In this episode on Tekniq, we will walk through a local factory in China that produces metallic spheres of many different sizes for decoration products.
@@brianmacintire3064 nope, I do not rememer. That would be the generation of my first supervisor. The company hired him as a welder and had him welding galvanized steel, without ventilation. He got the supervisor position because of it and didn't live too long after I worked there.
@@commodoresixfour7478 this is some very unusual FU situation. even in a small car repair shops people use masks and ventilation, or at least fan with open doors. I literaly never ever saw someone welding without mask

I really don't get it.
its probably hypnotizing indeed if you are welding without a welding-visor to protect your eyes.... i can imagine these guys see the sun shining even when its dark
I would be far more impressed if the workers had made some small half spheres, stuffed them with rags and used them as ear defenders. Large steel spheres, just aren't worth the loss of your hearing.
⚙️OMFG⚙️ as far as i can tell, that grinder at 4:55 is a 5hp 3-phase motor with a stone, two sticks, and some duct tape [for safety] my safety-team leader is twitching
Absolutely no hearing protection I could not see any eye protection it’s insane. How are these humans going on for 30 years if they’re lucky maybe 40 years before they’re blind and deaf.
This video is the prequel to every China workplace disaster video. Life is cheap in China. Ears are cheaper than hearing protection. Eyes are cheaper than a welding mask. Lungs are cheaper than a respirator. Crazy.
My heart goes out to those who died getting sliced up if the weld snapped by chance at 6:09 and to those who have lost their limbs and blinded eyes in making wobbly steel balls.
Well, we criticise the lack of PPE etc, but remember, H+S is a long way off for many countries as profit is king, people are disposable. Remember this next time you order something 'made in china' :-s
WOW! en chine l'artisanat, la main d'oeuvre specialisee et des outils archaiques reviendraient moins cher qu'une decoupeuse laser et hydroforming??? par pression ou explosifs.
Spheres like these are primarily utilize to hold gases enter stream and high pressures and low temperatures. specifically fuels and pressure and gases used to run rockets and missiles. Now ask yourself, are you going to buy a critical piece of equipment for the application that you’re building from the company that has so low regard for the health safety of their workers then if they tried running his plant in the United States, oh she would put its owners and management in prison? if you don’t respect your workers, the workers don’t respect quality the workers don’t respect quality what to producing is crap. The bottom line is what we’re watching being built here is nothing but complete total shit. Be outright destroyed because it can’t be trusted due to the way the employees are treated.
Everybody complaining about the safety of the workers here. But that's why China is cheaper and we all need to buy from them cuz we are poor. Complain against ours gouvernements
Use for anti submarine. These will be under water in cages in the scs. When US subs pass over without the right frequency. The cage opens and release these spheres with explosive.
Whatever you need a stainless sphere for. Mostly decorations, i guess, but they would also work as storage tanks, chemical or biological reactors. (think brewing beer)

TIG welding without any type of protection 😮
At least he had his safety squints on.

welding with no helmet, no ventilation- super great for eyes and lungs
almost exactly like America did for generations remember.

Find out how to donate your knowledge and equipment. Or just comment on a youtube video, your choice.. LOL
I don't like watching these guys burn their eyeballs to a crisp with a welder.
Everything in this factory was horribly unsafe. Everything!
It’s why it’s cheap my dude. Steel more valuable than human. QED.

You can’t tell anyone about the accident if you’re dead 🤫
Welcome to China bud. That's their trademark work conditions.
así trabajan tooodos los chinitos ojitos de alcancía
I will NEVER complain about MY job again!
It not easy to earn money in China.no health no medical service.
Complaining is useless anyway, without organization.
I was hoping this would be the kind they make using hydroforming...
it was

wow! no safety goggles.
Half of those guys will go blind in a few years. Yes super china is so great 😂😂
Only whiners use safety glasses, masks, gloves, and hearing protection. But the toughest guys are in India, they walk around such halls barefoot.
That home made grinding tool was hard core that electric motor was massive lol 😂 did you see the scaffolding lol 😂
Man that was badass !

That thing is pretty clever
Not so sure it's a stone, looks like a polishing mop the way it's mounted ? Still looks a bit sketchy though ?
But very cost effective
3m deburing wheel, kinda like scotchbrite, not hard, somewhat rubbery.
By now all have been replaced, blind men aren't useful.
Good, guys, welding with no UV protection for their eyes. In fact, very little safety of any kind.
That is pretty standard over there, and in a lot of 3rd-world countries. Sad, but true.
Why waste the money, slave labor
Pregunta: para que sirven esas bolas ?
без защитных очков работают. и голыми руками У них нехватает шарики на голове

If the guys cutting the curved panels by hand get off the line….they are shot and turned into a panel
Hard to follow a line when blind from using plaz torch without protection.
Big Balls of Steel!
While cool and all watching what the hell do you need steel spheres, of all sizes, for? Look at the size off that grinder😮
They are pressure vessels
Starlink satellites
UAP
?
This is one of the facilities I'm taking!
Dragon balls...
Poke balls....

So, these huge polished spheres cost the eyes and ears of Chinese workers, to make pretty landscapes...
all this, FOR THIS!!!!
It's funny that one of them is using a Covid rated mask for dust.
I suppose it could be more unsafe... if there were dragons
dragons refused to work in those conditions.
Вот где звезды и планеты создаются :))))
The freedom to work without PPE. Yeah!!
The Chinese have BALLS OF STEEL. even if they are hollow

Not a pair of safety glasses in da house.
Christmas decorations?

Everyone complains about the work practices, yet you still purchase made in China products.
Zinc plated bamboo!

Lack of safety culture is how China manufactures things so cheap. I even needed hearing protection watching this vid

What incredible purpose do these spheres serve to risk human life and safety to get them?
This is just wot I need ..... Why I need it I'll figure out later .... Send me lots a them ....
Do they know plasma cutters can also blind them permanently??? smh
Is there really that much demand for steel spheres?
Well, we criticise the lack of PPE etc, but remember, H+S is a long way off for many countries as profit is king, people are disposable. Remember this next time you order something 'made in china' :-s
Some narration would have been helpful. For example; it wasn't really made clear how they were hydroforming some of the larger spheres.
Here is one way of hydroforming large steel spheres. Impressive. th-cam.com/users/shortspm6hM77JD3w
The inescapable observation: what do they need so many sheet metal spheres for?! Somebody tell me if this is done kind of Feng Sui thing
ok - I order two of the big ones - but what for ??
only a few masks, no ear protection and no welding helmets, oh my. love it though, getting sh*t done. I've used many spheres in my line of work.
ça c'est de la trigonométrie sphérique
DOESN'T ANYONE HERE HAVE HEARING PROTECTION? ...WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!!!
Safety - why all manufacturing went over seas. Money is worth more than lives. Very sad.
Nice
They'd make good buoys if a lug got welded to them but besides that, just for putting in the yard is silly.
Where the F is your welding helmet.. damnit!
