Always love this island. After 50+ years of visiting we are now trying to live there. Just have to find the right place to buy or land to build if possible. You really don’t need a car as buses are good and footpaths are so well organised with great maps.
I have spent quite some time on the IOW. However it was for a work assignment. What sparks my interest the most is how the IOW is preservation. Keep it the way it is. I've been there as recent as late 2023. Sadly some of my favourite places have succumbed to attrition. Like that quaint eater in Chale Green. Oh watchout for the red squirrels. Have to say never seen one on the island. Always enjoyed the Red Funnel. Plan to get back once more to enjoy the IOW annual festival. Thanks for sharing
Aww thanks for your lovely comment 🙏🏼 it is a wonderful place, I'm glad you enjoyed our video! I hope videos like ours will encourage more investment into the region and reduce the attrition of these unique heritage sites 👍🏼
The IOW certainly has great options to participate in outdoor activities and I would enjoy walking along that stunning coastline. Loved the gardens at Osborne House too and the quirky accommodation you stayed. Definitely one added to my list! Thanks for introducing it ❤️
Great video! Isle of Wight is so beautiful, and I am grateful that you are showing all these lovey places. I have walked a bit of the coastal paths, and seen the Needles and some other things. And hope one day to to the full circular. So these tips are very beautiful and really useful 😊
Beautiful 😍 Isle of Wight has been in my bucket list for quite while now ! I'd really love to visit there someday soon !!! My late dad's accountant's wife once told me she loved Isle of Wight the best in England when she visited England !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Great in depth coverage of so many places! 😊 Many years past I went to Isle of Wight via Wightlink car ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. I plan to return but without car, what ferry options are there from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier if on foot?
Thanks so much! Great spot. Unsure about foot passenger options from those spots, we've only done the crossing once and that was from Southampton with our car.
There is passenger Ferry, from Portsmouth harbour to Ryde Pier, the Hovercraft, from Southsea to Ryde, then you also have the Red Funnel Passenger Ferry from Southampton to Cowes.
Great blog showing off our beautiful Isle of Wight. What a shame our marketing department don’t vlog like you do!!! although I live here, I really enjoyed following you round the island
Thanks Lyn! Actually, the marketing department for Visit Isle of Wight invited us over and they actually got to keep all of our best shots from the trip! Hopefully they use it 😁
Fantastic vid of the isle of wight. Most ive seen are all dreary and highlighting how dull and horrible it is. This makes the isle of wight look very nice, all places have dreary parts but youve shown some of the good things. Fantastic videoing guys, great coverage. I wonder what work there is on the island for a builder, who can do most things like myself or is work non existant there? Anybody know? Tia.
This is such a lovely video! We have a friend who lives there and wow I want to visit, all the way from Jerusalem! What time of the year was this filmed? Also, does the RF still use Queen Victoria's house? This seems like a much better destination than many of their homes!
Thank you for the lovely comment ❤️ we visited in April last year. I’m not sure if they still use that house, it’s set up for tourists at the moment so I’m really not sure! I hope you get the chance to visit someday 😁
It’s all nice and charming when you only point out the few nice places. I think we are clearly forgetting about the dodgy parts of ryde, newport and more.
We just toured the island and visited the main spots. Though it’s worth mentioning every country/city/destination has areas that are less touristic, that’s the way it is.
Well ,I think grammatically you're right ,but it's a places name so " in" is correct also ! For example, we say " I was in Hawaii "! & " We're in Fiji "! Both are islands, too !! Lol. But, also they're the name of the places !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

People being scalped at £400 for a ferry return trip to the mainland during Cowes week. The cost of travel to and from is a joke. It’s also an extremely boring place to live on with zero facilities. It doesn’t even have a dentist! AVOID the IOW,
I lived on the Isle of Wight for 57 years and left the island in 2022. Thank you for bringing these scenes back to me. ❤❤
Awww thanks Antony, Glad we could transport you back through space and time! ❤️
So tempted to live here one day. Get away from mainland chaos
Go for it!! Make your dreams come true 🤩❤️🙌🏼
I thoroughly enjoyed this clip. Absolutely gorgeous views where you were, this was very, well done. Thank you.

Aww amazing!! Good luck on your goal! ❤️❤️❤️
I came here by ferry only to clean a ventilation shaft in Newport, in and out job.... I wish I saw more of the place, it looks gorgeous.
You'll have to come back for a holiday sometime!
One of my favourite places in the UK on a sunny day! Feels like you are abroad
We can see why! The coastal walk to The Needles was incredible
Subscribed. Nice polished video. I’m going to check out more 👍

Yes of course, it was maybe a half hours walk. And you start at Freshwater Bay and head up towards Tennyson Down 😊 very well signposted
What month of the year did you visit? The weather looks great but not Summer temps yet...
