    • @arbpaninken6719
      @arbpaninken6719 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      UFC needs some rule tweaks to become as exciting. They need to massively incentivise KOs and finishes like ONE, as their finish rate of 40% is poor compared to ONE's 70% (according to Chatri). UFC give a 'Performance of the Night Bonus' but they need to at least double the reward and give it out more so fighters look to end the fight more. ONE gives almost every single good KO/finish a bonus from Chatri. This is in part due to old rules like 'no kicks to a downed opponent' which was brought in to appease policymakers a long, long time ago who had no understanding of MMA back then, thinking it was a savage sport. This has lead to boring fights in part as fighters crawl on the ground with no risk (Sterling, for example). @@jamescooke7243

    The biggest challenge of UFC MuayThai is the fact that the current best in the world are signed exclusively with ONE. They are huge stars in Asia at the moment, and now slowly getting into Western fanbase - as seen with the Denver show of ONE featuring Rodtang and Stamp. I doubt UFC can pirate fighters as Chatri seem to be deep within Thailand, having great relationship with Thai Army (they own Lumpinee - THE mecca of Muay Thai) allowing ONE to hold Lumpinee events.

And some of his old instructors in said Sityodtong Gym actually joined him in Evolve MMA and still teach there for him. Ure not gonna match a guy like that, it's the equivalent of starting a Wing Chun franchise but you learnt it directly after Ip Man & he appointed you before he passed away to be the main conservator for his lineage for like the whole of Asia lmao

      Yeh I don't think UFC will stand a chance trying to take on Muay Thai and/or kickboxing vs ONE. They basically own the sport now, their boss is a super savvy half Thai half Japanese martial arts expert with great connections to boot, which means they have a lockdown on Asian talent, which is basically 90% of MT. Tbh the UFC doesn't need to compete here, they just need to do their own MMA thing, change the rules to make more exciting fights and stop pushing 'marketable' western fighters that have no genuine world class talent.

As a former student of TKD and Muay Thai, and current student of Okinawan Goju Ryu karate, I’m so grateful for their different categories: MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Grappling. Students and fans of martial arts get to witness masters perform at their given disciplines. Names I would have never heard of before like Liam Harrison, Jonathan Haggerty, Nong-O, Superlek, Rodtang are now the names I look forward to seeing as the fight headliners. @@ilovejesusalways because the adaptive striking to grappling is not pure striking.. 🤦🏽‍♂️ to begin with, Rodtang is far from the best muay thai fighter in the world 😂 #casualtake , and DJ is arguably the best technician MMA has EVER seen, so. And Rodtang was fuckin DJ UP in the first round, thats why DJ had such a determination to finish the fight in the MMA-round. One Championship Muay Thai is the best stand up being put on display of any promotion currently in existence, the biggest names putting on THE best fights ... Guys like Nong O, Rodtang, Rodlek, Superlek, Saemapetch, Tawainchan, Sittichai, Superbon, Yodsanklai and many more ... People are getting viciously knocked out left and right with precision and flair and there's constant shifts in rankings, one minute someone's at the top and you think they're gonna take home a belt and the next fight they end up getting sparked, the energy in the crowd and in the ring is unmatched at One right now, in just one event Friday Fights 41 just a few days ago there were like 12 knockouts in total between opponents from the start of the undercards leading to the main event and most of them got up from those knockouts and started beating the ever living shit out of each other it was absolutely insane ... UFC has its moments like once or twice a year but One is all out savagery on a whole other level with a skill set you just don't see in the UFC ... Hands down best fights are happening at One Super Series MT, other amazing performances to note is Nong O vs Saemapetch, just recently Mungthai vs Yodlekpet happened two weeks ago, another is Temirlan Bekmurzaev vs Johan Ghazali, shit EVERY fight thus far whether it be the undercards or the main event is Dynamite ... GO watch ONE FC.

    As someone who isn't really much of an MMA person, I think the biggest reasons I don't watch more MMA are the following:
    1.) I don't like watching submission holds/wrestling/grappling/sitting on top of someone beating them like you're some kinda school yard bully.
    2.) I do not want to watch some guy break another guys arm or leg, or anything even remotely like that simply because his opponent won't tap.
    3.) I hate undisciplined/selfish fighters. People who talk shit. People who strike enemies after they're clearly unconscious or unable to defend themselves just to secure a win because the Ref isn't paying attention or because the Ref wants to give the other guy a chance.
    Like if a dude's gets rattled hard enough to hit the factory reset button for even a millisecond it should be like "Nope, fights over, if your enemy wanted to kill you while that was going on -- they could have. Fight's over." I don't care if the other guy didn't capitalize on it, I don't care if the guy thinks he could still fight. If it were a fight to the death, you'd have just died.
    I'm probably not the target audience though.

    Remember that gesture Max Holloway when he opened his arms then pointed at the cage floor inviting the opponent to stand and bang. That's One FC Muay Thai every time. Traditional Muay Thai fights in most of Thailand aren't like that. It's a little slower paced and mostly a game of finding holes in the opponents game and exploiting them. All out wars do happen but when you're fighting almost every other week in Thailand, you can't be banging out every fight. A more methodical fighting strategy makes your career last longer.
