  • Hey another gem for therapists and clients coming in for hand and thumb conditions, specifically related to the thumb.
This techniques focusses on the opponens pollicis, adductor Pollicis and the lumbricals muscles. They're great to keep in mind when working with rockclimbers and bouldering athletes.
These muscles are also highly overused by hands on therapists especially those who are using their thumbs for deep pressure work. Too many therapists rely on their thumbs, which makes for unsustainable clinical practice. These muscles are an absolute must for all therapists' self care treatment sessions.
Please take the time to watch and understand that treating these muscles and there trigger points are crucial to the wellbeing of therapists and for your hand and thumb athletes.

@stuarthindsacademy More seriously, it's a very relaxing demonstration. I carry a lot of tension in the web area of my hands between my forefinger and thumb on the palm side of both hands. I'd really like to help you demonstrate Part ÌI of this demonstration. Cheers!
