I don't mind the head and neck being two separate pieces, what I mind is the neck looking so thin. Gives the Keaton Batman an almost Kilmer profile, but I think the rest is amazing.

I was looking forward to your review especially. I totally agree. If they could put a solid neck piece on the Hush Batman, which no one wanted, why didn't they do it for this Batman, which was a major part of its look? The Flash Keaton Batman figure has a much better look because of the thicker neck area. I agree, the NECA head/cowl looks way better to the McFarlane 89 Batman figure. I hope somebody does a custom with the NECA head on this new body.

When sitting batman in put his feet in a tip toe position, there is a default hole for his feet to pass through so he could sir lower

Thanks for doing this review. I bought this. The box it came in was HUGE. 2 boxes to get to the actual toy box. I have the Batman from the movie set, AND this one. The only real difference is the yellow is gold. I love how big it is. This doesn't even have a finish. It's just plastic. No paint.

Yes. It appears to be just plastic. But, his car wasn't glossy, in the film. So, it's screen accurate.@@dHuntersReviews

The fig in this set reminds me more of the Batman Forever suit in the first half of the movie
The cowl makes it looks off
I think Toddy done the fans right with this one. I bought an advanced ticket in 89' to see this movie. My bike was destroyed on the way to the theater by a hit and run driver. I could have killed the driver, but i remembered my Batman rule ' Batman doesn't kill ' he just drops his enemies into a boiling vat of toxic, noxious chemicals. Deforms them and continues to kick their ass in😂😜😛

I wasn't keen on the bat mobile, even didnt try to get the first version.. but I need that Keaton batman..really looks great, but got surprised how it feels hollow &lightweight,.still cool for display..lol! on that push button, I remember watching one reviewer and he didnt know too😅, I wouldnt have thought that's a button til you demo it.

Seeing all the different Keaton Batmans side-by-side, The Mcfarlane one actually looks the best despite not having the most accurate head sculpt.

Hi D , I don't'mind the head at all . Seems like alot of people do. . Hated the way the Neca figure turns whole cowl and symbol. Can't wait for mine to come !

I found that JL RC Ultimate Batmobile at Goodwill awhile back for 7 bucks, it was missing the canopy cover and some guns, but I couldn't pass it up for that price. Loaded the RC app on an old phone and WHOA....it worked!

I swapped the heads on mine - I cut the emblem off the Neca one and replaced the dumbbell for the neck-awesome looking!!
I could never deface my Neca one like that it’s so good.

I was thinking about getting this set but the cowl not being one piece blew it for me. Its not a bad figure but it had to look EXACTLY like 89 for me to get it.

I put the Michael Gough Alfred head on the Gotham Alfred body for height. Head is a little small and needs some putty but the height is good.

Great comparisons. Quick note, that pointed, rounded piece on the front of the Batmobile is not a missile. Many people make that mistake though. How disappointed were you that that hugely disappointing, horrible Flash movie did absolutely nothing with the Batmobile besides show it briefly getting it's tarp pulled of by that other super hero? I felt so letdown by that movie but this McFarlane set helps ease my woes.
It was in Batgirl, I wish they drove it at least once in the Flash!
Technically, I would just superglue the whole thing and put a mold to where it’s seamless because he had to turn his entire body

I think that if you dunk the figure into hot water you can soften the glue and plastic enough to pry the chest emblem and cowl off the McFarlane and NECA.
Then you can swap them. I wouldn't do it if you don't feel comfortable customizing figures.

I also like the NECA Batman more, but he looks like a guy burnt out after a long day compared to the McFarlane figure. Mezco is definitely the best as far as looking like Keaton. I own it and I just don't like it as a figure, however.
I want the Batmobile. I never kept up with McFarlane to be able to hit the small buying windows.

OMG your cats name is Mulder! I love the X files! I want them to continue Mulder and Scully stories instead of rebooting it, the real problem with the figure is the neck it is too skinny, if they made it wide like on The Flash movie Batman it would have been fine I'm thinking maybe there's some way to transplant that neck piece to the 1989 Batman

Batmobile got two holes for the legs its just hard to fit it

I think it's a shame they got the neck so wrong. It throws off the whole silhouette and design of the suit immensely. Even if they'd kept the head head articulation but made the neck thicker so it's articulation point is near invisible like they did on the Flash Keaton Batman. Apart from that I think the figure looks great but hopefully they fix him for the inevitable single release. It would be an easy fix too, they just need to redo the collar/neck overlay piece.
