fliers, shame they had to die though.
*Fire emblem story writers try not to kill off protags parents for 1 nano second. CHALLENGE: [ Impossible ]*

Just speaking of that is just waving a flag parade.
Dumkopfs!

Even without mic I can hear you saying “come ooon” at bad level ups

I'm so sorry, Alear...
Damn, it's just like Fates all over again
Any Plans on streaming some of this or nah?
also: those level-ups, jeez. are they just like that in this game or is your RNG just that horrendous?
it's a mix bag... i've seen equally great level ups and just as many bad one...
