    My husband just purchased me this model for tackling some unruly trees and shrubs. I don't know how to use it yet, but I found this helpful. Thank you for the video!

    I loved mine for it's multiple uses as well. Definitely made plenty of outdoor jaunts with this beast. About to pull the trigger to replace mine. I used it for a few month's and it grew legs and left me😡.

    This is a great little saw . I also own its big brother and a chain saw . Its excellent for one handed quick cuts . I use sabre blades .

    Just bought one of these! Tried it on wood and metal, it cuts both fairly easily. It definitely has a short stroke compared to the larger units but seems to have plenty of power and I like its compact size and 1 hand operation. Will definitely be easier than using a hacksaw! I also have both the Dewalt brushed and brushless circular saws and both of them work awesome!

    I finally put my old corded Milwaukee Sawzall out of its misery today and had to watch this video just to make sure this fancy compact dewalt that I didn't even know existed until tonight takes the same batteries I have already and it turned out to be a convincing review. Thanks

    Good “To the point video” The only thing I would have liked to know about is if or how much the shorter stroke affects cutting. Standard reciprocating saw have a longer cutting stroke. Is there a notable difference? I too use mine for outdoor branch and small tree cutting and the ability to use with one hand is enticing.

      I don't notice much a difference due to stroke length as compared to my 12-amp corded Bosch recip. That said, I rarely actually used the corded one because it was so big and bulky whereas I use this all the time.

    Gardening is my main use for this saw and I was glad to see you use it in the garden. I noticed you were wearing heavy duty gloves. Is that necessary to prevent blisters? I get blisters with my LARGE dewalt sawzall. Thanks.

    Nice review I use mine to cut Conduit daily in tight spots. Other than that I use my Bandsaw.

    The short stroke length is a drawback-5/8” is far too short to be used consistently.

    Can the reciprocating saw do nice cuts in wood, like for finishing carpentry pieces?

    • @aaronsrapidreviews
      @aaronsrapidreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Any bi-metal blade will work. I like the carbide tipped ezarc brand on Amazon.

    I own this saw and use it for very specialized things that require the precision of a jigsaw but the form factor of a recip saw. I do NOT recommend it for the most part. It is slow to cut anything with the short stroke and frankly it's not even very small compared to dewalts xr compact. Money much better spent on other tools

    • @aaronsrapidreviews
      @aaronsrapidreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I disagree and think it's great. I also own a full-size Bosch recip saw and it hasn't left it's case since I bought the DeWalt. For me at least, any shortcomings due to power/stroke length are more than made up for by superior ergonomics and portability.

    The saw sucks slowest in class m18 fuel is much faster and stronger longer stroke at 7/8's of an inch call it an inch..while the dewalt has alot going for it weight size and with the powerstack its the lightest but when you need to get through material m18 fuel hackzall the real hackzall... but great video a little misleading saying the best 👌 👍

      This saw was designed for plumber's who cut copper pipe in tight areas where you don't want that longer stroke length rattling the pipe
