- Join us as we head to The Needles Landmark Attraction as part of our weekend trip to the Isle Of Wight! The Needles are 3 stacks of chalk that rise around 30m out of the sea with a picturesque lighthouse located next to them. In this vlog we take a ride on the classic Chair Lift and experience spectacular views across the beautiful Alum Bay. Along with that we take a boat ride out to see The Needles close up. We also check out the other small rides on offer at The Needles along with taking a look at the gift shops!

the way shawn presents his videos on TPW is spot on , as in excellently done !! charlotte making her appearances on TPW really makes this channel even more enjoyable to watch!! i never would of known about all the parks and places in the world that exist if it weren't for both of shawn's youtube channels!! love em both!! until our next adventure , take care and may god bless both shawn and charlotte!!!
I used to prefer the Vlogs and content the various trips he had with Alex and Martin and some others as there was a more interesting dynamic.
Nice to see that Shawn and Charlotte now enjoy their adventures together and what a lovely way for boyfriend and girlfriend to spend time doing what they enjoy. 👍

The isle of wight coloured sand is amazing, and yes the stairs are hard work for people like me who cant do the chair lift . Hope you enjoyed the residents friendliness.😃 when I was a child there were only something like 4 stalls, one of which was coloured sand and a carousel.The stalls were wooden.

I’m going to the Isle Of Wight for a week for a school trip. This is a big coincidence, this video and the Robin Hill Country Park were released in the same days I’m going there. LOL! I’m going to the Needles on the 22nd June and Robin Hill Country Park 23rd June. We go 20th June to the 24th June.
Needles, Needles, Needles, Needles, Needles...£6 to park! Loved it really enjoyed watching this one guys. You two are certainly made for each other and Shawn you present so professional to the camera. I was amazed you were recognised from another chair lift rider. Haven't been to the needles for about two years and have never ridden those chair lifts but I have been to the battery on top of the needles. Use to go Isle of Wight all the time as a child . Have started taking my children but we haven't been in years. They have watched these videos with me and cannot wait till we visit hopefully in the summer

Been many years since I rode the chairlift. But if you ever go back, you must include a trip on the open top bus up to the Needles Battery. Probably Britain's most spectacular bus route clinging to the cliff edge right up to the top. Almost like a theme park itself, especially coming down the hairpins with the sheer drop. Although not a coaster fan (too big to fit anyway), I love watching your blogs.

The speed boat is amazing, well worth it. You get quite close and some air time too, as it can pick up some speed

Wow what a mad location that is for that chair lift never seen one on edge of a cliff hill like that before bet your stomach turns when you go over the top be one to do on the bucket list thats for sure and whod thought it as well that god came up with that cliff side where them windows are too thats crazy

I love the isle of wite it’s so lovely , I got stuck on the chair lift 🛗 once but luckily we were in the forest part so not too high .

I've been to Isle of White for a school trip to Kingswood activity center and stayed at the center for a weak and I loved it we built a raft and said it in the sea and did rock climbing and went to the beach for a swim we did so many things and a mud trail it was messey

Top tip climb the hill to the top of the needles. Its all about the views. Also there are two forts and the rocket launch site up there.
We’ll have to do that next time!

Personally i think you where quite lucky with the weather. Sure it wasn't sunny, but the most important it was not raining and not windy at all. I take that over sunshine (and most likely windy) any day visiting the seasides.
We were indeed very lucky!
When I went to the Isle of White I was given the choice of the needles or Blackgang chime and sadly I chose Blackgang chine for the cred happy to see some video of the needles to compensate

It’s literally a tip lived on the Isle of Wight until I escaped lol
I can relate to Charlotte feeling nervous! I can ride a giga-coaster all day but when I get on something like the chair lift which is at height just because it can be ... not feeling it!!
It was quite open!
When I was holidaying there back in the day (mid '60s), the lighthouse used to look different.
Didn't it have a top part on it instead of a flat top ?

I went down that chairlift in 1982 . Went to Alum Bay and bought back some coloured sand . Not the same now not more expensive. Think the chairlift was £1.50 .

I have been there years ago and I hate chair lifts but we went on them and this was back in 1988 and we looked at Black Gang Chine but didn't go in it!!!

I went there in the early 80s .you could get your own coloured sand from the beach back then.

It’s a great place to visit!
While visiting the island, did actually visit this attraction, experienced the chairlift in one direction going upwards, walking down to boats and beach, didn't ride on boats, but hopefully one day? Saw the rides aswell, never went on any, but did stay awhile there. This is actually where I brought while on family holiday a Red Arrows Mug that I still have till this day apart of my collection. Wasn't expecting that when visiting, also just like to say that currently rollercoaster mad at the moment which is why looking at valley, did you ever when travelling down cliff ever have a thought what if this attraction had a wooden rollercoaster or RMC Coaster underneath and interacting with paths, cliff chair and landscape? Because I 100% did while watching this video, think maybe a GCI Coaster or RMC Coaster would be amazing if possible and fit in that valley. If not, have a coaster built nearer to car park somewhere? Would be epic. Anyways, cheers for sharing another adventure, really could do a song for charity? Be like Lad baby and maybe get to number 1? Only make a song about theme parks and adventures? Just a suggestion? Cheers. :)

Me and my partner were watching this video last night, and then I had a dream about treading on needles all over the floor and then someone picking them up and trying to prick me with them. I woke up and said "that was a bizarre dream" and my partner said " you know why you had that dream don't you?" Then he started singing Charlotte's needles song to me hahaha!!!

There's one in Portsmouth there isn't one really near Bournemouth it's Portsmouth to Ryde wightlink or Southampton to cowes
We did the Portsmouth to Fishbourne route

20 mins is to short to actually see things lots of tiny beaches u can visit if u hire a boat by urself best boat trip i went to was exploring manorca by boat very nice

Uninteresting fact for you - The Needles did have a Vintage Car ride until a few years ago (classic Supercar-built version), and it was actually ex-Lightwater Valley (quite a trek down South for it to go)
