Its been 63 years since I left with my family and enjoy looking at video of the island. One day I will try and visit the island. Thank you. ps. Hope everyone had an awesome holiday.
What a fantastic video! Thankyou for all your excellent journeys across our beautiful Island! You have a brilliant talent because this film captures the real essence of a true experience here! You have a wonderful Family Sir! When i see things like this it makes me proud to be an Islander and i hope you return some day!
I really liked your video of the Isle of Wight. I have visited the island for many years and found this video very informative. Well done for an excellent video.
I visited the IOW for a week back in the 70s from London with my primary school as a child and I absolutely loved it. Last year for my 50th my partner took me back there… We stayed in Ryde, travelled by hovercraft over to Southsea and back and drove around the island just loving to see all the random places we travelled through and taking in all the tree’s and plants that don’t usually appear on the mainland. The IOW is truly a special and beautiful island x
Best video I’ve seen of. our lovely island. And what a lovely family too. You packed so much in. Probably needed a diet for a couple of weeks afterwards! 🤣
Ah thank you James! We had so much fun as we love action packed holidays. I can confirm I did have to get some extra runs in for about two months afterwards to shift some of that food 😅
I really enjoyed your video about your holiday on IOW. My grandparents bought a house in Ryde after the second world war, my father was stationed there near Shanklin, in the RAF and my uncle was a prison warder/PT instructor at Parkhurst prison. So from the age of 2 I have spent many happy holidays there, every school holiday right up to when I was a teacher of handicapped children in London and took two groups of 16 year olds there for a week every year. I have always loved the laid back way life is on the island, its always 3 to 5 degrees warmer there than the mainland, its very clean, very little crime and a great place to take kids. The food and the beer is plentiful and you know what it is, the money's British, we drive on the left, we speak English, there's hardly any bugs......Who needs Spain of Portugal? It brought back many memories for me, well done. PS..I am now 73.
Great video - so glad I found it as we're heading to IOW this summer with our 13 year old and this has given me some great ideas for places to visit that I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere else. Thank you! 😊
Fantastic video. I used to visit the island with my family in the 70s/80s. I'm 50 now and live in Australia and miss the island an awful lot. Whenever I got back to the UK I would always get the ferry over for a few days. Fingers crossed I'll be able to again soon!
Hi mate , I'm here to thank you for your video. It will be very useful for me because I'm going to visit Isle of Wight in two weeks time and you helped me a lot showing beautiful places which I must visit. Thank you very much. All the best for you and your family. Joao
What a beautiful trip around my beautiful island. Glad you enjoyed your visit and thanks for showing it off so well. Wish our marketing department believed in you tube!!!! I loved my virtual tour as will many others.
Just found your video on the isle of Wight great video. We are going there in September this is one of the best videos on you tube about the isle of Wight you covered a lot 😀
Hello, charming and divine!!!!Definitely worth a visit and a vacation in the U.K. the location is unknown to me but I do like it!!! I love those horses walking along the beach. Fish and chips I love them too! Thank you so much for sharing! Stay safe friends. Regards.
Sorry iys portsmouth to Fishbourne lol xx lovely video I'm originally from the isle.of wight so lovely to see the sights again x made me.feel homesick the botanical gardens are beautiful and did you find Ventnor quite hilly thank-you for the memories
Yes, I've no idea why I typed Southampton, especially as I'd already said in the opening scene we were on our way to Portsmouth! A 'DOH' moment! Ventnor was quite hilly, and the walk from the gardens to Steephill Cove was quite a trek - but it was all worth it for us! :D
Planning a holiday with the family and wanted to know where you guys stayed as your holiday looked amazing! Know you travelled around but where was the best base?
Very comprehensive tour of most places of interest on the island - you must have done a lot of research first. Maybe you'll be doing other places in Britain too. Music a little tedious, perhaps a touch too loud over your fine dialogue.
Sorry you feel that way...with sights like Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle and The Needles we feel there is plenty to explore on the Isle of Wight :-)
You could spend some of your time Hunting for All Colours Sam, The Sandown Clown who last appeared to two children in May 1973 near the Sandown Golf Course. This spook should freak you out if you bump into It.🤡

@@winsperstravelvids7063 There's a lot less of Blackgang Chine! A lot of it has fallen away into the sea over the years.

How long was your holiday for as I’m planning to go soon
I’m going to the isle of white on the 11th of July and coming back home on the 16th of July so yeah
love the isle of wight best place on the planet
I quite agree
Tot hill services!! That’s where I live 😂

We were camping and stayed at The Orchards Caravan and Camping Park, on the west of the island 😀
Can we hire a boat for a short trip?I'm going in 2 weeks
Ferry was from Portsmouth to Fishbourne not Southampton
Yes, you're right, our bad
Oh and unless you REALLY want upset the locals. It's just Cowes. Not West Cowes...
They get terribly cross about that....😂
Oh dear...if there's any thumbs downs then I know why 😅
which is the best hotel to stay there?
We were camping this time so not too sure on hotels
Tiny point. Wightlink sails from Portsmouth. Not Southampton..
Thanks! As mentioned on the other comments, I'd even said we were on our way to Portsmouth in the intro so no clue why I typed Southampton! 🙈
👌🏽

What a boring holiday other than a beach and a festival that goes on once a year what else is there to do.

Please just have a holiday here don't come and live here we are almost full with migrants from the North Island
Good scranners lol 😆
