Hello Mark, I am a 56-year-old young French bassist, I started in May 2021 thanks to lessons and tutorials on TH-cam, I really like the slap, but I have a lot of trouble mastering it, even soon with my 2 year old bass. I have an Ibanez 5 string, I do not know if it is suitable for slap. And yet I still played a few titles in the 80s when I was a DJ in a nightclub in France. I appreciate the way you practice the bass. I pull my hair out when I try to slap, it doesn't sound as good as I would like. Friendships from France.

It's a completely different type of music but the bassist in 'Korn" plays amazing slappadabass 😊
