I visited the Thatch from the US, and I must say, this was my favorite pub I visited. It was by chance I ran in to one of the musicians earlier that same day who invited me out. I am so glad I went. Even got the opportunity to play some american folk songs for them. I can't wait to return

A bit of this, that and the other all adds up to one helluva good video👍 how that castle ruin was still standing is beyond me! The footage from the trail cam was awesome. Love listening to you talk about dark pathways and transitional zones (think that's right) you're wonderful to listen to. I don't think I'd have gone too far into those woods after Raven got spooked😂 how lucky are your friends though to have a back garden like that. Take care ❤

Yes, that trail looks like a badger one. I've seen one in similar circumstances and they are almost tunnels in places because of how often and for how long they are used. I used to have Pine Martens at my place and used to feed them. I could go on about them but will just say that all wildlife books describe them as very wary animals. But in my experience where there is easy food for them they are the least wary mammals in Britain and Ireland and will enter occupied houses.
Aye they are very inquisitive creatures the marten I’ve heard of them standing on windowsills and even coming inside for a peanut 😂 beautiful creatures 😉 thanks for watching !
@@JPLamoureuxsTravels I hesitate to say this as it's usually met with disbelieving looks. I actually had one, after much hesitation, come into my house and take a strip of bread from my hand. I wish I could demonstrate the circumstances. It came about 2 yards or so into the house. I have reason to believe it was young, so not as wary, and used to coming here to feed. It was a male (broader head and generally 'butch') and there was a female at the time who used to come. I think they were siblings. They used to sometimes fight, sounding like cats. I've heard other accounts of them entering houses when the occupier was out and that also happened to me. They are notorious for nesting in roof spaces. I had one scratching at my door a couple of years ago. Sounded like a dog. They have broad paws with sharp nails. Freaked me out as I heard something moving about outside first, then jump, as you mentioned, on the windowsill. I went out, it was night-time, with a weapon in my hand! Then I saw it and relaxed. I think it was after mice that were around some junk near the door at the time. I swear this is all true. I could go on but will bore you no more.

Never caught Pine Martens on Trailcam. But I have on a normal daytime walk. Not a thing on trailcam in ages lol but did have dear watching me set them up at the weekend. Take care and stay safe.

The music was great, the scenery beautiful & the stunning wildlife too.....the fox, mouse & pine martin weren't bad either🤣🤣 Funny how animals sense things, good or bad. My old Springer used to love going in the sea when I went to my dads. Then one day she just wouldn't go in & I didn't know why. We had a walk up the lane & came back to the beach & she still wouldn't go in. Then up popped a seal & it all made sense. The seal used to visit the bay, when it was out of season for the he tourists, so late autumn/winter. Probably easier food pickings for it too, from the odd fishing boat. My dog wouldn't go in the water whilst it was there though 😄 Glad you had a good time at your friends wedding & got to spend time catching up with them all.

Yes, that trail looks like a badger one. I've seen one in similar circumstances and they are almost tunnels in places because of how often and for how long they are used. I used to have Pine Martens at my place and used to feed them. I could go on about them but will just say that all wildlife books describe them as very wary animals. But in my experience where there is easy food for them they are the least wary mammals in Britain and Ireland and will enter occupied houses.
Aye they are very inquisitive creatures the marten I’ve heard of them standing on windowsills and even coming inside for a peanut 😂 beautiful creatures 😉 thanks for watching !
@@JPLamoureuxsTravels I hesitate to say this as it's usually met with disbelieving looks. I actually had one, after much hesitation, come into my house and take a strip of bread from my hand. I wish I could demonstrate the circumstances. It came about 2 yards or so into the house. I have reason to believe it was young, so not as wary, and used to coming here to feed. It was a male (broader head and generally 'butch') and there was a female at the time who used to come. I think they were siblings. They used to sometimes fight, sounding like cats. I've heard other accounts of them entering houses when the occupier was out and that also happened to me. They are notorious for nesting in roof spaces. I had one scratching at my door a couple of years ago. Sounded like a dog. They have broad paws with sharp nails. Freaked me out as I heard something moving about outside first, then jump, as you mentioned, on the windowsill. I went out, it was night-time, with a weapon in my hand! Then I saw it and relaxed. I think it was after mice that were around some junk near the door at the time. I swear this is all true. I could go on but will bore you no more.

Never caught Pine Martens on Trailcam. But I have on a normal daytime walk. Not a thing on trailcam in ages lol but did have dear watching me set them up at the weekend. Take care and stay safe.

The music was great, the scenery beautiful & the stunning wildlife too.....the fox, mouse & pine martin weren't bad either🤣🤣 Funny how animals sense things, good or bad. My old Springer used to love going in the sea when I went to my dads. Then one day she just wouldn't go in & I didn't know why. We had a walk up the lane & came back to the beach & she still wouldn't go in. Then up popped a seal & it all made sense. The seal used to visit the bay, when it was out of season for the he tourists, so late autumn/winter. Probably easier food pickings for it too, from the odd fishing boat. My dog wouldn't go in the water whilst it was there though 😄 Glad you had a good time at your friends wedding & got to spend time catching up with them all.
