    Very impartial and no random, unnecessary comments. Just straight to the point disassembly and show what connects to what.
    And no biasness too. I love it! Better than jerryrigeverything who got blinded by hate towards certain companies.

      Well it's not always unnecessary comments. Sometimes Jerry point out things that shouldn't been done by companies such as the poor repairability of the S10 series, the unnecessary difficulty to remove the battery of some devices, etc. In terms of the comments he made about politics, I'm also not a big fan of those. But about the rest, not a big deal.

Another method I’ve tried to get the Samsung batteries out is while heating the screen on the heat pad I use a suction cup on the battery, a little ISO alcohol on the right and left gaps of the battery and a plastic pick for the bottom of the battery and that usually works really well for me.

    Good video, that cable you thought was the fingerprint sensor is actually the S pen digitizer that is located behind the LCD. Also the battery requires iso to sit for a little to be removed, that's why there is no tabs. Plastic playing cards = super easy removal after iso has been applied. They generally don't want to heat the battery ever since the Note 7 incident.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya iso works but gets messy sometimes and not a common thing an average person would have on hand. Also many phone manufactures use adhesive and pry tabs that don't require heat. You can pull up and pry the battery off fairly easily with no heat so not sure why Samsung refuses to use them. As for the S pen your right, I realized it after the video. :)

    I'm SO glad the S21 Ultra Exynos has the graphene vapor chamber, unlike the Note 20 Ultra Exynos, which had... nothing, just a layer of whatever it was to protect the oled panel, while the Note 20 Ultra Snapdragon had a copper plate.
    What makes the most sense as to why the cable isn't removable, might be because the S21 Ultra *may* have had problems with the flex cable loosening the side it's now soldered onto the screen assembly, but you know, that's just speculation.
    Overall it seems like it's solid build quality and well-thought out internals.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It has the standard 5G antenna, just not the mmWave 5G that Verizon in the US uses. I believe there is a few other countries which a carrier that may use mmWave 5G but most don't.

    • @stx7389

      @@PBKreviews so would that be a problem regarding signal strength in EU country?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No since the networks there don't use 5G mmwave. It doesn't affect the standard 5G signal strength. For example lets say its 4G vs 3G antenna. If the networks in EU dont have 3G, it wont slow the 4G or degrade the 4G strength. So basically there is no negative to not having it, just wont work for any carrier that uses mmwave 5G technology (which there are very few carriers that do).

    Where is the memory bank? Where all pictures and things are stored? Is it integrated in the main board or is there a own "modul"? Im trying to save data from some samsung s21 ultra phones that ive broke by buying a new one and are planning on removing the backside on the new one and transfer just the memory part from the broken phones so i can get into the phones and transfer the data to my computer. • @PBKreviews

      There is a filter above the hole which covers the opening that leads to the mic. I'm not sure if these button pop out or need to be pushed in. But the volume keys flex cable which has the clickers that register presses is ran through the midframe, so if that needs to be replaced, you would need to pry the screen off as well which would pose a high chance of damaging the working screen.

      @@PBKreviews I popped it out with exactly knife. Volume up clicker was broken. Popped new one in and it's good now. Have better control than trying to use razor blade.

    Hello, I am thinking of buying this phone. Can you please tell us what is the 5g modem used in the phone ? Is it X55 or X60 ?

    Does putting Sim ejector in microphone hole ..damage mic in s21 ultra??

      Hi, no it does not damage it. The mic sits above the hole and so does its filter so you would not damage it.

    Well I stuck the sim removal pin in the wrong hole. Felt some resistance. I'm horrified that I may have damaged a microphone? Great video, was hoping to see what was down there...thanks.

      Thanks. You should be fine. The mic sits above the hole so you wont damage it.
