I'll be so happy the day people learn that R888s aren't all that they're cracked up to be. They're made as a track day tire that needs some time to get up to temp to have optimum grip. Get yourselves some 200tw Autocross specific tires. They heat up and offer better grip much quicker and at lower temps.
I can always appreciate your selection of music for the videos you kill it when it comes to that plus the reviews and everything else you still have EDC inside you Las Vegas!!
Whether it's a small ducktail or a massive chassis mount, wings/spoilers just never look silly on S15's. They just pull it off well. But they do look a bit odd and naked without one at all. Everything about the build is stunning though. The guy really is a wizard.
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts looks better ? Hahaha your funny ! And OEM + is boring its been done a million times ! And thats why I like most of his other cars !

@@connoisseuroftigolbitts his other cars aint mostly OEM+ dude ! Most of them have totally different motors in them ! Like i said before your a clown !
Beautiful build. I'd definitely check that thermostat though. My stock cooling system is too good as well but the thermostat makes sure to keep the block at it's rated temp.
are you sure it’s not a thermostat valve stuck open issue? Or running one that opens at too cold a temperature? My dads truck would do the same thing and he only drove 2 miles to work. Only realized it when we drove far after a couple years
It's definitely a thermostat issue. If it was closed when it was supposed to be, the cooling system would be irrelevant, because the coolant would have no way to flow out of the engine as long as the interior heater is off, which would warm the engine much quicker.
I think this Silvia is absolutely gorgeous! The S15, the S13, and the CSP311 would be my personal picks if I were to ever own one. However, this is a bit of a hot take here, but I think this REALLY should've had an RB or a built SR20... Leave the 2J's in the Toyota's, that's my opinion... Honestly, a CSP311 with a built SR20 or even a stock RB26 would be pretty sick, thinking about it XD
Sounds like you need to change the thermostat or have manual switches for the cooling fan/fans because it’s ridiculous to not be able to just jump in and be able to drive your car. It shouldn’t not warm up it should not overheat 🤷♂️🤦🏼♂️
I dont wanna be a prick but please tell James to fix his belt harness, i see they are pointing straight down behind the chair, thats a huge nono, in a crash youd bang up your whole spine :(((
You guys sure you don't have a broken thermostat?... Someone else mentioned maybe you have a low temp thermostat. If so, from personal experience, stock temp coupled with a phat cooling package gets you what you want for street builds 👌
I get it I get it, the 2jz is great and works perfect, not shitting on this build, if I wasn’t broke I’d go rb simply to keep it Nissan, but fr clean ass car
That beautiful engine bay tho. Omfg is that thing nice. Makes me even more motivated to do my do my NaT build. GTE rods n pistons on the 2jz-ge vvti in my gs300
I just got my s15 back from the shop…it’s making 470whp but it barely spins as it originally has the auto 3.9 final drive. I’m kind of conflicted as wheel spin sounds tempting but at the same time it makes the car slower?!….
Very curious in what the cooking set up is 800whp 2jz 350z and def want to know any tips at keeping it cool while abusing. Also its sad to see those baby calipers behind something soo fast
Great car except for the cooling issue and the complete lack of traction etc. I would say this isn't a "drivers car" if its not easy to drive. How much rear negative camber? Maybe detune the motor for less power or shift the powerband to make it more drivable (or both).
I'm so weak, I have been working on a S15 in FH5, rear wheel drive with 1160 HP and the racing 2jz engine swap so I know exactly what you mean because I can't get it to corner but the thing goes stupid fast on a straight away
It seems like for most cars, the suspension parts that keep the big hp planted or at least tamed also reduce cornering ability. In my experience depending on the car you have, 400-800 hp allows for a good balence of speed and cornering
This car right here is the exact reason why I dedicated more of my time to the off-road game and sold my 2020 gt500. What is the point of having a car that doesn’t even get up to operating temperature by the time you get to work, also taking 40 minutes to get up to operating temperature before you can do a boost pull? And then, when you do get up to temperature, you have no traction whatsoever. Also, the guy says he never drives it. What is the point of owning that stupid car? so pretty much what he saying is it’s a garage piece for you to look at. Car guys are an odd bunch, have always thought that.
You’re not alone in this thinking. I’d like to think there are people with to much money and put it into cars just to show off rather than being an enthusiast. This car seems very pointless, a 300hp s15 would be enough but people chase HP and builds for “clout” rather than having a useful cars. Off-road is where it’s at, purpose built to be used and abused.
Props to the owner, this car had a MAJOR come up over the years
The sequel we never knew we’d get 🙏

The amount of trust the owner has in David to let him drive this car let alone do it without even wearing a seatbelt is crazy.
He's let him drive all his cars. Including jasmine the black evo
They've been friends for ages
Dang, I remember, when you guys did that roadtrip with this car, crazy to see where all that time has gone!

Florida. The first time I saw an S15 or S14 was near Boca Raton, more than 20 years ago. Most beautiful sound from a car at the time.
