MK1 VW Caddy EP2 - Lowering the truck! (Coilovers & Lowering Plates)

Hey guys! Back again with another Volkswagen MK1 Caddy Truck video!
Today I go ahead and lower it on Coilovers in the front and Lowering Plates in the rear!
Please excuse my looks as I had just gotten out of a cold 😂

I have a tan 81 rabbit also. For future rabbit lowering, you can just do a leaf under conversion and it lowers the rear 3 inches and it’s free. You just have to take the leafs out and mount them on the bottom of the rear beam

Hey I have a Gti 1.8 with the close ratio transmission if you were to need it I’m up in western NC. Great looking truck

curious what shocks you used in the rear? or can you keep the oem ones installed with this kit?

Hey there! So it had some OEM style shocks in the back which were pretty sad, but it rode great still. Hope that helps! The rear drop plates and front coils do 99% of the work :)

Did you have to put the brake line on top of the leaf spring ?

Nope, I did however loosen off the centre bolt that holds the brake line where it divides to give it a little movement. Otherwise it was pretty good!
