Fine review. I also like the Amber Cologne best, and this #2 from cologne.
My roommate used Kouros in the 90's, got me into frags.
Then left it for 7 years while in Lithuania.
When I came home in 2004, I went to the Mall looking for Kouros. They didn't have it, but ended up getting M-7 Fresh. Loved it and thought it better than M-7.
M7 Fresh had mandarin, ginger, oud basically.
This Bortnikoff Oud cologne is closest frag to M-7 fresh.

Interesting... I have never smelled M7 fresh but I love M7
Oud cologne is okay for me, I like it. But, it’s hard to get Bortnikoff Lite out of my brain. The fragrance by itself is pretty low key wonderful, but it has some pretty heavy completion at that price. I do have to admit that I have reached for it till my decant is almost gone though. Great review! I just got a sample of this and love it. Dry down reminds me of Roja Pierre de Velay 9 with that warm salty feel. I also have Musk Cologne and gave my wife Amber Cologne, because I love it, but it reminds me of Frederic Malle's Lys Mediteranee (which I have) in the white/yellow floral oceanic vibe. It may be better than LM, but I have to keep my wife smelling the best, too!

Cheers Rams, I do like this one and on receipt of my bottle I was indeed a little disappointed for sure . Expecting of course the Oud to Dominate,and I wasn’t yet aquatinted with The Thai Oud profiles,so now and especially having the Feel Oud offerings I get it ,and I do now enjoy the summer wearability of these little beauties,yep I’m a fan now for sure. Amber cologne is in my top two Bortnikoff’s, it was instant love. I should give musk cologne and Oud cologne a try! 👍
Oh yeah you definitely should give some of these other colognes a try.... they are good but I don't think they top Amber Cologne 💪🐏

While I like Bortnikoff’s various musks, I don’t care for how he does citruses- too candy like for me. I wonder if that’s because they’re naturals and photo-realistic citruses (like, say, Pamplemousse Rose) are achieved with aroma-chemicals?
Yeah I think that is a fair statement
I am happy with Amber Cologne but no more of his Cologne line for me :)
Although if a bottle feel in my lap I would wear it occasionally 💪🐏
