This video is quite good for selling the game, I think. Here's why: you are both experienced players, and accustomed to larger and more complex battles. And yet, you certainly seemed to be enjoying even this comparatively small skirmish. That says a lot, to me.
@TTAlliance thanks for this! So irrespective of numbers of dice involved, if both players roll one single six then it's a draw? Or two sixes beat one six?
If it ends a tie and both fight values are the same you go to a single dice roll. 123 goes to evil 456 goes to good. Elven blades effect this dice roll by 1 in the favour of the model who has the blade
@ The previous edition was not that. It was paired is such a way that all models in base contact with enemy models are assigned to a fight. Interpreting that as prioritizing 1v1 fights was one of the most common rule error in my experience- was wondering if they would just change the rule to that in the new edition.
@@Philographicks The previous rulebook states that you need to separate fights into 1v1s where possible. For example if 2 orcs are in base-contact with 1 warrior of rohan, then that would be a 2v1. But if 1 of those orcs is also in base contact with a different warrior of rohan, then you would split that fight into 2 1v1s
@@TheNetterRiese If you read the section, they state that (always paired off in 1v1 fights wherever possible) as the end result of applying the rules, not as a rule. Further, it is a false statement. The rules provide at two-step procedure, and that procuedure does not provide a guarantee of that end result (always paired off in 1v1 wherever possible). First, you ensure that all models are engaged in a fight. Second, if models could participate in more than one fight, the decision is up to the priority player - no restriction to maintain nor maximize the number of 1 on 1 fights. So if a model could choose between joining a 1v1 fight or joining a 2v1 fight, it's up to the priority player - he has no obligation to join the 2v1 fight to maximize the number of 1v1 fights. This had to be clarified so many times that the sentence that says to maximize pairing in 1v1 fights actually does not do anything in the rule book that they just had to remove it in the errata in February 2024. So I'm confused why they would but it back in to the new edition.
Great video! Since you already have the books could you tell me what General Hunter and Fearful special rules do? I still don't have mine and I really want to know for the Angmar army that was already released in pdf:)
How about a guide on list building and how it works/how many points you use/what a list should look like/table size/how much terrain to use, etc
Yeah good shout 😊
Awesome video, the basic information covered so people can start the game. Also fantastic job getting the models painted 💪🏼
Thank you ☺️
The refresher i needed
Love your videos guys, thank you 😁
Thank you. 😊🙌
Hope you feel better soon 🤒
Nice work
Thanks! ☺️

@@majkus Thanks! Yeah we love any aspect of this game
Maybe I missed it, but do spears no longer prevent being knocked prone after being charged by a cavalry unit?
😍
Nice video guys, don’t forget about archer rule, 1 archer to every 3 models. Looking forward to the more “intermediate” vid 👍
Haven’t forgotten. But this video was about the basics of playing. Not building armies 😉 will perhaps make an army building video soon!
Great video, thanks
You’re welcome ☺️
Quick and easy
Very nice
Thanks a lot 😊
For fighting and deciding who wins, is it a cumulative title or highest role on a single dice?
@@alastairprince5827 highest roll on a single dice 😊
@TTAlliance thanks for this! So irrespective of numbers of dice involved, if both players roll one single six then it's a draw? Or two sixes beat one six?
If one player rolls one six and the other player rolls two sixes but the fight values are still the same it is still a draw :)

So they changed the fight pairing rule?
No it’s still the same? Paired to individual fights where possible?
